Are you nervous that people won't dance at your event/wedding? Are some of your family members a little conservative and not exactly sure what will get them to groove and loosen up? Do you love music, but don't necessarily know dance music that will appeal to all ages? These were all my concerns, but have no fear... Felix is here! Ok, let me tell you.. our love for music and range of music is extensive, to say the least. My husband is very into feel good, upbeat, Hawaiian and rap. I'm very much into the oldies, throwbacks, country and alternative. Don't feel like you need to stick to 1 genre/theme!! You should be able to do what you want, especially for your wedding day!! Just to name a few, we went from Nat King Cole to Ed Sheeran to Tessanne Chin to Color Me Badd to Alesso to Lifehouse to Jose Mari Chan and Brett Young.. and we loved it! What I loved most about Felix - he met with us several times, not only to discuss music but to also get to know us - he has the 'clean' version of any song - he's professional, brings great energy and is so passionate about his job - he'll be there few hours before the event to test his equipment - most importantly.. he's able to assess the crowd and play music accordingly. For example, some DJ's will just play their music and their playlists all night. That's great, but my grandma doesn't necessarily enjoy EDM. Our parents/aunties/uncles love to Cha-Cha and ballroom dance! I'm so glad he played their music when he noticed they were dominating the dancefloor for several minutes during the night, they really appreciated it and had so much fun! Felix was the first vendor we locked down after securing a Date and Reception location. He can really set the mood for the entire reception. I really can't thank Felix for calming my nerves and really coming through with the most memorable night ever. Just to put in perspective, the only time no one was on the dance floor was when our Boba Cart was brought out lol. Then everyone came back dancing with boba in their hands. Felix (Island Breeze) was our DJ and MC for my wedding and I 100% recommend him! First of all, he was so helpful and patient in helping us plan the timeline of our reception and gave us suggestions on what type of music to play for each event. In addition, we requested to keep the music clean of any vulgar language, however at the same time, we wanted to play all the top latin songs in bachata, salsa, cumbias, merengue, banda, and also some top 40 hits and he made sure to get as many of the clean versions as he could. We also gave him a list of the "must songs" we wanted played during the reception and he made sure to get those songs as well. He was also kind enough to help provide some microphones and sound equipment for my mariachi band that performed during the dinner. Also, his wife assisted him throughout the day and helped provide any translation in Spanish as MC, which was extremely helpful because the majority of our guests where Latino and it was nice to have the option to have them MC in either language when needed. I can go on, and on but to sum up he kept everyone on the dance floor all night, helped facilitate the flow of the reception (which was extremely important), was very energetic, professional and kind. We had our wedding June 23, 2018 and Felix was our first choice from the start. We hired him about 8 months before our wedding and he met with us 3 times in person to make sure we had everything we wanted! We were able to message him with any questions, concerns or changes up until the day of! Attended a 65th surprise birthday party this past weekend. We could hear the music before walking into the hall, and I told my husband, wow the DJ sounds good, which is a good thing cause this family loves to dance. I walk pass the DJ table, and see the name Island Breeze, and me being from Hawaii was thinking maybe he has some island reggae music, this party was for my husbands family, and they are of latino descent, and when we walked in his was playing the awesome latin music.
