Salmon, tuna, and shrimp bowl with white rice. Masago added as premium topping.
    Arun K.

I had a great experience at the branch in Lake Mary, so I wanted to give the Windermere one a shot as well since it is close to my parents house. I went inside on a Wednesday evening and was greeted immediately. I chose salmon, tuna, and shrimp for the proteins, with white rice (14 dollars). For my toppings , I asked for the spicy pickled vegetables. I also added masago, which is an extra 1.5 dollars. I decided to have this togo so I can enjoy it at home. When it came to pay, I had a 25 percent coupon from dining advantage. However, the hostess at the counter had to call her manager as she didn't know how to ring it up. 5 minutes later, she was able to ring it and I got this meal for a total of almost 13 dollars. When I got home, it was nicely sealed in a bowl. Just like the Lake Mary location, everything was so good inside. The pickled vegetables had a nice sourness while still tasting fresh. All the fish tasted fresh and were tender, but I thought one would be a bit spicy as I ordered that version. However, the pickled jalapenos helped add a small kick. The sauces tasted delicious, and the house sauce added some great flavor, as well as the avocado creme sauce too. The masago has a nice crunch as I really enjoy fish eggs. I really find island fin to be a great chain for Orlando, and the Windermere location is no exception. The food and service was great. I did notice the dining area is small, but there were still tables available. This place makes me a big fan of poke bowls and definitely worth trying in the Windermere area.

I'm not sure if it's the southern hospitality that I'm not used to or hospitality is seriously their thing here, but service is phenomenal. They let you sample the sauces for your bowl. They also carried our food to the table, provided us with hefty samples of the dole whip when we were nearly done with our food, and threw away our bowls for us. Plus they have a half off dole whip happy hour. $2 for this massive dole whip that is plentiful to share. This is also the best poke I've had in the area and I've tried a few spots.

I'm a poke lover! If there's ever an option for sushi or poke, I'm there! This place is super cute, located in the Windermere grove. Decorated with Hawaiian tropic vibes. The restaurant is an order at the counter/select your own ingredients kind of place similar to a chipotle. They have ALL the goodies and toppings that you could ever want on a poke bowl. Most of the ingredients are free they do have a few premium toppings, like avocado and crab that you would have to pay additional for. My go to is half brown rice & mixed greens base, the salmon, tuna and spicy tuna for protein. Add all the toppings + crab. Top with the ponzu and OG sauce. The staff are always kind, quick and friendly. We enjoy coming here. Pro tip: save room for a dole whip

This is the avocado- the picture doesn't do justice. It was a salmon bowl, the salmon was like warm and there was about 9 pieces total

this place, use to a staple. Now... the food quality is horrendous. i beg you, save your money. disgusting now...

Did my diligence of checking hours of operation. Sundays are open till 9pm according to their website, Maps & Yelp. Waste of my time and Gas. Arrived at 8:25pm and the place was completely closed. Never coming back.

    Best poke bowl EVER

Absolutely love this place. I've tried poke in different restaurants around Orlando, but nobody takes the cake like Island Fin. Me plus a few others ordered online in the past for curbside pickup, and everything came out fast and exceeded our expectations as far as quality. My friend and I came in tonight to grab some dinner to go, as their online ordering seemed to be off for the night (about 30 mins before close at 9pm). The customer service here is wonderful! Staff is super friendly and excited to tell you about their food. Everything is fresh and the line and the restaurant all together are kept super clean. A man who I assume is the GM or owner helped me build my perfect bowl as well as let me taste different sauces and suggested other items for my bowl, based on my flavor preferences. He was super happy to help and had a wonderful attitude. You can tell he's proud of what he does and we love to see that! The bowl ingredients are super fresh and delish. They have lots of different toppings and mix ins to choose from, the combinations are literally endless so you can have a different flavor in every bite if you like variety. I pack lots of stuff into my bowl (I'll spare you those details) and everything is a beautiful mix. I definitely recommend the togarashi and the ono ono sauce! Adds lots of flavor. They add lots of rice as a base, so no matter how many toppings you get, you're sure to be full or have leftovers for later. Not to mention it's a poke bowl so you can just pop it in the fridge and eat it later without any extra effort :) I work nearby and lots of us are super fans of this place. Not many people seem to know it's there so spread the word! Best poke ever!

