FFF picking up our beloved family dog

Thank you so much FFF! Thanks for the quick response. Thank you for being so compassionate. I Highly recommend this company. Very affordable. You guys made my daughter very happy with the keepsake

My friends hamster had passed away a few months back, I was helping her find a pet cremation as our previous places prices doubled. I called furry friends for her and they were the most affordable. Then, our sweet Guinea pig Mr Pibbs passed away. I knew who to call, they were compassionate and very caring. We got his remains a week later - we also received a ceramic foot print, and a little tube with his fur. We appreciate their handling of our precious cavvy.

    My bunny Finn

On May 10th, 2024, my sweet bunny Finn went to Heaven. Furry Friend made the difficult day easier with their kindness, concern and compassion. From the moment I made the call to schedule an appointment to the gentleman that picked my boy up for cremation the process was flawless. They are extremely professional and show genuine concern for your fur baby with an understanding that they are family. My sweet boy came back to me in a beautiful box with his paw print in clay and a locket of his hair in a jar. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of Finn on his final journey home. God bless you always. God bless all fur babies as they are a gift from God.

My 14 year old boy was suffering from organ failure from a quick and aggressive cancer. And though we tried to save him, it all happened so quick and we unfortunately had to make the call to give him peace. The quickness of everything left me scrambling to find a vet that could come the next day. I knew I wanted my boy to pass on his favorite couch surrounded by family, and luckily this wonderful company had an opening for the following day. Dr. Daniel explained how everything would happen and I could tell he went peacefully. The only discomfort he had was the sedation shot which Dr. Daniel explained would sting just a little bit. I can't express how grateful I am to have had such a beautiful process arranged for my boy The best final gift to him Though it can be pricey, it's worth absolutely every penny to have had such a wonderful end of life experience as this Thank you all

She explained how we could watch as little or as much of the cremation process as we wished. She also explained the "Private Viewing" and what the entire package would cost and entail. The morning Ronni departed our life, we brought her to Only Cremations and they kept her for us until the viewing, which was a couple days later. The day of the viewing, we were already an emotional mess, but Brittany was there right away to show us the presentation of Ronni in the viewing room. She was beautiful and had a blanket laid over the lower half of her body. Ronni looked like she was peacefully sleeping. There was ambient lighting and somber, relaxing music playing, a vase of flowers nearby, a sofa, and of course a box of tissues for our use. We were given up to two hours to spend with Ronni in the private viewing room for us to say our last goodbyes. We felt grateful to see her beautiful face one last time. During this time, Aldair came in and took her clay paw prints and we also had some ink paw prints done. He did a great job capturing the definition of her paw prints. Both Brittany and Aldair made this time more supportable with their patience and compassion and the gentleness they had with our baby girl. When it was time for the cremation, we had to leave the viewing room and go to another room, as our 86 pound Ronni needed a larger cremator chamber. We were able to sit in this room and watch through a window as Aldair placed her into the compartment. We had previously viewed the entire cremation process with another pet of ours and wished to ensure we received only their cremains, with little chance of a mixture or unknown other pet being switched out. Sounds a little paranoid, but we've heard stories, and this way gave us peace of mind knowing we were definitely receiving Ronnie's cremains. After the cremation process, approximately 90 minutes later, Aldair carefully and thoughtfully prepared the cremains for us to be able to take our Ronni home with us in a nice wooden urn provided as part of the package. Brittany presented us with a fabric bag with the urn inside, along with the clay and ink paw prints, a certificate note of sorts, and a packet of flower seeds. We are so thankful for this experience your establishment provided. Some of the "mom and pop" stand alone facilities have been bought out by big chain corporations, and they do not provide this same service as you have given to us. It's almost as if they have something to hide or don't want you to see. You've provided us with the best farewell we could give Ronni and are so appreciative Dr. George Katcherian founded and created this location for us to give a compassionate goodbye to our loving pets.

From the moment we walked in, the team (Brandon especially) stood out. Brandon was incredibly kind, patient, and communicative, which made a huge difference for us as anxious parents. He loves labs too and mocha loves being loved! Toni, Julie, Serena and Marcela were amazing with mocha too and really helped calm some of her stress too Dr Sohn took the time to thoroughly talk with us, gather Mocha's history, and understand everything that was going on. We never felt rushed or brushed off, they made sure we were fully informed and prepared for each step. Most importantly, they helped keep us calm during an overwhelming situation. They didn't try to oversell unnecessary tests, but they also made sure to run a comprehensive set of diagnostics so that no possibilities were overlooked. It felt like they genuinely cared about doing what was best for Mocha, not just checking boxes. Overall, we felt supported, heard, and confident in the care Mocha received. We're very grateful to the team and would definitely recommend them!

