Just like the other docs..The first time I saw him, he did a full exam of my spine and neck (biggest area of concern) and asked a lot of questions about my activity level and pain. He stretched me out a little bit prior to my adjustment (much appreciated) then very gently adjusted me back into place ..What a great experience and he is so gentle with the adjustments..no surprises ! Stopped by an a Wednesday to inquire about treatment for my sciatica. Young lady manning the counter told me she was the only one there and was on lunch but couldn't leave the office. I asked questions about possible treatment but the young lady was not informed enough to answer any of my questions. I asked about the 10 visit price special, but she told me the prices was a Black Friday special. Funny, I was quoted that price well after Black Friday. PATIENT BEWARE! Make sure you know your benefits and coverage BEFORE you go here! I provided all of my daughters insurance information prior to the visit and was under the impression that they had verified & billed her insurance but nearly 4 months later when trying to schedule the rest of my family for appointments and given out of pockets of nearly 1/3 of the cost I previously paid, this raising questions as to why I paid so much only to find out they never billed my insurance nor did they tell me they couldn't find my insurance and now I'm gonna have to probably fight with them to get claims submitted to my insurance which is ridiculous! Sad because the Dr was really nice so it sucks when you don't get the same experience from their office staff and it's like they just don't care! read more

WOW! Just WOW! Dr. Darvas is, hands down, one of the BEST chiropractors in the islands! I came in 5 months pregnant with sciatic pain, arthritis, lower back pain, hip pain, heel pain, and every other kind of discomfort minus a headache (thank you, Jesus! I'm a wuss with headaches!) Dr. PETE and his staff at stadium mall are awesome! Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. I came because I had been having vertigo. After first treatment tightness in my shoulder blade was gone. It's been so long that I thought the tightness was normal until Dr. Pete treated me. 2nd visit I got a 5 min massage from Claudia(?) To loosen me up. Holy cow that felt good! The location is tucked behind target on Lawehana. I started coming here when I had a pinch nerve in my neck and it was giving me major headaches. I texted the number listed and I was able to get an appointment on the same day with Dr. Norm. Immediately after going to my appointment it elevated my major head ache. My neck was still a little sore but the pounding headache went away. I went for my neck a few times and my neck pain was all gone. I had only just arrived in Hawaii when my lower back became an issue big enough to ruin my fun. After giving it a little time to see if the problem would just go away (it didn't) I looked for chiropractors on the island. This was my 1st time seeing a Chiropractor, and I'm glad it was Dr.Norm. He provided me comfort of being knowledgeable in his specialty and brought medical terms to an understanding where anyone would be able to follow along with what he's explaining and what his next steps will be (Thanks Doc!!!). He acknowledged the symptoms I was having, especially my daily headaches/migraines (which was never an issue before), and noted that medication can help but it doesn't solve the issue, basically it prolongs the issue. Which I agree 100% with him, and you know what after seeing him and completing my 1st Chiropractic session I haven't had a headache since!! It relieved the tension and help relax my neck, trapeze area, along with my lower back pain too!! Dr. Norm is great. I've had this nagging lower back pain for quite sometime now and have tried various methods to alleviate the pain but none worked. I've tried acupuncture, massage therapy, and even electro stim but none have worked like Dr. Norm. My first visit there he quickly assessed me and indicated what seemed to be the issue. A few cracks here and a few back adjustments later I was feeling good as new after my first visit. It's not been about a month since I've gone there and my back has never felt better. For over 15 years my husband suffered from debilitating Cluster headaches. These headaches are different from migraines. Attacks come yearly, are incapacitating, and all I could do was sit and watch my husband suffer in tremendous pain. At 3 am (about a year ago) my husband was in the midst of one of the worst headaches he'd ever had (about 8 hours in excruciating pain) I was desperate and turned to the internet for alternatives to the drugs (which weren't working) and researched chiropractic care. BEWARE!!! I made the appointment stating that I had a groupon. I arrived early for my appointment, and told Dr. Norm I was trying to find my groupon. But, I stopped looking for it, stating that I would look for it after, because he was ready early for my appointment. He waited until AFTER my appointment to tell me I couldn't use it and charged me $65 for a session that was less than 5 minutes and caused me more pain that when I got there. He dismissed my question about getting credited for what I paid for my groupon by saying that he didn't know how to do it and that groupon gets most of it anyway...that he only gets a few dollars out of it. I wish he was honest about it from the beginning. Even if I got to use my groupon, it was certainly not worth the pain inducing 5 minute session. read more