Came by here after working out at the gym nearby. The owners greeted me very warmly and showed off their restaurant theme and decor. Poke has really taken up recently and this place serves some good poke and hospitality. I opted for the standard spicy tuna bowl which was very good especially with the edamame and wakame seaweed salad. I also had an orange and pineapple dole whip which was delicious even though it was a winter day.

GROSS COLOR. This is NOT fresh salmon!

If I could give 1 star I would!! My little sister got me a bowl to go and brought it home and THIS is the color of the salmon. DOES THIS LOOK FRESH TO YOU?? When I called to tell them I can't eat this, I was basically told "well we temp check our salmon so it's fine." And then they refused to give me a refund as I throw this bowl away. HUNG UP ON ME TWICE after saying they would put me on hold and talk to a manager. I was being very nice about it too so there was no reason for them to hang up on me other than them trying to get rid of me. VERY BAD BUSINESS. I'm breastfeeding a newborn and not taking a chance with pinkish looking salmon. WOULD YOU!??

Great food!!!. The service was so friendly and homey. The bowls are prepared with love. There are variety of sauces and toppings to choose from and make the poke of your dreams. Also great selection of juices and sodas. I wish we lived closer so I can visit more often

Instead of explaining why they tasted different, two bartenders argued with us and told us we were wrong. They even remade one. The second one tasted exactly the same. Only then were we told that they don't actually use tequila--they use an infused wine product instead. Looking at the menu, it's easy to see why we were confused. The drinks are listed with ingredients like tequila, vodka, whiskey, rum, and gin. The only indication otherwise is a tiny line at the bottom that says they serve "Premium Blend Spirits." That doesn't clearly communicate that these cocktails aren't made with actual liquor. What really ruined the experience was the attitude. Rather than simply explaining the difference, the two bartenders argued with us, told us we were wrong, and we could clearly hear them making negative comments about us afterward. We ended up canceling our food order and leaving. Our server was kind, and we still left them a tip because this wasn't their fault. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled means we won't be back.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more This location is becoming known as the initial startup location for many bakeries, cakeries, and dessert shops. For me, I remember when Jackie's Bakery was here. Then it was occupied by the iconic The Sweet Heartist. Now, we have another bakery here, one that specializes in gluten-free baked goods, Willow's Gluten-Free Bakery. To be fair, the offerings that Willow's Gluten-Free Bakery (which I will shorthand to simply Willow's for the remainder of the review) is kind of paultry compared to their predecessors, but I must stress that when you take into account everything is gluten-free, it is quite a lot. As a matter of fact, I will even go as far to say that Willow's has it harder as baking gluten-free products is not an easy task, and you have to follow certain guidelines and rules if you want to really live up to he moniker of being "gluten-free." Though an address is given, most Brevardians know of the locale that Willow's is at if they happen to be a huge supporter of indie businesses. It always gives me a giggle that the business is right next to an Asian massage parlor, but I guess for an initial location, it is a price most businesses can't refuse. The location is still smallish and Willow's has to utilize what they have just like their predecessors. On the bakeshop floor, they have two display cases, a display table, and a pie case. There is no mention of the wares being gluten-free so it must be assumed that everything is gluten-free unless specially noted. To be fair, it would be hard to do both gluten and non-gluten wares in such a small space. The rule of thumb, from my knowledge as a baker working at Publix in the past, is that you can't use the kitchenware for regular baked goods with gluten-free wares and the kitchenware for gluten-free wares can only have gluten-free ingredients, ONLY! This prevents cross-contamination. In short, if Willow's uses a heavy duty mixer and they do gluten and gluten-free wares, they'll need to have two mixers in their tight space so that they don't mix. Also, the possibility of cross-contamination is very high in such a small baking area, too. What labels they do have are any extra added health details such as being free of nuts, soy, eggs, or being completely vegan. And the range is quite big for such desserts including donuts, cakes, pies, and cookies. I, myself, came here because they have a "Cinnamon Roll Flight," which was fantastic. The price was fair and the buns were not too big, not too small. Like Baby Bear's porridge, bed, and chair, they are "just right." And the taste? Exquisite. They tasted exactly like their flavors including pumpkin pie, maple bacon, regular, etc. Ultimately, the only gripe I have is its weird location and the hours they have, plus te lack of selection near the end of their operating hours, which is more on me than them. For now, I will give Willow's four out of five stars for their flavor, their excellent customer service, and the range of their gluten-free line. If Willow's remains consistent for, let's say about four more visits, I'll grant them their fifth star for consistency.
