Very interesting history behind this restaurant. I loved the old feel of the place as you walk in. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered an 8oz steak special that came with a side (I chose a baked potato), and the salad bar. The steak had a heavy smokey taste which was overwhelming. The salad bar was not as fresh as I would have liked. The iceberg lettuce was a bit wilted and the croutons were mostly broken into small pieces. The burger we ordered was good and the sweet potato fries were really good. I would visit again and order a different meal.

Not sure why only three stars. I had the 10 ounce prime rib, mashed potatoes & salad bar. Cooked perfectly also had the golden draft which was good and finished with jack red this was awesome. Great history stop as well with an old register and a collection of guns. Definitely worth it. Meal price wasn't bad $46 for above meal.

When visiting Cody, you really have to stay at the Irma Hotel, the one Buffalo Bill Cody built to establish the town in 1904. The hotel is pretty darn historic, but the rooms have up to date bathrooms, comfy beds and a/c. Our corner King room was on the back, so was pretty quiet and away from the gunfights and live music out front. It was fun to stay in the middle of town where we could walk to restaurants and bars. It is too far to walk to the museum, which covers 7 acres-you will do enough walking there. Prices were about the same as the major hotel chains scattered around town and a whole lot more memorable and included the same amenities. Book ahead in the summer, we only snagged the room thanks to a cancelation.

Yeah, this place attracts the tourists and, sure, the food won't win any awards. I still visit, though, because the dark old west interior is a good backdrop for a menu that's actually not bad -- I like to come here for breakfast -- and tourists don't overwhelm the place unless a bus pulls up. You're in uber-western Cody, Wyoming. If you're jaded by the Irma, what are you doing in town?

Don't be fooled, they will gladly rent the historic rooms while they do a little updating during their current off season.

Stopped in here and had a quick drink. The bartender was great. It seemed like a fun local place with historical flavor.

The food here was dry, bland and cold. The tablecloth had snot on it and also noticed a few hairs. Very disappointing.

Good food, great atmosphere, good service. Definitely somewhere to stop when passing through. The sweet potato fries are super delish.

Had the lunch buffet. Food was ok at best. Service was slow. Worst Bloody Mary ever! Neat place to stop for a beer.

The Old Faithful room used to be the garage so it had it's own little driveway and patio..........it was just perfect and it was a bit more private than the other rooms. Although we had our own little patio we chose to use the bigger and more public patio in the back of the house. It was overrun with flowers and birds.....our stay was just a little noisy with all the birds, but it was amazing. Robin and Bob were both very welcoming and filled with knowledge (that they shared) about the area. The stay included 3 dogs that were very friendly and fun to be around. The breakfasts were great! One morning we had eggs, they were steamed and perfect. We also had sausage patties, homemade gingerbread muffins, fresh fruit, orange juice, and coffee. Everything was very well presented and served. We were offered a couple of muffins for the road. On the morning that we had to leave early to go horseback riding Robin made us breakfast burritos for the road. They were very good. This is probably the best place to stay while in Cody. The price was right, the location was great and it was very clean and comfortable.

We actually stayed up late talking to the owner about life. It was one of those nights that you'll remember forever. :) The rooms are extremely clean, the house is SO quaint. The garden is spectacular. And, maybe the best part? They have 3 amazing dogs who were my besties for the weekend: Sophie, Ginger and Coco. I was in LOVE with them. Honestly? If you're going to Yellowstone, why would you stay at a hotel? The Robin;s Nest is the same rate or cheaper, and you get an incredible breakfast in the morning. Speaking of breakfast.... I'm still trying to figure out what was in those pancakes because I was in pancake heaven. We will definitely be back here!
