We came into town with a group of 40+ and made a last second reservation at Ironworks. Everyone was so accommodating and they gave us a beautiful room with lots of attention from the servers. They were all so kind and on top of things! I've done a lot of group meals and was very pleased to see how smoothly and quickly they were able to serve us. They even kept our drinks constantly refilled which is often not the case when in a large group. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the appetizers. Service was inattentive. Bartenders chatting off to the side indefinitely while we tried to pay our bill. Recently changed the name to The Lodge which doesn't describe this awesome ironworks bar at all. I know it's under new ownership but this was a huge mistake. So much time and effort was put into the establishment crafting the iron decor . I understand it was formerly a lodge but this is in the past and no longer relevant. Honestly really great experience. We brought the kids. They had fish sticks and burgers and loved them. The group ended up getting fever batter fish, chicken Parmesan pasta, and the bbq burger. Really cute restaurant on Main Street in Marinette. Very clean and friendly staff. Waitress was nice and prompt. I will probably not be back though. Menu had a house salad for 9.99 (see menu). Ordered that with sweet potato fries. Food came and the salad was the most blah salad ever. No cucumbers and basically a pile of iceberg lettuce. That's fine but not a 9.99 salad. We came here while our driving around. It was a really cool restaurant and the food was on point. They weren't really busy but I'm sure it has the ability to get poppin. I asked for a recommendation and they didn't disappoint. I got the hot chicken sandwich and I brought half of if home. I didnt want to stuff myself with the big portion and I didnt want to stop eating it. I was so excited to bring half home for later and couldn't wait to eat. So good! Don't order wings from here on wing night. Ordered take out at 6:50. Was told to pick it up at 7:15. 1) Order wasn't ready until 7:40 2) 1/3 of the wings were the wrong flavor 3) ALL the wings were cold 4) Many of the wings were undercooked. So the frequent question at the end of a meal is "what would you give it?" My initial response on Ironworks was high two or low three. Then the bill came. Hot damn! Bumping them up to a high three or borderline four. While the food is not great, the drinks are dirt cheap. From what I can tell, Ironworks is one of the newest places in town. Our server, LeiLani (who was excellent) said they had been open just under a year. It shows. Driving around town, most of the places look like they have been there since the 50's if not longer. Ironworks feels like it could fit in any typical hipster urban neighborhood. The orders are taken on IPads. The variety of the menu leaves a little bit to be desired. There is not a whole lot there there. Got a Philly Cheese steak with Cajun fries for nine bucks. The Philly was kind of dry, but the fries were legit. Now get this...I got two pints of Bell's Two Hearted for two bucks total. Rail whiskey on the rocks was a buck fifty. We drove through Marinette and wanted burgers. Googled burger joint near me and found this place. Great burgers, great (cold) beer and great atmosphere. Highly recommend. The barstools are awesome and now we need them for our house. I got the black bean burger and my husband got the red hot rivet burger. Both were delicious with a side of Parmesan garlic fries. It ALL came out in timely fashion and even though the couple that came in later. They had their orders right along with the rest of us. And all our orders were beyond delicious!! I want to start this review with why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. The service was very good. Personable, friendly and attentive. A little frantic (I think it's usually slower on weekdays) but pretty much everything you'd want from the staff. The food though... Let's talk about this menu where half the dishes say "...of your choosing" but nowhere on the menu are the things you're choosing between. So that aside I figure, it's cold I'll get the only soup on the menu, French Onion. As I'm given the soup I'm told the potato is a more popular option but it's good. Wait, what? Is that on the menu? "No but we always have it"...alright. The soup was warm but just a pre-stocked broth with onion and a HUGE chunk of cheese and a slice of white bread thrown on top when served. Since I had no options "of my choosing" I got a specialty burger so I knew what was on it. The fries were room temperature, soggy and didn't even have salt. The burger was well cooked but smothered with so much sauce I couldn't taste it, just knew it wasn't chewy or raw. This is a very clean cream-city brick bar off of 41. There was extra table seating right off the bar There were three really nice waitress/bartenders (one was Johnny. They each had good suggestions for not just the menu but local stuff to-do. And the prices can't be beat. I had their Cajun burger and fries. Honestly their Cajun fries were regular fries with Cajun salt. They had decent selection of beers and very affordable prices. Its nice to nice to see a bar not trying to rip you off for once! This place is a cool looking bar, lots of nest steel work! Custom made bars and chairs and what not! I went a few different times while in marinette, first time had a burger which was really good, hangover burger iirc, also had cheese curds which were good as well, second time I had the wings and wasn't impressed at all. One star for the nice waitress/bar tender...she wasn't super attentive because the owner or manager was there at the bar so she was more concerned about talking to them, but she did good, she made some good suggestions with the menu too. One star for the price. Had a good pulled pork sandwich. The Cajun fries were blah...but couldn't tell if it was the seasoning or the fryer needed to be changed. This place is a pretty average bar. It has a new and updated modern decor which looks nice. They have some darts, a few arcade games, and a billiards table. The service was great and the staff was friendly. The food is pretty average but still enjoyable. I was hoping to watch the playoffs but it seems there TVs were all on the same cable so they only showed one game. I didn't mind that cause the TVs were new and had clear picture. I didn't like the fact they had no sound, there was some weird scream music playing instead which took away from watching the game. read more

So, I will start by saying after going to establishment three times and got BAD food and even WORSE service I did not go here for couple years, so when they posted they had new owners and management I thought ( wrong) give them other go, you would think that seeing all the bad reviews, ( they took the review section off Facebook) they would fine tune the issues, sadly no they did not, after 4 times ( rude, rude service and not giving me the food I ordered or making it wrong ) I gave up, sorry Tony, this is not your first rodeo go out in the floor or in the kitchen and fix it, your servers and bartenders are rude and your cook does not know how to cook or read a ticket, every time I was there, there was only 3-6 people I frankly don't understand the rudeness of the staff and the inconsistently of the food if I asked for my burger medium rare, with pink that's what I want not well done and to forget the fries with my perch plate and if I did not ask why my deep fried mushrooms where not in the bag with my fries, and each time get a attitude by the server. I am not alone on this, you will never get the business you deserve if you keep giving service that is terrible or food that is not consistent. The only two food choices I would recommend are the shoe string onion rings and the deep fried mushrooms, but I refuse to go there because your front of the house should be welcoming not scary. read more
