When it was close to our pet passing away, we found Only Cremations For Pets and spoke to Kayla. She answered all our questions about the process and services they would provide to our beloved dog, Ronni. She explained how we could watch as little or as much of the cremation process as we wished. She also explained the "Private Viewing" and what the entire package would cost and entail. The morning Ronni departed our life, we brought her to Only Cremations and they kept her for us until the viewing, which was a couple days later. The day of the viewing, we were already an emotional mess, but Brittany was there right away to show us the presentation of Ronni in the viewing room. She was beautiful and had a blanket laid over the lower half of her body. Ronni looked like she was peacefully sleeping. There was ambient lighting and somber, relaxing music playing, a vase of flowers nearby, a sofa, and of course a box of tissues for our use. We were given up to two hours to spend with Ronni in the private viewing room for us to say our last goodbyes. We felt grateful to see her beautiful face one last time. During this time, Aldair came in and took her clay paw prints and we also had some ink paw prints done. He did a great job capturing the definition of her paw prints. Both Brittany and Aldair made this time more supportable with their patience and compassion and the gentleness they had with our baby girl. When it was time for the cremation, we had to leave the viewing room and go to another room, as our 86 pound Ronni needed a larger cremator chamber. We were able to sit in this room and watch through a window as Aldair placed her into the compartment. We had previously viewed the entire cremation process with another pet of ours and wished to ensure we received only their cremains, with little chance of a mixture or unknown other pet being switched out. Sounds a little paranoid, but we've heard stories, and this way gave us peace of mind knowing we were definitely receiving Ronnie's cremains. After the cremation process, approximately 90 minutes later, Aldair carefully and thoughtfully prepared the cremains for us to be able to take our Ronni home with us in a nice wooden urn provided as part of the package. Brittany presented us with a fabric bag with the urn inside, along with the clay and ink paw prints, a certificate note of sorts, and a packet of flower seeds. We are so thankful for this experience your establishment provided. Some of the "mom and pop" stand alone facilities have been bought out by big chain corporations, and they do not provide this same service as you have given to us. It's almost as if they have something to hide or don't want you to see. You've provided us with the best farewell we could give Ronni and are so appreciative Dr. George Katcherian founded and created this location for us to give a compassionate goodbye to our loving pets. read more

A daycare right by a cremation place is just wrong. You can hear dogs barking while picking up your fur babies remains. Super ick.

My sweet Vaidah crossed the rainbow bridge on the 6th of August and her remains were returned September 3rd. She came back home in a box that was big enough for a German shepherd and I was bothered because my bby was only 6 pounds. The next morning I called and spoke with a gentleman who asked that I send a picture to their email so that he could verify it was indeed the wrong size. He said they would be able to send a replacement (if need be) to the hospital I picked her up at. After sending the email, I called to confirm my picture was received. MELISSA answered the phone this time and was very helpful. She took down my personal address to priority ship a smaller box. I also asked that she double check if my Vaidah was indeed aquamated because the certificate I received said cremation. She reassured me that the certificates were preset but she could make another one for me. Two days later, I received a revised certificate and a smaller box on my porch. I appreciate you Melissa! Thank you for your help and your kindness. Rest in peace Vaidah Anne. We miss your tip toes around the house and you yelling for breakfast. One star gone because we went from a large to a medium. It took a little over two weeks, but I'm very happy with how perfectly his print turned out. I also called excessively and each time they were patient with me. The only thing I didn't like was having to drive back and see the actual cremation machine, but I suppose there's no way to hide that. I also didn't like how I saw all of the animals stacked on top of one another in shipping boxes, but again, how are they supposed store them once they've passed? Our boy Kona passed away back in October 2023. We had been visiting VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital for Kona's treatments until we had to make the impossible decision. Only Cremations was highly attentive. They ensured us about Kona's body being received from the hospital and kept us informed through the process for his remains. We started coordination on a Monday and were able to pick up his remains by the end of the week on a Friday morning. We live very far in Tehachapi, so a trip to Newport Beach would have been an all day event (about 155 miles away/310 miles roundtrip). They were able to arrange with VCA West to have his remains and keepsakes delivered back to the hospital that Friday morning. It saved us hours of an already stressful day. We thank them for their understanding and accommodation to our needs. The entire order of his remains was received gracefully. Everything exceeded our expectations. This helped with our grieving and beginning closure. You can trust them to handle your beloved pets. Whatever you do do not use this place! I had my cat of 17 years old Cremated here through VCA When I received his ashes, which was a cat, they tried to tell me that the paw print was his. You can see in the photo attached that the one on the left is a dog the one they provided. The one on the right is the one I did two hours before my cat passed away. You can clearly see there are two different paw prints on top of two different animals. The fact that they kept trying to tell me that this is a cat paw print is completely wrong. They messed up horribly and they can't admit that they're wrong so they're trying to make it seem like this paw print is my cat when you can clearly tell that it is a dog paw print they try to make their customers seem like liars. And they avoid taking responsibility of their mistakes. What's really sad is some people may not even realize that their paw prints are not even their animals because this place has quite a few issues I found out. Also, my vet that I took my cat to has ended their contract with this place due to as many issues is that they have had like this one. I will always remember what this place did. I will always make sure that they never get business. This is a memory that I will never forget. And right after losing my 17-year-old cat this is pretty horrible to have to remember this horrible situation. If I could give them no stars, I totally would, but it does not work that way. Don't use this place call another crematorium !!! Personally, next time I am going to be using the one I used prior all cremations where they were loving they took my feelings for granted and they made sure I was okay but this place no they just wanted to make sure that no one found out that they messed up. All the associates at this place did not take responsibility for messing up on a time sensitive situation. I usually don't write reviews, but my experience with this cremation facility has been one of the most disappointing experiences in my life. For context, my vet hospital works with this cremation facility so we were sent here. Before the cremation process, I had direct communication with the front desk staff via phone regarding the types of urns and certain add ons that they offered. I do not have complaints about the informative phone calls from the staff, but the disappointing experience happened after the staff acquired my order. I had requested for my companion to be returned back in the floral urn (out of their three standard urns) along with an extra charged add on for a nose ink print. However, on the day that I went to pick up my companion's ashes, I discovered that I did not receive neither of those. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since I received everything else correctly, but come to find out, they had a major miscommunication within their own facility. The urn is resolvable since that is just the matter of sending forth the correct urn. However, forgetting my companion's nose print is completely unacceptable since that cannot be undone no matter how much I wanted to believe it was a false mistake. I am deeply disappointed with my experience here since the nose ink print was an irreplaceable keepsake. During such an emotional time, clearer communication and attention to detail should be a priority, especially in this line of work. I was given the apology of "Sorry there was miscommunication between the teams" which is completely unacceptable given that it was just a simple order of adding on a single nose ink print. My family and I have been through a lot in the past few weeks and this is just another sadness on top of the grief we have been experiencing. This whole incident was truly disheartening. Mistakes may happen, but this type of oversight carries consequences that cannot be fixed. My 17 year old baby girl, Rocky passed on June 28. The vet outsourced a cremation place in which i had to find out on my own, but i wish i would've had the chance to choose where she would be cremated. I don't know how to feel about this place after much research on it, but i had no choice. I can only hope that everything we received is actually my dog. We did an individual cremation to make sure that we only received her ashes back and no other pet would be mixed with her. The clay print of her paw looks much bigger than what her actual paw is. I also got a cremation jewelry heart necklace which was very expensive to say the least. I'm not even sure if her ashes are actually in there as i was never provided a tool to open it and check. Maybe i'm just grieving, but i don't know how to feel about this place. I had spoken with Rob. He was friendly and told me that my dogs ashes would arrive back at my vet on July 8. Unfortunately, she did not arrive at the office until June 11th. I asked Rob if i had the option of picking her up from their office, but was told i had to wait until she arrived at the vet's office. Of course not everyone will treat your pet with the same care as you do, but i can only hope that my baby was treated with respect and care. They know people will go above and beyond for their babies, which is why they charge people a hefty penny. The name plate is also very thin and flimsy. For the price we paid, i would expect something more heavy duty. I wish they had more floral options in terms of urns. We went with the biodegradable urn as it was the only one that looked floral and bright. The other options were very dark and sad looking which didn't really represent what Rocky was. read more

