I told her the situation, and she expected me to drive all the way across town to get a free drink, but by the time I would have driven for another drink I would have already spent that money in gas. She said she could refund, but it was paid for in cash. She told me there was nothing she could do. She didn't say she would inspect the ice machine, which is likely where the bug slipped into the drink. There was no offer to come back at a different time to resolve the issue. This experience also calls cleanliness, staff awareness, and contamination into the question. How did the staff not see something dark and fairly large in the cup? Did it come from the ice machine? Are they cleaning the ice machine?? If the bug did come from the ice machine, now all the ice is contaminated and everyone who orders a drink is getting bug ice. Don't come here if you like bug-free drinks.