The care was exceptional from check-in through discharge, and I appreciated that they offered overnight endoscopy--a service many emergency hospitals do not. Unfortunately, my recent experience was very different. On Saturday, June 27, my senior foster dog swallowed the head of a toothbrush. Before driving 45 minutes to Irvine Valley, I called to confirm that overnight endoscopy was available. I conference-called the rescue owner so we both heard the confirmation. After check-in, my dog was examined, X-rayed, and given medication to induce vomiting, which was unsuccessful. We were then told the foreign body was in his stomach and that endoscopy would be needed. Around midnight, I was shocked to learn that the veterinarian on duty did not perform endoscopy. He informed me the veterinarian who did had gone home at 10:00 p.m. This was the first time anyone told us the service I had specifically called to verify was no longer available. He informed me they were sending us to an ER in Laguna Hills. However, when I asked what was the delay, an employee told me 'oh they can't do it". I started calling around myself and finally located VEG Costa Mesa, where my dog underwent another exam, another set of X-rays, and ultimately had the toothbrush removed by endoscopy around 5:00 a.m. Had I been given accurate information before I arrived--or even immediately after check-in--I would have gone directly to a hospital that could perform the procedure. Instead, my foster dog experienced unnecessary delays, and the rescue incurred duplicate charges for exams and X-rays. I called Irvine Valley to discuss this with the administrator twice after the incident requesting reimbursement for the duplicate services. Both times I was told the manager would return my call. As of July 4, I have not received any response. I still believe Irvine Valley has skilled veterinarians and has provided excellent care in the past. My concern is with the inaccurate information about endoscopy availability, the resulting delay in treatment, and the lack of follow-up afterward. I hope this review encourages better communication so future clients can make informed decisions during already stressful emergencies.

I want to start by saying that the package I ultimately received was very beautiful and I am very happy with the physical products I received from this company. They did well in honoring my best friend and providing me with cherished mementos. The mementos were the main draw for me when I chose Angel Paw/ Loving Pet. My dog Lucky had cancer, and although I was starting to emotionally prepare myself for the end of his life, his death came suddenly. I was alone with him when it happened and I felt panicked and anguished about what would have to come next. I should have stopped and called our vet and asked them to hold his body for me while I figured things out, but instead I immediately started trying to find an aquamation service that had the mementos I knew I would need to grieve and remember Lucky. So I turned to Loving Pet/Angel Paw. Their website looked so clean and modern! I was impressed so I filled out a form and they called me very quickly. A van was dispatched to my home and arrived in 2 hours. The driver who picked up Lucky from me told me the process would take 2 weeks. Loving Pet/ Angel Paw promised cutting edge technology that would keep grieving pet parents in the loop every step of the way of the cremation process. It's proudly proclaimed in their About Us story that the whole point is to keep families away from the nightmare of not knowing. I was stuck in that nightmare of not knowing for a month. If you're stuck waiting, please know you will get your pet, but it will take a month. I was in agony thinking I had chosen wrong, or that I got scammed and I would never get Lucky back ever again. I did get Lucky back and so will you. You unfortunately just need to keep waiting. The app never updated with any of the steps of Lucky's aquamation process. After 2 weeks I started calling and calling and calling. I left messages with my phone number asking for a call back that never came. I had more success with emailing them. I would recommend emailing if calling isn't working. The explanation for the delay was The Weather. Southern California was experiencing torrential unrelenting rain earlier this past spring. Fair enough. 3 Weeks after they picked up Lucky from me, someone responds to my email saying Lucky would be shipped to me. They don't provide me with a tracking number even when I ask. At this point I am having slightly more luck getting them on the phone. A few days after I asked for the tracking number via email, I call and a Lovely man who said his name was Jeff answered. Lucky had not been shipped out yet after all, BUT Jeff does reassure me that Lucky's cremation package was ready to go and would be shipped ASAP. And it was. So shout out to Jeff for that one. I get a text message later that same day with the UPS label. Overall this experience was unpleasant. Complete lack of communication with grieving pet parents. I would not recommend this cremation company to anybody in the future. But if you've already chosen Loving Pet/ Angel Paw, please just wait it out. Your baby will be home soon.