We recently lost our beloved husky and didn't actually directly work with Only Cremations until it was time to pick up our baby. The emergency vet where our baby passed away at works with this crematory and we couldn't be happier. They got our baby's cremations back to us in 1/2 the time we were quoted from the clinic. When we went to pick our baby up we were greeted with loving, caring people behind the scenes. Just the interaction of getting our baby back was enough for me to know that they truly take a lot of care into what they do. Sigh I have mixed feelings about this business because the process of getting my beloved dog cremated with them was quite stressful. I am a transparent person and will be leaving an honest review. A few weeks ago my dog passed away in the emergency pet hospital. The hospital billed me $310 for the cremation alone and Only Cremations was going to get it done. This happened over the weekend so I had to wait until Monday to call Only Cremations to make a few confirmations. Over the weekend, I read some reviews on yelp about Only Cremations and they were a bit concerning, so I knew I had to be very specific with them about my expectations. The person I spoke with on the phone was helpful. She went over exactly what I was getting. I also told her that I will be coming in to pick up my pet because I will still be at work during their delivery hours. There was no chance I was going to risk having someone take my pet because I wasn't home. I also ended up ordering an ink paw print as well as a necklace and asked that my pet's ashes be placed in the necklace. I had to pay over the phone and since I was on my lunch break and had to get back to work, I made a quick transaction without researching more about the necklace. I was charged over $190 for the paw print and necklace. I went online after and found the same necklace for $60. Did I overpay? I think so, but it is what it is. So about a week later, I received a text on Tuesday evening from one of their employees trying to schedule a delivery of the urn and I was very confused because I specifically informed them that I was going to pick it up. I texted back to explain the situation. I also asked if they could confirm that the necklace and paw print are included because I paid for them. The employee could not confirm because everything was already wrapped up and ready to be delivered. He told me to contact the business instead. Next day on my lunch break from work, I called the office and found out they actually forgot the necklace. Great. So, they were going to deliver the urn without the necklace which means they also didn't put my dog's ashes in the necklace. I appreciate that they were honest with me, but they overlooked too many things that should have been in their notes. I took a day off work to drive to Newport on Friday to pick up my pet and I was very concerned that the ashes in the necklace wasn't going to be my pet's ashes because her ashes were already packaged a few days prior. When I arrived I went in the office and was helped right away. I opened everything in the office to double check and I mentioned my concerns about the necklace not having my pet's ashes. One of the ladies who helped me confirmed that it was indeed the right ashes, opened it up to show me the ashes inside, and gave me the tool so that I could add more ashes in if I wanted to. She did seem sincere, so I took her word for it. I asked for a copy of the invoice, and they were able to email me. Afterward, I went in the car and looked at everything again. The ink paw print turned out well and she was such a small dog that her urn was small too, which was cute and suited my tiny dog. There is clay paw print, a wooden heart, flower seeds, and a condolence card that guarantees your pet is cremated privately in their own chamber. I took a look at the ashes for the first time alone in my car and because my dog was a tiny 2.3-pound chihuahua, she was only able to produce less than an ounce of ashes. This totally made me burst into tears. Although it wasn't the smoothest experience because of the several mistakes made, I think the staff were still professional and fixed those issues.
