Fat cat has food coma after eating half of my ahi tuna.
James R.

Awesome, delicious, good food portions and the service is fast. Really laid back environment, even my cat loved the tuna. My cat is fat and it takes a lot for her to please that diva, this place is her new favorite place for fresh ahi tuna.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I am Hawaiian, and this place is ONO. I wish I could have the first bite of food all over again. It's made from the soul, and you can tell when you eat it. Hawaiian food is Hawaiian food. It doesn't need jazz, it needs aloha. And this food is cooked with aloha. Aunty Angie and Uncle Phil are bringing the aloha to Oregon. Food: loco moco = ono. Two patties, two eggs, gravy all over. Mac salad = perfect Hawaiian style Pork adobo = YES Aloha plate = Friday special that was heaven! Laulau, chicken long rice, kalua pig, poke, rice, and coconut cake. Bring your appetite cos they load it up! Spicy ahi poke and shoyu ahi poke = yess. Perfectly made and ono. Teri chicken = the sauce on it is home made and delicious!! I can't wait to get back for more. Our next trip will definitely include a stop here. Mahalo plenty!

Unbelievably amazing food. You can taste the quality of the fish, and the love that's put into each dish. (Unintentional rhyme!)

Food carry very good and prices fair. Generous portions and friendly islander staff! Gotta try them out! Ok grindz to da max!

The best & freshest poke in the area! I love the spicy and ginger teriyaki flavors. Service is always friendly and quick.

Besides how awesome the owner was, I would still rank it #1 favorite Hawaiian restaurant... great flavors, fresh, and good value for the large portions / they don't skimp on the proteins and an appetizer could easily be a meal. Also cool merch. The owner and service was so amazing.

Menehe Kalua Pork

The service was friendly. Clean seating area. I had the Kalua Pork meal, my husband had the Teriyaki Beef. The food was delicious, but nothing any different than any other Hawaiian restaurant in GP. Although, most of the Kalua Pork I have eaten was always way too salty, this one not salty at all. The one item that stood out for me was the Poke! We had the Spicy Poke, which I would recommend that everyone try! I wish that instead off all restaurants making the same foods, that they would take a risk to be above the rest and add some Hawaiian cuisine that is different and unique to their restaurant. Jazz it up a bit!

Really good food! We had the chicken teriyaki - plenty of sauce and big portions- along with big aloha customer service!

Great hidden gem. The poke plate is more than enough, tokyo poke is probably the best. The lady in front was so nice as well.

Honestly most the time I order from here the food is good enough. But recently I had a plate from…read morethis location that had a massive women hair in it. Didn't really enjoy pulling this long hair out of my mouth like a fish line from the ocean to see what I've caught. Now granted this is unavoidable as I have worked in the food and service industry for most of my life and know it happens. What made me write this review is the fact that the people who handled my food were not wearing hats, hairnets or having their hair pulled up above the neck and ears which is a OR health code violation. I know that it could have been the end of their night, and they were done nearly done with their shifts or whatever, BUT rules are rules for a reason. Good luck with your business and if you can take anything away from this review: please put your hair up while on the clock. Cheers,

It was good, the spam slice was a bit thin and it was in the middle of the rice cube instead of on top but the taste, there was a light teriyaki sauce, was excellent. Only one type of musubi is available. Ideally, it should have a pickled turnip next to the meat, but many places skip that. Musubi can be made with chicken and/or egg instead of spam and in Japan, salmon is most often used. Cute server, but of course that's not relevant.
