The Monday night dinner buffet is $10.99. It's a full buffet offering a great selection of hot and cold entrees. Two soup varieties! What really impressed me was the beautiful, fresh salad bar with lots of vegetables, spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, olives, cucumbers and peppers, just what most Americans need to consume daily. I order a fish "handheld" with fries, tartar sauce on the side. Hubby ordered hamburger steak, no gravy. My handheld was a large piece of fish, looked like a piece of catfish but was just white fish, NO bread or bun and no tartar sauce. Hubby's food had gravy all over it. I told the waitress, who was new, I wanted the fish sandwich but this was more like the meal and if that's the case it was OK but I'm due another side. She had to check with someone and after much discussion with the "cook", she returned to the table with the cook (who I later found out was the manager). He said I got want I ordered but I tried explaining to him that as a "handheld" no one would eat this large piece of fish with their hands. He then said "do I need to explain it to you in English or some other language"!! Again I said this is not a handheld, eat with your fingers, piece of fish. He asked if I wanted bread and I said yes that or a bun, which I told him to just bring me and I'd make the sandwich, which he did, then asked if I needed anything else and I said an apology for the way he spoke to me early. I said all I wanted was a sandwich or if this was the fish "meal" to give me another side and his comment and rudeness towards me was uncalled for. Even my hubby, who would clearly call me out if I was wrong, said I did nothing wrong and the "manager-cook" was clearly rude. My hubby who's a truck driver goes by this location frequently said he'd never eat there again. BTW I explained to the new waitress I wasn't upset with her and she did nothing wrong and that I was just trying to get what I ordered. #09-2021 the iron skillet at Remington Indiana located inside the Petro stopping center still one of the better ones that have gotten reopened. like many of the TA Petro locations though the salad bar and buffet has been removed completely does not appear to be either going to put a new one in or bring it back again. so those who look at the pictures of the facility and notice the buffet still there it's gone just a big empty gap filled up with some condiment sanitizing. couple of tables. the service is still fairly good and prompt for the most part although they do have limited seating sometimes you have to wait during some peak hours depending on how many travelers are coming through or the early morning coffee drinking locals. over the last few months I've had numerous meals here I like to stop here I've had the fish dinner which is been really good with the baked potato, they do have corned beef hash if you want corned beef hash and eggs it's not on the menu but you just have to ask and if they have it they will make it. this particular morning I came in decided to have a steer Burger steak and eggs which is basically a hamburger steak at many places. I had the eggs over medium hamburger steak well done hash browns sourdough toast nice to find that and I have the seedless blackberry jam that I like from Smuckers. ™ the food was brought out promptly it was very good and just keep up the good work at this one. read more

We ordered from the menu. The fried shrimp is very good. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger and really liked it. The chicken Parmesan is a large portion and just ok. We did not get the buffet because it looked like it had been sitting there for hours. It did not look appetizing at all. But overall everything ok. Got the job done and we left full! Food Poisoning Alert!!! Ate here on New Year's Eve. Had the grilled salmon, cottage cheese and a trip to the salad bar. Got there around 8:30, finished eating and home by 9:30. By 11:00 I was plagued with viscous bouts of projectile vomiting and watery diarrhea. By 1:00, I was heaving, blood was coming out of both ends, and my hands and feet were "locking up" and cramping to the point of immobility. At this point I was rushed to the ER where it took 7 hours of medication, tests, and fluids to get me at least somewhat alive and functioning again. It is currently 48 hours later and I have yet to find the ability to stomach a single piece of food or anything besides sips of water. I still make frequent trips to the bathroom and have little to no energy to get off the couch. Once I am in full health again, the health department will be contacted and I will do every thing in my power to shut this illness breeding ground down!! I wouldn't wish this experience even on my worst enemy. Please, Stay away from here!!! McDonald's across the road is a much safer option!! read more

I had eaten at the Iron Skillet in Fargo a couple of times and the food and experience were good. At this location not good. The waitress was friendly but the food was horrible. I ordered the Chicken Fried steak. It took a fair amount of time to come out even though the place was not busy. My steak was cooked to a crisp. In fairness the waitress offered to get me another one but I declined as my wife had her food so either she could eat alone and then I do the same or I could suffer through it. I ask for extra heavy so I could swallow it. The waitress brought it and said she felt bad. I would have thought a discount or at least a dessert would have been in order. Nothing was offered. This experience has totally soured me on all Iron Skillets. read more
