Initial review: 01/03/26 Was greeted by Max. The waiting area was very beautiful. Judith took me to the chair. Judith did a great job with listening to what I wanted. She gave me the prettiest haircut ever. She was very delicate and detailed. She speaks Spanish, too! There was another customer getting a hair service. And you could tell she was close to the stylist and owner. I love to see that they have a good relationship with customers. A green flag in my book! Updated review: 05/05/26 I learned that Judith is no longer at Irma's Hair Salon. I tried another salon in Anaheim, but they completely messed up my bangs. I called Irma's Hair Salon to ask if they would still take a walk-in, as they were about to close. I explained my situation and the person on the phone said to come in. Sara greeted me as soon as I came in. I am embarrassed to say that I was ugly sobbing as I explained what I had asked for but that the other salon completely messed my bangs up. Sara and the owner were very sweet and tried to reassure me that Sara would do her best to fix it. Sara got to work and the difference in service was like night and day. Sara was very precise with her sectioning as she analyzed and cut my hair. She gave me very pretty bangs. I truly do not know how she managed to do that despite what she was working with. Getting an appointment was easy . They are very responsive and they try to accommodate you right away . I was there for highlights and a hair cut . Irma did a great job with my cut . The highlights were subtle but they complimented my skin tone . I will definitely try to go lighter next time but I wanted the least amount of damage (no bleach) for now . I found Irma 4yrs ago on yelp of all places. I first went to Irma with long blonde hair. Soon after I got the crazy urge to go red. And sure enough, she got me to the red I wanted. She's always delivered what I wanted every time I got the urge to do drastic changes. From long blonde hair, to red long hair, to the big chop then made our way back to blonde. No complaints. Came today for a haircut and clearly told the lady exactly how I wanted the hair cut and she didn't even cut it the way I wanted too to top it off she missed ALOT of hair I CLEARLY told her about and now I have to come back and get re done by her very horrible job go back and she has the audacity to be like you're daughter told you about the missing hairs and bad job and I was like. yess never coming how do you question me. I have natural wavy hair, Anna at Irma's is a magician at cutting such hair. I have had 3 cuts from her, all bobs, all flattering. Best of all, the cut is still flattering as it grows out. She asked me a few questions regarding length and style beforehand and she did an amazing job! The salon itself was small and clean. They just moved there from a location on Chapman. First off, i just want to say that Irma and her husband Manny made me feel so welcomed into the salon. They are the most kindest people I have ever met and made sure I was doing okay during my whole appointment. The other employees there are all very nice too! Next, the salon inside is gorgeous! It is very glam and relaxing. They just expanded the salon, so soon they will be offering nails and eyelash extensions. Finally, I want to mention how beautiful my hair turned out! Took me awhile to find this place bc there are a LOT of hair salons in this hub. Just a tip: PARK BEHIND THE BASEBALL BAR AND YOULL FIND IT. I went in with a picture of what I wanted after booking an appt at 1240am the night before !! Wild, customer service! But of miscommunication bc I don't speak Spanish and the staff predominantly speaks Spanish. I'm not super extroverted so I wasn't exactly bothered by this. However my hair was dyed a bright red instead of the auburn color I asked for and I almost died (dyed ha HA). But they fixed it QUICKLY and the owner came in and offered to go get me something to hold me over until I was out of there. This place is GREAT. You'd never know from the outside but it is a hidden gem in orange. Prices are great, parking easy, customer service is ace and my hair turned out perfect. read more

Racism comes in all forms, doesn't it. I'm white, so what? There was only one person ahead of me who she was working on when I came in. My Spanish isn't very good, but I try. She heard me speaking with the owner who was very nice, and said come on in; that there was no wait, my poor Espanol wasn't a problem, and I could be taken right away. Unfortunately, the owner left, and I was at the mercy of the person cutting hair.....but she wasn't cutting. She just kept on talking, combing person's hair, showing stuff on her phone, and talking, and combing the same person's hair, in the same place over, and over, and over. I can only imagine what they were talking about, but I could see them looking at me in the mirror, and laughing. So, I suppose they were saying "I wonder how long whitey will wait?" After 40 minutes, they got their wish. I hope that wasn't Irma. read more

Went in for a trim and asked for long layers and this is what I got! Not what I asked for all I have is choppiness and uneven all around I can't even style it and it is too short to even try and even it out! I told the lady I wanted to cut Alittle bit and she went crazy when I told her it was too short she said it was okay and long! The staff were very kind to me, and I know that they didn't mean any harm. THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT THE STAFF! First of all, not all of my hair was bleached. There were some spots left a brownish color, while the rest of my hair was blonde. I called them about this, and they said to wait it out with purple shampoo, but it has been a week and it is still very much brown. The first few days, I had a little bit of discomfort on my scalp, but I figured that it was because it was my first time bleaching my hair. However, three or four days after the bleach, I noticed that one specific spot on my scalp had started bleeding. I searched it up, and it said that it's supposed to go away in a couple days if you stop shampooing and start using hair oils. But here I am a week later, with my scalp still bleeding. At least my hair isn't falling out. They left the bleach in for an hour and a half, and for the last half an hour, they left it in some heat tool. I think this is why part of my scalp is bleeding. I do not recommend coming here to get your hair bleached! Save your money, and get it done elsewhere for a higher price! Again, I'm sure that the staff meant no harm, as they were all super nice, but man this sucks. read more

This review is long overdue! I got my hair done with Irma a few months ago. Irma is by far the best hairstylist I've ever met. I felt so at home at her salon the entire time I was there. Both Irma & her husband were very accommodating and made sure all the guests were comfortable throughout their appointment. They are the cutest couple! Regarding my hair, Irma really took her time and had so much patience with it (which means a lot because I have a TON of hair lol). I absolutely LOVED the outcome!! I did not have a great experience and my hair cut showed I don't know the name of the lady (it wasn't Irma ) but from the beginning I had a weird feeling and shiuld of trusted my gut. She parted my hair down the middle before my haircut and I stopped her and said that's not where my part is, in fear of my haircut being crooked. She told me it's fIne and she always cuts this way. She didn't really ask me what I wanted so I had to tell her just a trim and I have layers. Anyways my hair cut is BAD. There's a chunk out of the side and jts very uneven. Will not go back read more
