After a quick safety briefing we were on our way to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets ever. The ship was equipped with a bunch of beanbags to lounge on and we had plenty of room to relax. As an added bonus we were escorted back to the dock by a small pod of dolphins. An absolutely amazing trip from start to finish! Bring your favorite wine and have a great time like we did.

The event turned out great, we had about 300 kids involved in an open water tournament and everyone had a great time and an unforgettable experience ! Safety was huge for this community center too, they went the extra mile to insure that our participants would be safe during their open water experience. It would be great to have another event here! Only downside is sand flies ! I'm paying the price with SOOOO MANY BITES. But I realize they are part of the natural habitat so I'm still giving them 5 stars!

The check in process was easy and we got our picture taken, which is available for a small charge if you want the purchase it after the tour through the Tropics website. There is a bar, bathroom, and plenty of seating on the boat during the tour. It would have been nice if it was a little cooler, but we can't help what the summer brings with the heat. There was a breeze off and on, which helped a lot. The captain and the staff members were great. The captain gave a informative speech while we were going to the halfway point about the Clearwater Bay and the dolphins. We saw lots of dolphins come up around the boat and there is plenty of picture taking while you are on the boat. I recommend checking it out while you're in the area to amp up the boat game!

Herman was a wonderful captain, and made navigating the water and under the bridges look easy. Herman was the captain and Sandy was helping him. First mate? Idk nautical terms. Sandy moved around the boat to provide us with complimentary refreshments (water and soft drinks) and food that we brought on ourselves. Everything was super easy from booking to meeting at the dock. Herman and Sandy were super chill. My friends and I lived our best lives just chatting and relaxing in the bean bag chairs at the front of the boat. While we were out, we also saw soo many dolphins! And after sunset, we were treated to fireworks in the distance (random luck, not part of the cruise lol). It was amazing. There's also a toilet on board if you need to relieve yourself. Otherwise, I brought a sandwich platter on board, but it was a bit rocky to pass them around to everyone. So next time, I think I'd make boxes of charcuterie to bring on board instead. Or just put sandwiches in bags. We had a great time, and wouldn't hesitate to go again!

Unfortunately, there were a lot of jet skis that were chasing and scaring away the dolphins. Not cool! The Little Toot crew was very angry about this and really seemed to care for the dolphins' well-being. Because it was such an ordeal trying to see dolphins, they marked our cruise as one that didn't see any and we'll be able to come back on a future dolphin-spotting cruise for free.

Before i continue, I'd like to stress the word AFFORDABLE bc it's really a word that stood out when planning this outing with my family. Unfortunately affordable in this case meant the very bottom of the barrel. The boat itself is very outdated and is in serious need of some TLC. The food was awful. I had a little hope seeing Hispanics on the staff but i guess they have zero input on the food bc the food had no flavor at all and even my kids who will basically eat anything wouldn't eat it. The safest thing there was the fresh fruit and the bread rolls. The rum punch included with the package was pre made and not good at all. We settled for warm wine and the Pepsi was nice and crispy so at least there's that. Of course we get what we pay for but dang this was bad. I thought with fancy pants Starlite being in the family this would be a slightly better experience but lesson learned. Affordable doesn't mean my family gets a break on paying a lot of money for outings, it means we will be slumming it. Also, they took a picture of us and had the nerve to ask $16 for it. No thanks. Thank you to the captain for getting us back to land safely but never again. As my girl Nene says "this ain't the Oscar's" so budget baddies beware!

They also kinda corner you into a group photo when you board the ship, which is then offered for purchase for $25.00! It was buffet style with a very limited selection. Salad with roasted potatoes, chicken & beef AND they ran out of the beef! Dessert was cheesecake or chocolate cake. It all tasted like 3rd class food to me. The cruise is all-inclusive but it's only 2 hours long. You don't make it out of the Bay. Only had time for 2 drinks & then they closed the bar without notice that I heard at least! What erked me the most was a MANDATORY $10.00/pp gratuity! It's NOT a gratuity if it's mandatory! I don't think this is value for money. I definitely would NOT do this over again.
