I came to this shop purely paying for convenience because I was on vacation 500 miles away from home with my family and didn't have my tools or a garage. Instead of receiving professional service, I experienced a clear case of predatory misdiagnosis and sloppy workmanship. I was told I needed a brand-new radiator and thermostat, quoted at $2,016. I authorized the repairs out of necessity because my family was stranded. When I returned at 5:30 PM to pick up the vehicle, it was actively leaking coolant in their parking lot. Only after they pulled the car back into the bay did they realize the true issue: a defective radiator cap. They replaced the cap, and the leaking finally stopped. However, the store refused to refund me for the expensive radiator and labor I did not need. To justify the charge, they claimed I had a "pinhole leak" in my radiator fin. Any competent tech knows that a leaking radiator cap will weep fluid down the filler neck and side tanks, pooling at the bottom and creating a "wet corner" on the radiator. This is a textbook misdiagnosis--they saw a wet corner caused by the failing cap, failed to test the cap, and unnecessarily replaced the entire radiator. Had there actually been an active pinhole leak in the core, the vehicle would have overheated or sprayed constantly during my 15-minute drive on the interstate to get to the shop, which it never did. The absolute smoking gun: My official invoice explicitly states that the shop would pressure test my radiator cap. Not only did they fail to do this, but the staff openly admitted to me that they do not even own a radiator cap pressure tester in this store. They charged me for a diagnostic test they physically could not perform, which directly led to a completely unnecessary $2,000 repair. Furthermore, the communication was completely dishonest. During the day, I was explicitly told two different times by staff that my vehicle had passed the pressure test on two different tests. When I confronted them about this later, they completely denied it ever happened and claimed they didn't know who would have said that to me. It is incredibly obvious that a major diagnostic mistake was made due to a lack of proper equipment, and the shop is trying to cover it up at the expense of a stranded traveler. To top it all off, the pride in workmanship was non-existent. I had to explicitly ask them to put my skid plate back on the bottom of the car. They also left the rubber weather stripping seal under my hood completely twisted with broken plastic retaining pins. While they eventually refunded an unauthorized extended warranty they snuck onto my bill and offered a small credit for the broken pins, the store is still refusing to refund the money spent on an unnecessary radiator and the labor to install it.

Today was the last straw for me. I called around 2:30pm to inquire about a tool that they showed to be a dealer for. The first guy on the phone was great, if I would have only ask for his name... They had the tool. Great! Let him know I would be down before 5pm to pick it up, this tool is $1,500 I then called back at about 4:15 (in my car driving there) and spoke with Rich, I let rich know that per the map on my phone I would be there right at 5... map showed 4:59 arrival time. I ask to do what ever was needed pay for the product by phone so that I could walk in and then out. I was told that they close at 5pm sharp. I ask if there was anyway they could or would stay 2 min after 5pm. Again Rich refused to offer any option and provided the opposite of customer service but more of a I don't care attitude. I lost my cool and stated "really your telling me that you aren't willing to wait 2 min for someone spending $1500 f%*#ing dollars".... catching myself I then apologized... Rich was so kind as to remind me that he was walking out the door right at 5pm as to agitate me further. I arrive at 5:02pm and Rich made true on his promise.. Doors were locked and I wasted over 2 hrs of my day driving there and then driving back. Thank you McGee for ensuring that I, my company and hopefully anyone I know and people reading this never spend a dime with you. I am a pretty reasonable person and have never experienced anything like this complete service failure in my 34yrs on this earth
