This Iron Skillet is clean, bright and probably offers a better level of truck stop dining. Modern and spacious, well lit dining area serves as a beacon for hungry travellers near and far. The Monday night dinner buffet is $10.99. It's a full buffet offering a great selection of hot and cold entrees. Two soup varieties! What really impressed me was the beautiful, fresh salad bar with lots of vegetables, spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, olives, cucumbers and peppers, just what most Americans need to consume daily. Only advice I'd offer, easy on the salt. The fish was a tad too salty. Recommended.

#09-2021 the iron skillet at Remington Indiana located inside the Petro stopping center still one of the better ones that have gotten reopened. like many of the TA Petro locations though the salad bar and buffet has been removed completely does not appear to be either going to put a new one in or bring it back again. so those who look at the pictures of the facility and notice the buffet still there it's gone just a big empty gap filled up with some condiment sanitizing. couple of tables. the service is still fairly good and prompt for the most part although they do have limited seating sometimes you have to wait during some peak hours depending on how many travelers are coming through or the early morning coffee drinking locals. over the last few months I've had numerous meals here I like to stop here I've had the fish dinner which is been really good with the baked potato, they do have corned beef hash if you want corned beef hash and eggs it's not on the menu but you just have to ask and if they have it they will make it. this particular morning I came in decided to have a steer Burger steak and eggs which is basically a hamburger steak at many places. I had the eggs over medium hamburger steak well done hash browns sourdough toast nice to find that and I have the seedless blackberry jam that I like from Smuckers. ™ the food was brought out promptly it was very good and just keep up the good work at this one.

Reasonable price not to expensive very tasty , our server is very nice and friendly to us , and i ordered a bison burger it was great ! The meat is awsome and i tried the potato and bacon soup which is great ! Especially in winter season , and generous portions of apple cider and hot chocolate ! And i got salad from the salad bar with dressing but the salad is pretty standart

Clean place nice buffet, fast service moderate pricing. You will not leave this place hungry, if you do it's your fault. When on the road eat were the truck drivers eat, is a rule of thought. And that place is The Iron Skillet! Enjoy All.

The service is consistently great, and the food never disappoints. I started with the fried green tomatoes, which are some of the best you'll find in the Indianapolis area--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. The biscuits and gravy are a must-order. The biscuits taste freshly made, and you can really tell the restaurant prioritizes high-quality, farm-to-table ingredients. It's easily my go-to recommendation every time I visit. The ambiance is another highlight--intimate, cute, and welcoming. Even when it's busy, it never feels too loud or overwhelming. It's perfect for a casual date, catching up with friends, or even enjoying a solo meal with your laptop. Grindstone is truly a versatile spot that always delivers.

We still come from time to time because the service is always great and the vibe inside is so cozy and welcoming. It's a place we really enjoy sitting down at together, especially for a date night when we want something familiar and comfortable. That said, we have noticed the quality has gone down while the prices have gone up quite a bit. It doesn't quite feel like it used to in terms of food, but we still go back now and then to reminisce and enjoy the atmosphere.

On my first visit, I had the tender meal (Medium+ spice) with the fries. The tenders were seasoned well, spicy as expected, and were larger than what I remember. I was full after eating two of them. The fries were fresh and hot and were also seasoned well - pair them with ranch and *chef's kiss*. The next day, I had the same meal to-go, but had greens instead of fries. Hands down....the best greens I've had in Indianapolis. These are the greens you want at Thanksgiving! The spice level was great, it had flavor, and I finished my cup wanting more of it! A wonderful surprise for sure. Customer Service: Based on the fraternity event, customer service was pushed to the limit. The staff remained polite and stayed busy. They did their best to find customers that had ordered food while navigating the crowd. Very professional and flexible. They are appreciated for their multitasking and hard work! Ambiance: The ambiance from the graffiti wall to the party light vibes on the inside is top tier. Outside of being s great restaurant, this was a welcoming party place with the food and drinks to match. They have a patio area for smoking and the party filled up the inside and easily spread outside to the patio. This place was perfect for the fraternity event and I can guarantee the vibes would be right for a sports watching night with the fellas, or just wanting a good lunch. And shoutout to the DJ that kept the music going all night. Highly recommend!!

Seating is also tight but there is room in the back and tables outside. Order at the counter and wait for your number to be called for your meal. You can also see the pit with the meat cooking. There are plenty of options though there is no true 2 meat plate. That's ok because I made it work. I went with the spare ribs meal and then took the Chuck Norris home to my wife. The ribs were tasty but they gave my jaw a workout, which I do not like. The Chuck Norris though was an impressive sandwich. It came on Texas Toast with pulled pork, brisket, fried egg, bacon, onion, and Pimento cheese. The brisket or pulled pork would be what I would go to next time. For my sides, I had beans, potato salad, and Mac and cheese. All were phenomenal but potato salad was the best! It was a mustard base whipped style. The beans were the pinto beans/ranch style with tomatoes and a vinegar taste. The mac and cheese was creamy with goldfish on top. There are 4 sauces and all were phenomenal. I wish I could take all of them home!. You have the tomato bases in a mild, zesty flavor and a spicy, habanero flavor. There is also Carolina Mustard and Bama white. I think I loved the mild the most. There is fresh-brewed sweet tea which is hard to come by in Indiana but this Bama Boy would love it to be more sweeter. It was a step above water. The Chuck Norris, sauces, and sides make Rusty Silo easily a 4-star. If the spare ribs were easier to chew, a 5-star from this guy would have been given.
