The best curry goat I've tasted in Columbia perfectly cooked very tender great flavor. Mac and cheese, plantains, pigeon peas, and rice very good sides. Fast service little wait time.

This was some wack ass food!

Island Grill Columbia SC I WANT MY DAM MONEY BACK! This place is the absolute WORST!!!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!! THIS IS NOT authentic Caribbean Jamaican food. My 1st visit will also be my LAST. The Jerk Chicken they served me was nothing but SKIN & Bones. The cabbage was too crunchy and hard. The Rice & peas was hard, undercooked and had hardly any peas. I've been to Jamaica. --Ate plenty of authentic Jamaican dishes. So I know what good Caribbean Jamaican food should taste like. THIS AIN'T EVEN CLOSE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I Repeat: THIS IS NOT CARIBBEAN JAMAICAN FOOD! THIS IS TERRIBLE TERRIBLE FOOD! I WANT MY DAM MONEY BACK!

Oxtails with red beans and rice, yams, and collard greens.

The food is very good everything I fresh. I also had their fried chicken and may I say omg the chicken is flavorful. The only thing I would say that isn't the best is the yams because it's literally just a sweet potato in big chunks. Other than that the food is awesome.

First off the women at the door who takes the orders due to NO ENTRANCE is unfriendly and very rude..the food was NOT tasty I've had better especially without the COOKED WORM & HAIR that was found in the bottom of my tray The Collard greens taste like vinegar an sugar, the cabbage was very hard an crunchy, Oh did I mention the cooked Worm, Hair, and Skinny rude lady at the door!! THE WORST!! I gave it one star for the mac & cheese. A WASTE OF MONEY

Location is Bush River Rd same shopping center as Roses…read more We've been here quite a few times for me it's mainly the Patti and coco bread. They are priced slightly lower than Island Grill. I believe variety includes chicken, beef, spinach but not certain. My wife gets the curry goat and oxtail plates, the portions of meat and rice is large. The plantains are only two and cabbage is smaller than rice. I think the meat is probably the closest tasting it can get to the real thing. No Jamaican restaurant I visited in America can get the jerk chicken taste quite the way it tastes in Jamaica. The rice and peas don't have much coconut taste if any but they give a large portion. Plantain are good, our cabbage last visit was mushy not their best work as I don't remember having this complaint before. We haven't tried Escovitch or veggie plate here. There is a small section of spice bun, biscuits, other dry goods and freezer drinks. Sparse indoor seating, no bar, mainly pick up orders. Interior decoration features some geographical illustrations, pics, possibly hand crafted traditional pieces (not for sale), and boombox music. Prices are high for plates, perhaps that reflects portion sizes. Employee/customer relations is polite. Quick option of the few in Columbia on Irmo side.

I called them back and explained my issues to the young lady who answered the phone, she spoke to the manager and she told me that they would be more than happy to make a new order if I came to pick it up, I explained to her that the order was delivered and I was not able to pick it up, she put me on hold again and the owner of the restaurant Lorenzo came to the phone, he was really nice and was willing to make things right, he gave me some options that didn't work for me, but out no where he said that he would redo my order and personally deliver the order to me. I was stunned because this has never happened. I really appreciated the great service. I ordered the Curry Chicken Dinner and it was delicious, and I will definitely be ordering from them again. We all know that customer service isn't like it use to be, but this was A1 service. Thank you Lorenzo for everything.

For our lunch, we decided to dive into the menu with the Brown Stew Chicken and Oxtail, and let me tell you... every bite was packed with flavor. The kind of meal where the first bite makes you pause because you can instantly taste the love and seasoning that went into it. The Brown Stew Chicken was tender, flavorful, and falling right off the bone. Served with rice, and one side, I upgraded my side to the Rasta Pasta and it was 100% worth it. Creamy, delicious, and the perfect addition to the meal. My husband went for the Oxtail with peas and rice plus a side of macaroni and cheese. That oxtail was cooked perfectly -- rich, comforting, and full of those bold island spices you hope for. And don't forget about one of their lemonades! We got Island Apple Lemonade -- refreshing, sweet, and the perfect match for all those incredible flavors. One thing that stood out to us was the attention to detail. The sides weren't just there to fill the plate -- they brought their own flavor and made the whole meal come together. We left already talking about what we need to try next because there is definitely more of this menu we need to explore! If you're craving authentic island-inspired comfort food in the Columbia area, be sure to give Tati's Island Cuisine a try! Everyone was so kind and can't wait to go back!
