They are not taking SARS-COV-2 seriously. The woman who took my take out order wore a loose fitting mask that did not cover her nose and she would pull down the mask to talk to customers as well as her fellow coworkers; and, in between taking orders, as she helped prepare food, the mask would often fall to her chin as she talked with her colleagues. This sent my yellow caution lights blinking. Then, I noticed a man who was prepping food wasn't wearing a mask. I peered around the corner into the narrow, tightly-packed kitchen and saw that NONE of the kitchen staff (about 3-4 people) were wearing masks! Red lights go blaring. When my order was ready, I collected it, left, and promptly threw it out. This pandemic is far from over. Iron Cafe is not helping. I won't be going back, and I will more thoroughly check before I offer my patronage to businesses. read more

I loved this place!! So cute and rustic, just cozy overall went November right after snowfall so the view in the area was perfect . And since it was freezing we order some cappuccinos and a hot soup . That soup and toast were delicious! Just what we needed! My hubby had the French toast , he really enjoyed it. The service was great , out waitress was so nice and friendly. The coffee they used was Starbucks so I was pleased definitely coming back to this little place next time I'm in town . read more

Such a quaint little place. Rustic decor. Outside seating was exceptional. The staff was super friendly. Cash only. Excellent food. I had the quiche, macaroni salad and fresh fruit. My daughter had a sandwich and she asked that certain ingredients be added and some taken away and they did this with no hassle at all. The portion sizes are exactly what they should be. We left feeling satisfied. I highly recommend the Iron Chef. Awesome place. read more

I've eaten here four times since moving to this area a few weeks ago. Service is always good and the food is consistent. They do have a large sushi menu. I'm not a big fan but my friends love it and stated the the fish is of good quality and always fresh. I've tried several noodle dishes and they were quite good and authentic. read more

Four stars for the super friendly staff and the great hours. They are open early for breakfast and that is hard to find in this area! Plus, the inside has a cute design and although to dine in means to see the door fly open many times with locals grabbing coffee and treats to go, it really is worth it for a quick and affordable bite. The food is good fresh sushi. The drinks are on the smaller side but tastey. The service for the most part is good. The 2nd time I went both my date and I were very hungry and it took a while to be greeted. The appetizers are good. The hibachi was pretty good tasted very salty though. This place is great. A little small, but everyone needs to start somewhere, and the personality of the space outweighs the sometimes cramped quarters. Food is awesome and affordable. If I had to pick one word to describe this place, it would be authentic. There's nothing pretentious about the food, coffee, staff, or patrons. It's just real...and real good! So there I was in the Goshen/Middletown area looking for a good place to go for breakfast, and every place I looked at that claimed to serve breakfast didn't open until 9, 10, or 11 am. Maybe it's just the Long Islander/city frequenter in me, used to places that open at the crack of dawn, but I don't understand how a place can claim to serve breakfast and open that late into the work day. Enter Iron Cafe, a place I skeptically went to believing that it may be so well rated because it was one of the few options to go to so early. Pleasingly, that was not the case. Boasting a cozy interior with that feeling of home, the food options were broad and the staff nothing short of awesome. All the employees were attentive and kind, and I'll be damned if all the customers in the place weren't equally as delightful. I ordered the Ray-O, an omelette stuffed with prosciutto de parma, ham, bacon, sausage, mozzarella and topped with avocado, served with your choice of bread buttered with just the right amount of salted butter. Plus, they serve Starbucks to boot! I'd highly recommend the Ray-O, but equally as important I'd highly recommend the actual establishment. And if you go there during the spring or summer (or even in the fall and winter if you can tolerate lower temperatures), take advantage of the outdoor seating. read more

This place was just amazing. We went here on a Friday late morning and were very pleased with everything. I had the caesar wrap with Frank's hot sauce on it. It was one of the best wraps I've had. I got the macaroni salad on the side and it was great as well. Ordered a white chocolate to go and it was good. My wife ordered a wrap but asked for it to be wrapped in lettuce and they catered to it. That's good service right there! The place was small and cozy. My son and I stopped by today for the first time to have lunch at this tiny little cafe. It was inside a beautiful historical building if you are a history buss like me. Inside was original plank flooring and lots of antiques. There was no seating inside only take out or seating outside on a small open patio or tented patio. Lunch was delicious and reasonable.
