Let me begin with I have sensitive teeth and a fear of dentists. A recent toothache led me to a dentist (who I won't name here), the manner in which they treated me only amplified my fears. My insurance recommended Dr. Ganzha for care, so I called them. The front end staff was friendly and accommodating and even nicer in person. I was then taken in by Celeste for X-rays. Let me tell you she was exceptional. She was friendly, kind and put my fears at ease. The doctor on duty was great and it turns out the other place that recommended 2 root canals, well I needed some minor work, a cap and a deep cleaning. The work I needed required 3 visits and each time everyone treated me kindly and provided me with excellent care. They were so good that the fear I've had my entire life of dentists has been greatly reduced! Again giants thanks to everyone, especially Celeste, she's the best and deserves a raise! read more

Not a very friendly dentist. They also make you pay out of pocket if you want white fillings instead of silver when other Medi-cal dentists offer it in the area. They also made me feel bad and kept making fun of me for having a lot of cavities, sorry not everyone grows up with parents who take them to the dentist. That's the reason i'm here is to fix it not be put down. I'd rather pay out of pocket somewhere else than give them another penny. read more

Rushed appointment with horrible service. Unorganized and very messy office. At the time I visited I had medical and they attempted to charge me for white fillings instead of silver, which is illegal if you're a in network dentist with medical. Simply stop accepting patients with medical if you're going to try charging copays for every little thing. Switch to PPO! I had a filling that broke very shortly after and my new dentist said they did a horrible job just after a quick glance of what was left of the filling. This negligence almost caused me to have a root canal. Don't recommend! read more

How can I not write a review about my dentist!?! I've been coming here for about 10 years now, and I only have positive comments! The doctors here are super nice and they take their time to explain everything to you, but who I love most is one of the super cool receptionists here! Her name is Maria! She has been there as long as I can remember, but she makes me feel comfortable in the place I dislike the most. I really don't like going to the dentist because of my childhood memories, but Maria gives me a reason to go get my teeth checked! She is really good about looking into your insurance and explaining the finance part too. I also wish I knew the name of the dentist/dental hygienist that helped my daughter. Once I find out, I'll edit this review, she is an angel and made my daughter feel safe and comfortable. She explained step by step what they were doing to her tooth. She went as far as giving my daughter money to buy something for doing such a great job. She even bought her a gift. I've never met anyone like this in my life. I loved this place so much I recommended my entire family to go here! Oh, this place is in a plaza with a jiffy lube and the parking area is limited, but I haven't had any trouble with parking so far. It's been 4 months since they have not called back. I've called in 3 different occasions the last 4 months and they're response is the same. Definitely not recommended. I am a veteran in dental treatment and dental client for life, because so many issues I have with my teeth. Dr Ganzha is the answer to my prayers and compensation for all my previous frustration and pain caused by my ex-dentists: for instance, one dentist left open margins in newly installed crowns, another one drilled my teeth till cracking (and had me signed papers they are not liable for that). Thanks God someone at work refereed me to Dr. Ganzha. Dr Irina Ganzha was/is a life saver - she fixed my crowns so no food getting stuck in there, now my crowns are functional and look even better than my real teeth. She did beautiful job picking color, shape, and was not hesitant to work through the process and adjust settings before cementing crowns. She treated and healed my swollen gums. She is soo patient, pleasant and truly gentle dentist! Dr Ganzha is extremely detail oriented and deliberate dentist - I consider myself a demanding or even extra demanding patient, but she over exceded my standards. Dr Ganzha earned my trust and she did my implant too. It took almost a year, but I got my tooth back! She did everything from implant to beautiful crown, everything perfect, painless and very very gentle. I highly recommend Dr Irina Ganzha if you are looking for a truly caring and high quality dentist. Of yes, she is affordable too, and not one of those dentists that would harass you for $40 copay long time after you gone from their office. This an Invisalign based experience only. I went to Dr. Irina because she was close to my house and had a really great deal on invisalign. Needless to say, I was stuck with her from November- September because of my constant invisalign "check ups" hardly so. Dr. Irina doesn't seem like she really cares for your teeth. She's not personable, but tries to be and she really does a rushed job on everything. When I first got my attachments for my invisalign, her dental assistant Marvin (who no longer works there) was really nice and took his time to make them comfortable for me. When she did mine, she rushed through the procedure and didn't even clean them up so they were still noticeable. Even when she removed them, they still felt gritty and rough- when I asked her to polish it up I felt like she was annoyed by my constant requests. Invisalign is great and doesn't require a lot of maintenance with the dentist and for that I am GRATEFUL. I would recommend going to an orthodontist instead of a dentist if you're looking into Invisalign... just because I feel like they'd have a better idea of how your teeth shift. The only good thing about the office are the assistants. Maria and Christy are really friendly and make going to the office more bearable. I honestly felt like just another name in Dr. Irina's patient book. read more

Love her! Dr Ganzha has been my dentist for many many years. I even went to a dentist closer to home and still ended up going back to her.

