One of my favorite hookah bars anytime I'm in the city. Especially they're happy hour deals. You can't really beat. They don't serve food, which is OK. You can bring your own. Service is normally pretty good. They have multiple TVs so you can watch the game and Wi-Fi if you wanna bring your laptop to work, which I do sometimes. Shisha Me! Now me, I'm a Shisha lover!! I prefer to patronize Shisha lounges with authentic touches over restaurants / establishments that just offer hookah. Kazuza definitely gives authenticity BUT my God it is HOT in there! Enjoying the shisha, cute booth setting, drinks and food was impossible. I couldn't get past the temperature. The shisha was good after having it adjusted 3 different times. We went with the Sex on The Beach flavor which comes with a pineapple head. Service was ok... they could've been more attentive but all in all it wasn't a horrible experience. If the circulation issue is fixed I would come back. read more

Well, racists work there. And in this day and age, everyone is throwing that word around a lot but...The bill was higher than expected, so I asked questions and expressed my concerns to the waitress. Didn't yell, didn't act out of character, at all. It was explained, I gave in and we paid. On OUR WAY OUT the waitress yells, "next time go to the Bronx". (spoiler: Im black) So what does that mean? I've never been, im fairly new to New York, my girlfriend lives on Avenue A by the restaurant. I'm writing this review from the 38th floor of my high rise condo overlooking Manhattan. I'm confused? Why did the Bronx need to be included and why am I being sent there by a waitress? Oh cuz black people should hang out in the Bronx? And even though Im paid well in my career and don't just swipe my card just because the bill says so, and clarify the bill first, now that subjects me to a section of New York that fits my perceived socioeconomic status and race? I would never say this on a normal day because Im not an a**hole to normal people, but getting financial advice from a waitress is laughable. When we entered this beautiful place on a rainy Saturday afternoon, it was completely empty. We picked a comfy, cushioned lounge area ordered hookah, drinks and food and got our own party started. Kazuza offers a true hookah lounge experience-not just wings and a flimsy smoker while sitting at a bar. We started with a round of cocktails. My classic Margarita was a tasty little buzz. A friend ordered a very pretty drink called a "Pornstar." It comes with the cutest shot of bubbly on the side. I ordered one too. Very nice drink. Then, they bought out the hookah. It was big! We tried a type called Sex On The Beach. The smoke flavors were smooth and sweet. Next, we ordered crispy chicken wings and fries. Sooo good. The music was a little outside of our liking at first and we asked the host to change it. Immediately, he hit us with a playlist so dope that we had to put our Shazam's to work. We ordered more drinks and a main course of mixed, grilled meats served over burning hot coals. We all loved it. Kazuza has attendants that periodically come to replace your coals with fresh ones. I was really grateful for that. I've been to places that actually charge for fresh coals. My night there was such a vibe. From the gorgeous lamps and decorations to the food, I felt like I had been transported to Morocco. At the end of our time there, a lovely server bought us a round of free shots with our bill. We sat in there for hours and none of us were ready to leave. Kazuza was a hit from start to finish. I MUST go back! read more

My friends and I had the pink lemonade hookah service, and a few drinks which was really fun. The inside has great vibes, and the music was fun. However, when I asked for water I was brought a water bottle that was charged $3. I feel that unless I specified bottle water, regular water should be given. Annoying but not a huge deal. The problem was with the bill which was deceptive - it did not indicate that 20% gratuity was already applied, so my group tipped on top of that. When we realized, the manager was happy to do a reversal, but the waitress was visibly annoyed. Just something to be aware of. read more

The lighting and decor is meant to give you a feeling of not being in Alphabet City, & instead, you are abroad elsewhere. They've done a nice job of creating atmosphere. We had a party of about 15 of us, and the staff accommodated us with a nice space in the back. The furniture can use some upholstery & TLC, but that's only if you pay attention to that kind of thing. Wall Mounted speakers for sound & wall mounted (white though) rotating fans for ventilation. Friendly, accommodating service on a Sunday for a birthday. They switched up music on our request, and brought out sparklers with our birthday bottles. Can't comment on food since I'm not eating, so ...I won't lol. Place can use some sprucing up. Good place for hookah and drinks! After a night of bar hopping with friends, popped in for drinks and hookah because my friend really wanted to. Crowd was chill and service was awesome. We ordered two diff flavours of hookah and 3 rounds of drinks.. in the midst of all of this, there was even a belly dancer who danced down the lounge. Candles were brought out and balancing acts were performed but kind of wish there was more than that. I asked her for water and I saw that the hose was in the water she was giving us because she wasn't paying attention and when I brought it to her attention she was so upset and practically threw the bottled water that we request. Idk what she went through that day but I came here very happy and I was really annoyed and uncomfortable while sitting there. Then we watched her as she went to another worker and spoke about us because the lady looked back. I do not like this kind of service and it's very distasteful. It's very disappointing. We split one of the mixed hookahs ($35) which lasted us about 2 hours. Hookah was good and they changed the coals pretty frequently. We ordered a few of their shots and mixed drinks. Their drink options on the menu were so sweet, we didn't like them. We also ordered some hummus and a gyro wrap. The hummus was good but the wrap was subpar. My friend and I went to dinner, and wanted a drink and hookah after. We were in Chinatown and walked over in a few minutes. Kazuza has outdoor seating. Of course, masks are required and they do temperature checks. The area had loads of places, offering outdoor seating. Being that it was a Saturday night, they do require a drink and food purchase. You can't just go for hookah. Of course, we were annoyed lol we had just eaten dinner. We ordered gummibear flavored hookah... our drinks were ok. We ordered a watermelon frose to start, but it has way too much ice and very sour. Second round, I did a blue electric margarita. We opted for ice cream for our food, lol. We were able to use the bathroom. The place is gorgeous inside. And the bathrooms were clean. 18% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. Most places do it with a party of four or more. The hookah was pretty good, and they offer free refills. One thing I didn't like, was they didn't sanitize after each party leaves. We was walking around looking for something to do. Originally we walked pass this place but turned around to check it out because they had a happy hour menu. We are not Hookah smokers but because we stopped in for drinks why not try the hookah. We needed instructions and the waitress gladly should us what to do and suggested a popular flavor for us. The hookah lasted a very long time and the guy came around to change the coals to keep it hot. The place have very comfortable sectional couches and the lights are very dim. I had the sangria from the happy hour menu and I must say its the best sangria that I had in Manhattan. The sangria was a nice blend that gave it a great kick. We also ordered the chicken fingers and it was okay - I have no complaints. I don't think this place is famous for their food - its a hookah lounge.
