Fairly certain I contracted norovirus here during my June 1st visit. We were seated and placed our orders. Waiter brought out our food and napkins. One napkin was obviously used since it was grimy and had a wad of gum inside it. Pretty damn disgusting and we should have walked out right then but it was late and we were hungry. My Chicken Thai Basil tasted strange. I caulked it up to they used way too much fish/oyster sauce. I didn't even eat half the dish. Got home that eve and I was bloated. Woke the next day with a sinking feeling in my stomach and just nauseated. That eve I was full on sick to my stomach. The following day I could not even get out of bed. Today is day 3 and I felt fairly better in the morning but am now vomiting once again this afternoon. My wife is now sick as well since it is highly contagious. Word to the wise. Beware. read more

The reason for not giving 5-stars was the tables were a little small and there is no drink menu explaining their Sakes and the waiter could not explain the vast selection either. Best restaurant this little town has to offer! We were in the area visiting and decided to give this local Asian restaurant a try. The food was surprisingly authentic. We had the Steak Pho, Fried Rice, Pad Thai and Basil Chicken. All were very flavorful and high quality. The service is top notch as all the staff were very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were very attentive. As an added plus, they also had many gluten free options on the menu! The steak tastes like it was boiled. None of the temperatures were right. Teriyaki chicken was cooked and the sauce obviously added after. Got into Bryson City for a fly fishing trip and had a craving from Chinese! So glad we chose to come here and eat. The food was so good and full of flavor. I appreciated that there was more chicken than breading in my dish and that it wasn't over fried like you find sometimes with Chinese food. My General Tso's was juicy and the sauce was perfectly spiced! The other people in my group loved their dishes as well. We had an amazing server that was super nice and attentive. Can I have this every night? I love this restaurant and their staff. We have tried many different dishes (all to go orders due to pandemic) and they have each been yummy. The servings are large and usually are enough for a second meal as a lunch of leftovers. The owner Jovi is very kind and sweet. The restaurant is clean and has ample parking. Came here based on the Yelp review. I had the Manila pancit and my wife had spicy thai basil shrimp. We also ordered Rangoon and miso soup. I've seen the other reviews. Look, if you're coming here expecting the flavors you get at Panda Express, you will be disappointed. This is what Asian food should taste like. The pancit noodles are wrong and there weren't enough vegetables, but plenty of shrimp. The thai shrimp was delicious. Miso soup was great and the Rangoon had a ton of flavor to it. I guess if the pancit noodles and vegetable quantities were better, I would have given 5 stars. Very clean atmosphere. Service was outstanding. Give it a try read more

I was so excited about this place. Its new since the last time we were in Bryson City in October. We ordered the wings as an appetizer and spicy Thai basil chicken. The entree came out before our appetizer. Our waitress told us that our appetizer would come out late a few minutes after we placed our order. I guess because they were frying the wings fresh compared to having the chicken entree prepared before hand. We were almost done with our entree by the time the wings came out. The entree was not spicy at all and had 2-3 torn basil leaves on the top. That to me doesn't make it a spicy Thai basil chicken dish! I was pretty disappointed needless to say. It was also luke warm. The wings were definitely freshly made and were ok. Nothing very special, the sauce was a bit too sweet. Our waitress also disappeared on us multiple times and we were helped by another waitress. Such a bummer! We stopped by Iron Wok to order takeout. The staff was super kind and friendly, and our food was ready to go quickly... but it was terrible. The green curry sauce was watery and separating, and missing the rich coconut milk flavor that is a staple of this dish. The beef in the Beef Pad Thai was grey and a little slimy, and the pad Thai noodles were overdone (completely stuck together) and strangely pink. Finally, instead of the fried rice we ordered we received a side of plain lo mein noodles. We ended up having to toss most of our order out. If you're looking for takeout in Bryson City, you might want to keep looking. read more

I wanted to like this, I hoped I'd like it but it was flavorless. My husband got the basil chicken and if not for the heat their wouldn't be any flavor. I had the moo goo guy pan and the "sauce" was liquid I don't know but no flavor. Crab rangoons were so sweet and the cream cheese filling thinned out so more like a sauce in the center. Fresh rolls or what mst call spring rolls too much rice noodles and the accompanying sauce was like thickened corn starch with some hoisin mixed in but not enough to taste good. All were edible but all were disappointing. If the Rangoon had crab in it, it had no texture, no crab pieces, it was sauce like. The dipping sauce was one note sweet. The Pad Thai was tasteless with boiled chicken. The sauce served on the side did not help with the presentation at all. The Shrimp Egg Fu Yung was the least disappointing but a far cry from what we're used to. The staff was pleasant as they made me call from the sidewalk to place my order rather than just taking my order while handing out other orders. Take a pass on all three of these.