My daughter had prepared us for this day by researching the reviews of a few in-home services so that we would have the right choice at a moments notice. We were at the vet at 9 AM and confirmed the bad news that we had to act quickly and my daughter immediately called her first choice, A Pet's farewell, and we were able to get an appointment at noon that day. Waiting any longer would have turned out a whole different bad way. Dr. Leah came over on time and came into the house and graciously explained how we were going to proceed all the while being very patient and considerate of our situation. Dr. Leah asked us to prepare some snacks Lulu loved so that we can distract her from the needles of concoctions. Lulu ate one of her fave's Cane's chicken (actually got up to eat that), went on her last potty break and then we went back into the house and set up in the living room. Lulu took everything like a champ as she always has, and it was painless and a comfort to know that she was just going to drift away peacefully with all of us at her side and in her visuals as she relaxed. Dr. Leah was very helpful and patient as we cried and hugged Lulu good-bye. Dr. Leah wrapped Lulu up in the carry out sling and my son helped her take Lulu to the car that was decorated with cute pillows, a blanket and flowers for her final trip in a car. Thank you Dr. Leah not that I want to do this ever again, but I will have to, and I will definitely be calling you back to help us the next time. I hope anyone considering an in home service is able to give their pet's a peaceful final goodbye-bye no matter the cost. We had the pleasure of Dr. Susan Chao come out to our home on Friday, March 20. We had a 9 am appointment (the first one of the day) and she arrived a little before. She had called me about 15 minutes prior to let me know that she would be arriving within 15 minutes. When she arrived, my husband and I greeted her and had her walk to our backyard, as this was the place I had wanted for our little girl because she loved being in the backyard to sunbathe. Dr. Chao was wonderful at guiding us through the process, explaining every step of the way and allowing us to take our time to say goodbye to Muffin. She also allowed us to give Muffin treats during the process (Muffin's last meal was a chicken nugget from Burger King and pureed chicken that Dr. Chao brought, which Muffin really did enjoy eating). Dr. Chao also did cut a piece of Muffin's fur for us to keep and placed it in a small plastic box, which she put in a small mesh bag and gave it to us as a keepsake. Muffin passed away on March 20, 9:31 am. Dr. Chao gave us some time to spend with Muffin right after and just walked towards the side of the house so that we could have privacy. Afterwards, she placed Muffin in a basket and then we walked with her towards the front of the home so that she could take Muffin with her to eventually be cremated. About two weeks later, I contacted Hearts and Halos to ask if Muffin's ashes were ready for us to pick up (please note that the company can also mail your pet's ashes to you, but we just preferred to pick it up in person). I had a hard time getting ahold of them via telephone, so I emailed the company and was able to arrange for a pickup time. I was told via email that someone was supposed to contact us that day that I had emailed them about Muffin's ashes though... This past Thursday, my husband and I went to Gardena to pick up Muffin's ashes (please note that Hearts and Halos office is now in transition to moving to Hungtinton Beach). When we arrived, an employee came out and gave us a small gift bag, that held her ashes, seeds to plant in her memory and also a small brochure regarding aftercare and additional resources for the grieving process. I do like the box that her ashes came in and also I love the small wooden heart with her name engraved on it and a small halo right above her name. The total cost for these services is $840 (you can pay via check, cash or credit card). You can also have additional items, such as an urn (which cost $60) or your pet's paw print, that will cost extra. If you do not wish to have your pet's ashes back, the cost would go down to $675, in which your pet will be part of a communal process to preserve their ashes and then will be scattered in the company's memory garden. Just as a price comparison, when we had to put down our other 2 dogs at the vet (both of our other dogs were of an emergent case and so we would not have been able to plan for their euthanasian earlier and so we would not have been able to utilize these home euthanasia services even if we had known about them at the time), at minimum, it would have cost $455 if we had made an appointment and had this service done during the day. However, both times we had to rush our dogs to the vet were during after hours and without an appointment, so the cost was around $560, which also did include their ashes. So, these home pet euthanasia services can cost an additional $100- $300 more but we felt it was worth the cost. We did not have to rush and deal with the stress and anxiety of the car ride from our home to the vet and also sit in the waiting room while they prep our dog and then say goodbye to them in the vet's office (where both of our dogs really hated going to the vet). The ability to allow Muffin to be in the comfort of her own home and to have foods that she enjoyed during the process was worth it for us. I highly recommend home pet euthanasia at home if you can afford it. I like to think that this was the much better choice for Muffin and hope that she was happy with her chicken treats right before she left us, keeping her in good spirits than to be stressed and anxious if we had chosen to bring her to the veterinarian instead. Thank you Hearts and Halos for helping us during this process.
