This is a very fun atmosphere for watching games. It kind of feels like a club inside, especially when you're sitting in the back. They have a great viewing area. Service is fast and friendly, and the food is pretty good too. My one complaint is that it is extremely loud! My ears actually hurt after watching one of the Knicks games. I wish they would turn the volume down for the music and the broadcast. My friends who were there had to wear earplugs, which I would have used if I had them. Really disappointing experience. The place was nearly empty, yet the bartender was on her phone the entire time. We arrived and waited 15 minutes without being acknowledged, then had to go flag someone down in the back just to place an order. It didn't improve, she kept walking away from the bar to chat with other employees and never checked back. When another friend arrived about 30 minutes later, same exact issue: no service, no attention. We eneded up just having one drink and going else where for food. In NYC, especially around Times Square, there are way too many good spots to waste time here. Solid sports bar with pretty decent prices, not far from Times Square. I've been here on the weekends after midnight and it was very fun. They stay open pretty late. Most recently I went after work during the week with some coworkers who were visiting from out of town. Their happy hour isn't all that great. I think it just applies to well drinks and some wines. Drinks weren't too expensive less than $20 a piece. They have hookah starting at 7:30 PM. The music was fun. They ID you at the door so I don't think this is a spot for kids. Food was kind of a mixed bag... My two coworkers got a couple of burgers which they really liked, but I found my chicken quesadilla to be extremely dry. Service was a little slow but friendly. Iron Bar lounge is a staple in the Times Square radius. They have many food options and craft beers to choose from. In the winter this place feels like Satan's cabin! It was so hot in there I had to undress coming in from 30 degree weather. They have many Television's throughout the establishment. Many of which were showing the Knicks game and also the spectacular lighting to the tree that was the big thing in this New York tradition. Great food options. Flatbread seems to resonate with most of the beer drinkers. Cozy environment with a waiting staff whose aim it is to offer everything that looks appealing on the menu. Very poor management. My boyfriend and I work in the area and have for years, we walked in to watch a game and sat in a spot that seemed to be open as it was not blocked off and we saw another couple sitting in the area. We were then approached by the manager (tall bald man) and told, "you can't sit here." We then responded simply asking why, he told us because the area was reserved for a game happening 2 1/2 hours later than the time we were sitting there. We mentioned we had seen another couple sitting in the area, and he then began to speak to us with aggressive and condescending statements. Once again I scored some tickets to a play and as per usual, bestie and I tried a new spot for our pre-theatre nourishment. It was a Friday evening the first week in March, and time square was busy as always. It took us a little longer to find parking, so once we grabbed a spot we, picked a restaurant close to Booth Theatre. Iron Bar was on the corner and had tables available for immediate seating. It's a bar that offers bar food. Service was quick and staff was pleasant with the exception of one or two, who clearly did not want to be there. We order a couple cocktails that were ok. For food I opted for the Blacken Grilled Chicken sandwhich and bestie ordered the Grilled Chicken Pizza. Both were decent. My fries were good, you know a bar food staple, but my chicken breast was really tender and not dry. Bestie's pizza was also tasty, the pesto sauce was a nice touch. I contated the ADA about this and they are following up, but I wanted to also make as many people aware that this place is discrimatory against the disabled. Because we had a service dog, Julius wouldnt allow us to enter. He asked for the papers and condition which are both illegal to do. We went to see "The Life of Pi" at the Schoenfeld, and decided that we'd like to have a drink. The Iron Bar was right on the corner. We peeked inside, and walked in. Love this place! It's large, dimly lit, has a ton of bar seating, and drag shows, although we didn't get to see one. Perfect theater district place. We sat at the bar and were served by a smiling, friendly, cheerful woman. We had a round of drinks and fries. The fries...OMG. PERFECT!!! So delicious, we had another round of drinks and ANOTHER order of fries. We couldn't help ourselves, they were THAT GOOD. As a connoisseur of French fries who is often crushed and disappointed by poorly cooked and tasteless fries, I have to say these were well worth the calories and carbs. We loved this place and will definitely make it our post-theater go-to. If the fries are that good, I would expect the rest of their food to be equally yummy. I stopped in midday on 4/8/26 before seeing Moulin Rouge. The "bouncer" at the door greeted me and another person immediately greeted me and took me to sit down. The server "Alex G on the receipt", was very nice and efficient. I ordered the Great Gatsby (cocktail) and the chicken sandwich. I was also served water w/a straw and the top of the straw was covered. The cocktail was great. The chicken sandwich was not good. The chicken was thin and tasteless. I took one chicken piece and placed it in the other side of the sandwich so that the sandwich would have some girth. I didn't eat the entire half because the chicken was just that tasteless. The sandwich bread was soft and fresh. The French fries were some of the best I've ever had; they were served hot and they were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fries were firm and not limp. The bathroom was a vibe all of its own. It was clean but so dim that you couldn't see anything. That's not the right lighting for a woman's bathroom. Overall I'll give this place a 3 for Alex, the Great Gatsby, the fried and the cleanliness of the restroom. I won't return though because I need good food when I eat out. read more

Very casual and chill area. Enjoyed sitting around and chatting. We had a great waitress too - lightened the mood and joked that she'd return our card after she went grocery shopping the next day (one card is held per table to ensure you pay basically). Drinks were pretty strong. Kitchen closes at 12:45 for last food orders. Luckily we made it just in time and our waitress was fantastic, told us immediately, got our order through, and delivered wings fast. Wings tasted great but I can't tell you if it was because we were tipsy or if they were actually supreme. There was one strange thing pertaining to the bathrooms. An employee(?) was standing by and just watched you do your business. There was an assortment of candy laid out by the sinks with a tip/payment jar and I guess he was watching over that.
