These guys are awesome, we took Irish Express for the ND/USC game and it was a great experience. 100% the best way to get from Chicago to a ND game, regardless of who you're rooting for, and well worth the price. Most stress free ND trip I've ever had. Check-In was easy and the buffet at the bar was good (actual restaurant food breakfast - eggs, potatoes, bacon, pancakes, etc.) and we were able to get a few free drinks before boarding. Buses were nice enough, no leather seats or anything like that but definitely solid coach buses. All you can drink bar on the way there and back with quality alcohol (Goose Island beer, Jack, Tito's, Tanqueray, etc.) as well as snacks on the ride in. The tailgate area was plenty big and had a bunch of games set up under tents as well as tables and chairs and TV's, tons of food and open bar. We didn't stay long as we were meeting friends but this would be a great place to tailgate prior. Bus ride back had sandwiches and an open bar. We were even able to get a free drink once we got back to Chiacgo at the pick up/drop off bar. Everybody that works for Irish Express was really nice, from check-in to our bartender on the bus, they made sure everyone had a great time. After missing the alumni bus option, I found the Irish express service to attend the USC v. Notre Dame football game. For $125/pp, I got a round trip bus ride to south bend, unlimited non alcoholic drinks, and a sandwich and chips and drinks on the way back. With a convenient pick up and drop off location it was a very convenient option and a good value. For those wanting more of a party there are ticket options with an open bar. If you are planning to go see a Notre Dame game (Bucketlist) the Irish Express is the only way to go. They feed you breakfast with bloody Mary's or Mimosas then take you on a 2 hour ride to the Notre Dame campus drinking and having a blast all the way done on the bus. When you get there, they have a tailgate all setup for you with plenty of food and open bar for three hours. Then you go to the game and after the game come back to the bus and drink for another 2 hours until you get back to Old Town Social. You can then go in the bar and get 1 more free beer. My husband, adult kids and I went on the Irish Express for the North Carolina game. We had a great experience. I was expecting to maybe get 1 beer during our trip to South Bend, however our bus bartender, Cynthia, was fantastic!! She was fun, efficient and knew how to handle a rowdy very fun bus. Once we got to South Bend Irish Express already had the huge tents, large TVs and food all ready to go. The tailgate food was good . I have to admit the beginning was a bit shaky at venue where everyone was offered a light brunch and a drink prior to loading up on the bus. There were about 10 busses worth of people in there. The place was definitely big enough but they could have used more bartenders to enable everyone to get their free drink without being stressed. After the game they handed out a brown bag with a good sandwich in it. Of course the Irish won so the ride home was just as fun and Cynthia did just as great of a job. read more

Came in to Chicago for the 1st time from Fresno, CA to watch the Stanford vs Notre Dame game.. The Irish Express put together a great day of travel and tailgating.. They were extremely prepared and organized.. there was plenty of food and alcohol to make the day truly enjoyable.. my only recommendation would be to expand the beer options to include Bud or Coors options.. other than that I would definitely do this again. read more

We took the Irish Express to the NC State Notre Dame Game. Everything was perfect and made our trip to the game so easy and so fun. The breakfast buffet was even better than we were expecting. There were several options to pick from and all of the staff were extremely friendly checking us in. The bus ride down and back was great with several drinks and even a rest room to use. Our bus did not have wifi, which was the only downfall. The tailgate was a nice set up close to the stadium. The food was good. They even had TVs to watch the games on while we ate and drank. After the game, there was a sandwich waiting for us on the bus along with drinks the entire way back. Once you arrive back to the bar, you get a free drink. Even the bar staff was extremely friendly asking if we had fun and how the trip went. We lucked out with seats right behind the bartender, Trinidad, for the bus trip. Not only was she excellent at serving the drinks, but she really made the entire experience for us. She was so friendly and kept us laughing all night long. Once we arrived back at the bar, she made a point to come hang out with us even longer (when she could have gone home or hung out with her friends on the Saturday before Halloween).She is a gem and they are lucky to have her! Took the Irish Express for the USC vs Notre Dame game this last weekend and this worked out great! I don't know how but our bus only has 2 Notre De fans which worked out great. The staff was extremely