Went in to trade some scrap and gold pieces for a new chain. Was a mix between 14k and some 10k well over 200 grams total around 230-240 Was offered $45 per gram for 14k at first And a lot less for the 10k After a bit of negotiation and a phone call they came back with $50ish per gram for 14k Mind you at this point gold was sitting at $3968/Oz so spot value of the 14k alone was $3968x0.583 = $2,313.34 2313.34/28 = 82.619 $82.61 per gram for 14k So there original offer was about 54.4% of spot value. I wasn't expecting to get spot but I also wasn't expecting to get finessed on a tuesday There was plenty of statements that raised red flags for me one being "gold is going down" My response was just it's not there yet at those prices there valuing 24k pure gold around $2150-$2400 per oz I also over herd another transaction go down where someone was trying to sell 18k gold and there offer was $59.7 per gram (I done the exact math with ther price and weight) they did not take the offer I almost felt like following them out and offering $65. I wasn't even going to leave a review because I have so many mutual friends with the place and even bought a $30k+ Rolex and a $5+ chain from them years back and a chain an pendant for my grandpa. No issue with buying from them ever. But selling I just didn't feel right watching people go and sell there gold for pennies. I also went to the gold refinery off of mission gorge rd and they instantly offered me $70 per gram for the 14k with is coming up on double of there first offer. I didn't sell there either I just wanted to check. Another side note I noticed she included a heavy bracelet that was 14k into the 10k pile along with some extremely small charms. At first I'm thinking okay just because it's stamped Dosnt meen that it is what it says. But I went and got them tested with the xrf and they came back 14k I don't know just seems a bit shady. I would just shop around if your selling gold and definitely do some research the very next spot I went to offered me $25 more per gram so that says all I need to know. Even if some of the numbers aren't adding up at the end of the day I was offered $45 per gram of 14k when gold price is $3960 I know pawn shops / jewelry shops don't pay that much but this just wasn't right. read more

I came in here July 24th and bought two little kids bracelets one for $355 and another for $545. $900 total I spent. The next following week I came in with a valid receipt and returned the bracelet that was originally $355. In exchange I bought these gold earrings for $385 and got the receipt for that but never got a receipt that stated the exchange. Nor did I get the original receipt because I told the worker I wouldn't need it anymore since it was just one item on that list and it was returned. But the problem was that in the box I returned was the bracelet for $545!!!! I exchanged the wrong bracelet for the price of $355 instead of the $545 price. Today august 19th my mother is going through the gold at home, and sees that I returned the wrong bracelet. She tells me and immediately I go to the jewelers with the original bracelet I was suppose to exchange that was $355 and I tell them the situation. I told them I gave them a bracelet with the WRONG receipt. I told them, after that the son Tomas Toma begin to tell me that the bracelet that I had with me was not from them. Then he tell me the earrings I got from them from the exchange (I was wearing them and showed them to him) that I didn't get it from their shop. So now they are calling me a liar??! Tomas said he works there everyday and that the earrings I have are not from there. Just because I didn't have the receipt of the earrings with me but I do have it!! After them calling me a liar about the bracelet being from their shop I flipped out even more and walked out. I don't have the original receipt of the $355 because the worker took it, the $545 bracelet receipt we misplaced and my earrings I have the receipt. They have copies of the receipts to prove what I'm saying but Tomas said he doesn't have time to look through thousands of receipts. But they have cameras ALL over they can't look at the footage? It's called laziness and they stole $200 from me by giving me the wrong price for the bracelet that was being exchanged. ****keep in mind they weigh the jewelry if it's ever exchanged*** the worker knew what was going on but still chose to not give me the right price for exchange he just gave me the price that was on the receipt. So again I'm a liar, I never got any jewelry from them even tho they have CAMERAS AND THE RECEIPTS that show I was there and proof of what I purchased.** I also have a video of us buying the bracelets in there store showing the bracelet in my hand and showing the jewelry case. & proof of the bracelet in the jewelry case that I supposedly didn't buy from them. I have proof of everything but I'm still a liar. Nadine, what were you trying to do? Come over the counter and physically attack me?? I started getting loud at the shop when Tomas and your mother called me liar! I have every right to be upset it's human nature. But you know what not natural someone who comes into an argument not knowing what's going on and trying to actually come at me. Next time your mom won't be around to pull you away from attacking a customer let alone another human being. Thanks Tomas and Nadine for calling me a liar and stealing $200 from me. read more
