Total bait-and-switch experience! I requested a quote through Yelp for an OEM iPhone 6 battery replacement and was quoted $39 "For an apple oem battery." When I arrived, the worker (who was busy flirting with a female customer) asked me if I was given a quote already. I told him I was quoted $39 for an OEM battery; he said the new price was $59, but that he would honor the price I was quoted and to return in 35 min (then he continued flirting with the other customer). When I returned 40 min later, I found the phone opened but not fixed. The worker told me that they don't have an OEM battery, wasn't sure why I was quoted for one, and said that those were only available from the Apple store. He didn't have a good reply when I asked why he didn't mention that when I dropped off the phone and discussed the *OEM* battery quote with him. He said he remembered I said something about OEM which is why he didn't install the after market battery without confirming with me first. He generously said he would do the after market battery for the same $39 price. Thankfully I was disgusted enough with the experience to walk away. I got my OEM battery replacement at Cellaris just a few booths away in half the time and at almost half the price! I don't write many reviews, but after what happened to me at iProTech, I felt it was my civil duty to warn everyone else about my experience! read more

I'm really shocked they are still in business. I took my phone to them about two years ago. They ended up ruining my iPhone. I went for a simple screen change and my phone would not turn on anymore. I complained for my money back and they wouldn't refund me. I had to buy a new phone when all I wanted was my broken screen to be fixed. Since then, I've now taken my phone to another place in Glendale several times for a broken screen and not once have I ever had any issues. I just found out my dads phone has been acting up ever since he went there for his screen change. I found out he went here and I wish I knew so I could have told him my experience so he could have avoided these amateurs. They don't know what they are doing. DO NOT GO HERE! Scammers!!!!!! My phone screen was fixed and less than warranty time (90 days) the screen is lifting .. its causing my screen to glitch like crazy .... i pushed down on my screen since it lifted and became in usable and it ended up getting a tiny crack in it. Receipt says warranty is void if there's any cracks. They did a terrible job replacing my screen and it was EXPENSIVE then they tell me that they will replace for 100 dollars again! I thought my iPhone 6 was fried after my water bottle leaked into my bag and got liquid on the charge port. I took the phone to the Apple Store and they opened it, said they saw 'rust' from the water, and the only option was to pay $300+ tax for a replacement. Additionally, with the exception of using my iCloud (which is a paid service if you want more than 5gb and my phone is 64gb) Apple offered no options for retrieving all the data on the phone and suggested I go to some old school place in Pasadena. I was looking at $375 data recovery and $330 to replace the phone, until I met Eldor at iProtech right downstairs. On a whim I stopped by the kiosk with the signs 'We Fix Phones'. Eldor sat alone like a mad scientist, simultanously finishing 3 other phones in the 30-40 minutes I waited there for him to finish up on mine. He hooked up a new screen and battery to my 'water damaged' iPhone that Apple was ready to melt into scrap and within minutes it was powered up and working like new again! Came here on a whim and it saved me $500! I was much happier with the new screen for $109 and Battery for $60 instead of having to replace the entire phone and recover the data. I called in before visiting a couple of days ago to get an estimate on my iPhone 6s screen replacement cost. I was quoted a good price and I even asked for the original screen. I went in to get my screen replaced. I got it back and immediately noticed that the screen looked fuzzy and sort of like a budget aftermarket screen. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I also noticed immediately my battery life suffered drastically. I called them up today and they said that the price they charged me for was for an aftermarket screen when I was told something different over the phone. I also questioned the battery life problem, they then replied that battery life and screen have nothing to do with one another???? I've researched this claim and it is actually wrong. A bad, aftermarket screen can actually drastically kill your battery life. They told me I can come back in to get the "original" screen at an extra cost. Terrible customer service and communication. Was given a free charger which was cheaply made and the lightning connector completely came off after 3 months of usage, thankfully it did not come out while it was plugged into the phone! The screen replacement was not bad until a year later when the right side of the screen was no longer sticking to the phone itself, it was becoming loose. Edit: Since someone from the company decided to reply to me, their response is all you need to know about the people you are dealing with. "Also you need learn how to appreciate people who gives you something for free, if it was a free why are you leaving a bad review in the first place!" I purposely left out a detail about the free charger but since they want to call me out, I'll do the same. The free charger was only given to me in exchange for a 5 star review on yelp which they asked me to do on the spot after returning my phone. They then verified that that the review was actually published and only then they gave me the charger, it wasn't as if it was out of good gesture, it was a bribe for 5 star reviews. read more

You're all better off going to an Apple Store! These techs are negligent in fixing your phones and instead of fixing fix your phone or electronic gadget, they may create new problems that didn't exist beforehand. A close friend of mine paid them $150 to fix her brand new iPhone 6plus. She opted to take her phone to this place instead of an actual Apple Store because of its "convenience", but little did she know that it would turn into a huge inconvenience! Long story short, she has taken her device back to them 3 times to fix the issues that they created, and since they failed to fix her phone now they just want to pay her back the $150 they initially charged her. However, the ethical thing for this business to do would be to replace her phone, since now it has new mechanical problems that did not exist when she initially took her phone in. Annoyed. I initially am someone whose very responsible with my phone's and had an unfortunate occurrence of dropping the phone which of course resulted in the screen shattering. I dealt with the issue for quite some time and decided I couldn't take it anymore and decided to go up to the kiosk one day since I was at the mall and ask how much they charged to repair the phone. The gentlemen who was working told me it was initially $60 dollars so I came back a day after and it went from $60 to $90. They fixed my screen, it seemed fine and then of course it starts to get glitches. Battery life all of a sudden dies when it's 60% -- phone shuts off when I have a call, can't get the touch pad, and different things. Long story short? I am currently waiting on a new phone I ordered because this business had my screen detach itself completely after a few weeks of having it "fixed". read more