friendly. Our bartender Joseph aka Joe was very nice. Full breakfast buffet in the morning which was very good. The bus had WiFi and a restroom. Upon arriving to ND there was a huge canopy with tables, corn hole, TVs and 2 different bars. Lunch buffet was good. Following the game while there was another snack for us on the bus. Just got back from a guys trip with two of my best buddies to see the Norte Dame Michigan game. Buddy booked us on this and let me tell you one of the best experiences going to a college game I've ever had! First off I am a Wolverine fan from Arizona and was still treated like family. The staff, bar and bus was extremely well organized and when they say alcohol is included they aren't kidding. For anyone that is wondering it isn't cheap bottles either. I had the most amazing experience with The Irish express. We went to the ND vs FSU game. It was a long day. Met at Punch Bowl Social at 9:30 in the morning and arrived back at 1:00 am. Yes, a very long day. Irish express was absolutely wonderful. My father was extremely ill with pneumonia and Dillon was kind enough to allow my father to rest on the bus while everyone was tailgating. It was a freezing day. The bus drivers were amazing and our bartender AJ is a star!! I will definitely book them again. The food was great and the drinks never stopped flowing. Only suggested improvement was from my wife over the lack of any desserts at the tailgate itself, but I'll take the food/drink spread they had over sweets any day! 100% positive experience with this top class organization. Before we even got to Chicago, there was frequent, detailed communication from the owner. He accommodated our request to change departure times. When the big weekend arrived, our group took the early departure Irish Express for the Georgia-Notre Dame game. Check-in was easy, and they made sure our group would be on the same bus together even though not everyone arrived at bar together. Printed itinerary they provided helped us get around campus. Breakfast buffet at Old Town Social was great: eggs, French toast, sausage, bacon, fruit, pancakes, coffee, pitchers of water to stay hydrated, and servers brought around bottomless mimosas/bloody Marys. All included. This game drew a huge crowd, but it never felt too crowded at the pre-ride bar. Comfortable bus with a bathroom for the ride. Bar tender on bus made sure everyone had what they needed: beer and mixed drinks. Quality of liquor was surprisingly good (and the same top shelf selections were at the actual tailgate). Once we arrived at the Boy Scout parking lot directly across the street from campus, there were plenty of clean port-o-potties available. Tailgate set up was unbelievable: large wedding reception style tents with enough bars and bar tenders that you never had to wait long for a drink. Plenty of tables and chairs. Televisions with large speakers were everywhere with two different games on. Food was available right away and was great: hamburgers with fixings available, hot dogs, brats, grilled chicken, potato salad, cole slaw, and beans. After the game (Go Dawgs!), alcohol was still available on the bus ride home until entering back into Illinois, for those so inclined. They also provided a nice boxed meal (chicken salad on a pretzel bun, water, cookies, candy). Owner was on site the whole time to answer any questions. If they could do such a great job with this mega game, Irish Express can handle any game. ONE IMPORTANT PIECE OF INFO: This bus is not only for Notre Dame fans. I believe they will try to organize "party buses" for the fans of visiting teams as well. We were looking for a fun way to get from Chicago to Notre Dame for the ND/USC game this year. As USC fans, we were a little worried about going with the opponent's fans, but the Irish Express experience couldn't have been better. First, they ask you what team you're rooting for, and though they don't guarantee it, it seems like they made a real effort to put most of the SC fans on one bus, which was nice! The breakfast at Punch Bowl Social was awesome, great little bites and drinks to start the day. On our bus, Faye was our bartender and she was great. Kind and attentive, and she made good drinks. I don't remember our driver's name but he was also great, it was a very safe trip both ways. We were meeting some friends so we didn't attend the Irish Express tailgate, but it was still worth it just for even just the bus ride there and back. After the game, we came back to sandwiches and waters waiting for us, as well as more drinks on request if we wanted them. The bus had wifi and USB plug ins for your phone! Dillon and his team hosted a perfect day trip from Chicago to South Bend for our large contingent of Hokies visiting the Fighting Irish. There were 5 buses comprising around 200 football fans, and Dillon's team was welcoming, organized, and fun. The booze was top shelf, the food excellent, the driver, Kaaz, was so engaging, and Liz, the bartender, worked her tail off nonstop. I couldn't be more satisfied.
