typical donut shop, pretty busy. classic doughnuts , i will say the kolaches are very good... fine priced the service was okay. it was a run down looking place but i dont expect much coming from galveston

Same exact two items...this is the normal usual price until the owners ring you up then it goes to the next price I posted.

As it's our only donut shop in the area I have tried and tried to be patient. but I always buy the same exact two items every day and it's always different prices! I asked about it today and received a terrible attitude to be told I'm wrong. my cashapp account that I pay with proves they are crazy! plus they cook in dirty conditions. all the donut shops in galveston far surpass this junk! bad business practices for sure

Cream cheese filled croissant, da bomb!!!! So good!

This rating is JUST for the one thing we ordered and ate. This cream cheese filled croissant. Omg! It was moist, light , full of cream cheese end to end. I wish I knew what they called it but it was the most memorable sweet treat we bought between two states on the trip. Wish I could go back and get more! All the other food didn't look appealing but this one item was a hit..

    Old fashioned, & blueberry

Quick service, affordable prices, kind of dirty atmosphere and hygiene but a hat doesn't really bother me lol. Only donut shop around

Nasty bacon & egg breakfast taco. Fed to the crabs.

Place was busy and I can only assume it's because they're the only donut shop on the peninsula. We went just before 730 Sunday morning. We got a couple of donuts, bacon & egg tacos & pigs in a blanket to go (we had to get the big ones as they were out of the small ones). I'm unsure what sausage was in the pig in blanket- I took 2 bites and had to spit them out. Since those were a fail I was glad to have the taco.... until I took a bite. Yuck! I have no idea what it tasted like but it sure wasn't eggs or bacon! The insides were brown in color although this picture actually shoes some yellow. Either way it was disgusting and made me gag. I was able to eat the cinnamon donut that tasted 1-3 days old. This place has a lot it can do to be a good donut shop. Until it improves, we will not be back & would encourage you to not waste your time or hard earned money. Gas station prepackaged donuts are WAY BETTER than Dannays.

Easy breakfast , lots of variety

While vacationing on Crystal Beach, we bought donuts at Dannay Donuts, and they were delicious. The blueberry donuts were the best ever!

Flies landing on food. No glass protectors. Only tried kolaches and croissant since they could be microwaved. They both were good.

Great flavor in the boil and not too much nitro dusting. Great deal at $30 for 5 lbs. My wife and I each ordered one. Along with a burger for my kids tab came to $85 which I think is reasonable as including all soft drinks and tip it came to $100 total. This included the two crawfish place as well as the cheeseburger my daughter had (this one doesn't like crawfish). Place is packed on weekend evenings, but a great place to sneak into during the early afternoon. If we are back on the peninsula we are definitely coming here if it's crawfish season. Staff super nice and she filled all of our glasses multiple times between tea, water, soda and was great about clearing the table promptly as well. Worth a stop!

What's just ok: The flavor of the fajita beef and chicken. As in, they don't have much. If you like grilled meat without any seasoning, then it is perfect for you. We found it very bland. Would we go back? Maybe but it's definitely not the best food option around. But I might go back if I knew the evening's entertainment would be taking the stage again. He was GREAT.

I was visiting from out of town at a beach house a family friend kindly let us use and she said we absolutely had to stop in for dinner here one evening. We were a larger group of 8 but they had no problem accommodating us. They don't take reservations but we called earlier in the day and they told us when to come in for dinner service (6 on the dot) and they had an area set up for our group. I can't rave enough about this place. The service was impeccable and every staff we interacted with so, so friendly and welcoming to us. Most of our table went with their many diverse seafood options and said how delicious everything was. I wasn't in a seafood mood and opted instead for the grilled chicken smothered with bell peppers and mushrooms. I was genuinely shocked by how moist and juicy the chicken was and loved the blackened cajun seasoning used on it. The salad that comes with the entree was also a VERY generous size and you could easily get filled up on it if not careful. No visit to Bolivar will complete now without stopping into Stingaree from now on.

Everything was delicious, but the surprise star was the mango habanero dipping sauce. 10/10. Hush puppies dipped in that were amazing. Really anything... it paired with the oysters or shrimp, too. The coleslaw was the only miss, but it's complimentary. Mine was a bit frozen still and relatively flavorless. Skip it and you'll be just as happy. The desserts were all amazing. Chocolate cake and key lime pie were HUGE and great. The ... Chocolate torte... I think it was... was excellent. I'm not gluten sensitive, it was just worth trying. Our waitress, Kristina, was patient with the kids and all our questions. Such a great place. If we weren't stuffed to the girls, we'd consider hitting it up for supper before leaving town.

I dove directly into my coconut shrimp and forgot to take a photo. I actually finished the plate which is a major rarity for me. I also tried the hush puppies and cilantro lime rice (with COCONUT!)... both of which are the best I've had in this entire area. The hush puppies have the perfect amount of jalapeño in them. For drinks, I had a loaded landshark (always refreshing and lovely) and a frozen house margarita. Yum! The only thing I'd recommend they improve upon is the indoor chair material. Fabric is never a good option, especially in a kid-friendly place. While comfortable, it's not worth the messes that get stuck to them. I had to switch chairs around and settle for the least dirty one. It's not a good look and no one wants to sit atop another person's spill.

Loved our meals at Fins!…read more We're staying here at Camp Margaritaville for an RV rally. One evening, we decided to eat at Fins with another couple. We met on the early side of the evening and were seated right away. Our server was super nice and very helpful. We ordered drinks and later ordered our meals. The drinks were tasty. I ordered the Fried Seafood Platter. It was very good and had a lot of seafood on it. I ate less than half of it and took the rest home for dinner the next night. My wife ordered Fish Tacos and felt they were "okay" - not extraordinary. She too took half her meal home to eat the next day. I also want to add that we rode up the elevator with the Food and Beverage Manager and he was quite pleasant. In fact, every employee we met at Fin's greeted us warmly and were quite cheery. We'll eat at Fin's next year when we return.
