If you hit it just right, you might be able to get your food within 10-15 minutes. However, I have left without ordering on multiple occasions recently, including today, after waiting extended periods of time without even being greeted. I used to love going to this place. In fact, I'd often push for it as a group lunch option. However, with this recurring experience, I am begrudgingly becoming less and less regular. I gave a two star review, because when you can get acknowledged and actually order, the food is great. However, that is becoming less and less of the norm. :-( read more

This place is sooo delicious! They are quick and efficient. I love that they cut up my chicken for me! I love Mac salad, who doesn't.. but unfortunately, to me, twice now I've had bland mac salad from here - next time I'll ask for a salt packet to help a little bit I think. Traveling home to Gresham from visiting family in California. So tired of fast food. Saw that Island Grindz Bento had the best reviews AND it was a drive-through. We had a chicken bentos with teriyaki and one with coconut curry. Delicious. The flash fried cream cheese and crab rolls ( wonton) were fair. The coconut shrimp was spot on. And I definitely felt like I was on Maui again with a blackberry shaved ice w/ ice cream. So yummy! The prices need to be adjusted on Yelp! After have a nice little place bookmark for over 5 years I had the opportunity to finally try it! GPS had me all over the dang place. Every time it told me I have arrived I saw nothing! Not giving up I probly spent almost 10 minutes trying find this little hut! I posted pictures of where it's located just in case it happens to you to. You're welcome! We pulled up to this location around 12:30 if they had linnes on both sides of the hut. They were able to move the lines at a fast speed. After waiting about 3 minutes it was finally our turn. Because I knew I wouldn't be out in this area for a while I decided to order a whole bunch of food. We ordered the chicken and vegetables shaved ice and their cream cheese egg rolls. Over all I would everything was really good. The price of their cream cheese egg rolls was a little high in my opinion two for $5 is a little costly. What a surprise! These guys took a failed coffee shack and turned it into the best "fast food" Drive thru ever. Had the Chicken and Steak bento (which means rice bowl apparently), with coconut curry sauce and a side of fresh macaroni salad. Add to it a fresh coconut water and I was a very happy camper. I've been here about 4 times now and am confused, I've been charged more than the menu prices everytime. Also the menu says all bento comes with a side of Mac or green salad. I have never been given a salad or Mac when I order bento. Today I went through and she didn't even let me specify or asked what sauce I wanted and I got teriyaki which I prefer the coconut. The food is good and the girls are friendly but I'm not really sure how to get the salad and why I'm always charged more than the menu prices. They offer grilled chicken and steak or both. Choice of white or brown rice and either Mac salad or green salad. Other choices include curry bento, chicken with peanut sauce, chicken with sautéed veggies, chicken with grilled pineapple. Add Ono rolls (cream cheese and crab fried pockets of goodness deep fried) or potstickers. They also have Hawaiian shaved ice in many flavors! The hubby and I always get one steak and one chicken! Best of both worlds, considering they both are super tender chunks of meat grilled and slathered in a teriyaki sauce.
