AVOID! My cat's last minutes were painful, bloody, and undignified. I've used in-home euthanasia for every pet I've lost in the past 12 years. Every previous time it was gentle, patient, and painless. This was cold, rushed, and impersonal from the first phone call -- answered like a pizza order: "what can I help ya with?" right to the horrifying end. I called this company. They scheduled the appointment, they sent the provider, and I paid them. Before they arrived: the same forms filled out two or three times because of their error and my house number written wrong three separate times. After this, they still showed up at the wrong house, texting me a demand to "unlock your door". No apology for any of it. This is not the day you should be wasting on web forms or a company that can't even find your house. Then the horror show of the appointment. Every other vet I've had do this inserted the needle and catheter gently. This one jammed it in -- repeatedly, in his back leg, far more times than I could bring myself to keep counting while I sat, stunned beyond words -- before finally moving to the front leg where she jammed again. I watched his whole body WINCE in pain. When I said he's in pain, she told me with zero compassion "that's normal." That has never happened at any euthanasia I've been through. When she shaved him she drew BLOOD and cut off a one-inch chunk of his skin, leaving an open gaping wound on my baby in what was supposed to be a "peaceful, painless" experience in his last moments with me. After the final injection, she pushed his body at me without securing the waterproof covering, and his urine and feces ran down my leg. Bodily fluids after death are normal. On the grieving owner, they are not. She wrapped him loosely in my own (by then dirty) towel and put him into the bed of a pickup truck under a flat cover -- no basket, no carrier. She had told me he would be placed on a stretcher; I saw none used. It was 115 degrees. Then she got into the air-conditioned cab and drove away. Almost $1,300 for this, including a private cremation that I now have absolutely no confidence in. My beloved pet deserved respect in his last minutes. He didn't get any. After several visits to the vet, multiple medications, and lumpectomy surgeries in a losing battle with cancer, our family made the difficult decision to not let our fur baby suffer any longer. From our initial contact on September 8th, he had offered a same day appointment, but we were able to schedule an in-home euthanasia for September 17th (at my request) in order to spend a few more days making memories and saying our goodbyes. When Sitting Bull's condition worsened drastically on the night of September 10th, I messaged MPC notifying them of our need to move the date up. Blake responded in the early morning hours and he was able to facilitate a same day appointment later that day on September 11th. Dr. Writt and Hayden arrived at our home that afternoon. I want to first off say that my dog's passing wasn't a normal one. Long story short they had to pick his body up at animal control. We all had to arrange when he could be picked up and the communication with them was spot on. The situation was horrible but they made me feel like they cared and wanted to pick him up as soon as he was put down. They then had to do a second pick up days later to grab the rest of his remains. (They had to test him for rabies so ya...). When we got the remains back, they hand deliver it to you which is very special.