Dr. Irina is not for everyone, let me start there. But what I will say is that she is clearly passionate about her work, and is very demanding of the performance of her staff, and takes the quality of her work very seriously. Her accent is a little thick, I think one other reviewer mentioned this as well, it was not a barrier for me, but I manage a team in China remotely so I'm used to dealing with cultural differences. She was willing to negotiate better rates for cash patients which I am. to be clear - they do accept insurance (someone else was using insurance while I was waiting) but for those of us without insurance. The rates are fair and affordable, and when I explained that I'd be will to pay in full up front, she did offer a discount (for which I was appreciative) Bottom line - I would not be going back if I didn't think they do great work. they do. got a cleaning and a filling. very professional, very quick service and in the end the doctor is great. If you are looking for a "warm fuzzy feeling" like some of those sedation dentistry places where the dentist takes them-self too seriously. This is not it. If you want a skilled dentist who is professional, takes pride in her work, and provides her service at a good value - this is a good option. read more

For those of you who are expecting that you will be seen on time, be aware: receptionist told me when I get in office that each doctor takes 2 patients at same time period. Since I got in here second for the same time slot, I had to wait 20+ mins before being seen by doctor...Make the teeth cleaning appointment a super long one. What a waste of time. read more

Dr. Ganzhas demeanor is horrible. Talks to you like you're a kid and tells you that you need this and that done to get more money. The way she talks to her employees is very belittling. YOU ARE WARNED !!!!!!!!!!!!! I had 3 teeth feel sensitive during teeth cleaning procedure. Dr. Irina said she would "reinstate" the teeth for me. She DIDN'T explain the procedure and explain why it was necessary, just told me to sign the paper which didn't clearly explain the procedure anyway. My mouth was numbed/painful (never had such level of pain with my previous dentists). As I was numbed, I couldn't ask question at the time, just wanted it to be done soon so I signed the paper. It turns out she did 3 teeth filings (on teeth that weren't cavity). For teeth sensitivity, the first approach should be trying remedy such as using Sensodyne. Dr. Irina didn't make such suggestion, but rushed to do filling right away. After the procedures. ALL three filings cause me a great deal of pain for months and the discomfort lasted over 1 year. The job done was also very lousy, you could see the uneven surface of the filing just by naked eye. Should have been a one star for the visit, gave another star as they did gave a free second visit to consult for the pain/sensitivity and offered to refund the co-paid I made. read more

I left my old dentist short of them recommending reconstructive teeth surgery! Doc Ganzha takes great care of you! Most recently, my new dentist became Doctor D. who is absolutely amazing; as is the rest of the staff - who are very friendly and helpful. I went there with a problem, I came out as good as new. Very wonderful and thorough dentist. One of the best I've ever had in my life. She's very knowledgeable and likes to explain what is happening to your teeth. She's not like other dentists I've had that just tell you what you have and not how you got it or why it's there (ie bacteria, gaps in teeth, etc.) She's very knowledgeable about preventive care. The staff are very conversational and friendly too! They always ask me how I am and make sure that everything is ready for me ahead of time, like paperwork to fill out. I came in for an invisalign consultation the very first time I was there. The staff were keen on everything about invisalign, and the dentist knew right away, just looking at my teeth, how long it might take to straighten them out. Fortunately my case is an easier one =) The first time I got my teeth cleaned here, I I looked in the mirror and they were VERY CLEAN. Even below the gum line was noticeably clean. I like my dentist, and not just because she gives me purple toothbrushes. I am crabby on dental appt days in anticipation of the discomfort (much the same as ob/gyn appt days) but I have to give them credit where it's due: they do good work here, are nice despite crabby patrons, and deserve your business. 1- the front desk women also assist in the back -they are professional and friendly, and magically greet you by name when you enter. That's a nice touch in an increasingly impersonal medical field. 2- the dentist is also friendly and makes you feel comfortable, as much as you can when they're poking around in your mouth. The thing I like is that she doesn't ask me questions when she knows darned well I can't answer- my last dentist was like that and I wanted to pinch his leg every time he did it. 3- I got a 6 month cleaning last Friday and it took 30 mins and I was OUTTA there and on my way to Friday night- it was thorough yet quick, just like it should be (but rarely is). Nice job ladies, I have clean and shiny choppers now and am smiling 'cause I'm done for another 6 months- They got 4 stars 'cause going to the dentist sucks no matter how good they are, but if they were a candy store they'd get 5 stars for SURE! read more

I avoid the dentist at ALL costs. Nothing against the staff but I just cannot stand having my teeth worked on. It finally caught up with me and I had a cavity that needed to be take care of ASAP. I came into Dr. Ganzhas' office simply because it was very close to my house. I ended up needing a root canal, which the words alone made me quiver. After about an hour I was all done and ready to go. I barely felt a thing! Dr. Ganzha does amazing work and actually LISTENS to her patients unlike a lot places I've been. I've had two wisdom teeth and one other tooth extracted, with barely any pain or inconvenience. The only thing I'm not stoked about is the wait. Twice I've had to wait an extra long time and didn't quite know why. Other than that, this is the best dentist I've ever been to and recommend everyone that is looking for a dentist to come here. Not to mention the receptionists and other staff are extremely nice. It's nice to be treated with respect these days! read more

This place is okay if you need to book an appointment ASAP but I will warn you there is a WAIT!! I waited for 20 minutes in the waiting area and by the time the doctor, who by the way is not the original dentist Dr. Pham, came in the room it was another 10 minutes! SO I WAITED half an hour before my appointment time to be seen! And when the new dentist came in she was not pleasant at all! She was not gentle and I felt liked she rushed through my appointment. And when it came to them telling me to do dental work, I felt kinda pressured, they wouldn't take NO for an answer. I just go there because it's close to me and the nurse that works there has been there for a long time and knows me well. He's probably the main reason I return. He's cool and seems to know what he's doing. So if you don't mind: 1) a long wait 2) a scary looking doctor who you can barely understand because she speaks fast and is rushing 3) IT's NO LONGER OWNED BY DR. PHAM (the first doctor that I seen Then maybe it's for you. I recently search the internet looking for dental care and came across Irina Ganzha. I was told that the work I was asking about would run about 600 dollars, the exam would be free and that the doctor would take payments. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a friendly and professional receptionist, but that was the end of my good experience. I found the doctor cold and distant in fact; her accent kept me from understanding most of what she said. She informed me that what I "needed" was going to cost closer to 925 dollars and that she really wasn't willing to take payments unless a credit card was present. After letting her know that I was looking into other dentist she quickly dropped the price 25 dollars and let me know that I could get the work cheaper, but that it wouldn't be as good as her work. I am looking to start a relationship with whatever dentist I find and Dr. Ganzha just wasn't for me. Good luck! read more

I have been to North Capitol Dental a few times for cleaning. My first two experiences were good. When I went for my third visit that involved filling, I was told I would have to pay $175 out of pocket since my insurance only covered 80% of total cost. I was a little taken back and said that didn't make sense. My husband has had fillings done before under the same plan and it never cost so much, so I told her I will have to think about paying so much. I was about to walk out, when all of a sudden she said she will drop the fee and I would just have to pay the co-pay of $40. I asked why she was giving me such big discount and she said she really cared about my teeth. I don't believe that. It sounds like their business plan is to charge gullible customers who are willing to pay and provide discounts anyone who will question it. It felt like I was in a fish market and not a professional office. One minute I am paying $175 and next minute its $40. I did feel comfortable getting deal services from such office. If you do end up going here for services, please "bargain" so you don't end up having to pay more than what you should. read more

I am doing a review for my braces treatment. I chose this office because of the location and was given a fair price at my consultation. However, I wish I had taken my business else where. 1. When I first came here, I was assigned to my first orthodontist who eventually left and they had to replace with someone else. 2. The orthodontist for this office is only there three times out of the month. (I wish I had known this beforehand) This can be such a burden because you have to make your appointments based around their schedule. The only good thing about this place is the friendly and attentive receptionists. If you are looking to straighten your teeth, I would recommend going to an official orthodontist office who would always be on staff. read more
