Before arriving to the dock, Trisha, who has been coordinating with us, and Brett, our captain, contacted us about half an hour ahead of time notifying us that Brett was ready for us at the lake whenever we arrived! Upon arrival, he provided a cooler with ice and water bottles for us to use to store some of our sandwiches and drinks. The boat ride was extremely smooth and he provided much insight into Lake Travis! The boat was equipped with speakers that allowed us to play our favorite songs and the slide & lily pad were a nice added touch! The girls and I thoroughly enjoyed it and the location he chose, Devil's Cove, was great for pictures and swimming. I planned my celebration around that experience. At 11am the day of my 3pm reservation, I got a call saying there was an engine issue and that I was being moved to a "better" boat. When we arrived, it was clear that it wasn't (Shaken not Stirred). It may have been newer or had a bigger engine, but it had a completely different layout and vibe, which was exactly what I booked for. If this had been the option when I booked, I would have chosen a different boat or looked at other rental companies. What disappointed me most was the response. Before I even asked about a refund or discussed any possible solutions, one of the owners immediately said, "You're not getting a refund." At that point, I wasn't asking for one. I just wanted to understand my options. That set a defensive tone instead of a customer-centered one. I completely understand that mechanical issues can happen, and I don't fault a company for something unexpected. What I do expect is transparency, empathy, and some attempt to make it right. There was no sincere apology, no acknowledgment of the disappointment, and no offer to accommodate despite the last-minute change. My friends encouraged me to go ahead so we wouldn't lose the day, and we still had fun, but that was because of the people I was with and Captain Neil, who was professional and excellent. Before we left, the owners asked us not to leave a bad review, which felt disappointing given that the focus could have been on making things right. I left feeling dismissed and like I paid full price for an experience I did not choose. I can't confidently recommend this company based on how this was handled. If you do book, I'd encourage asking up front what happens if the boat you've reserved becomes unavailable and to be prepared for the possibility of last-minute changes.

We had such an amazing time on Lake Travis thanks to Willo and Float On. Everything about the…read moreexperience was extremely streamlined from booking to filling out waivers to navigating to the marina. Willo gave superb instructions on operating and piloting the boat including an overview of relevant customs and laws while out on the water. Our group had six adults and one 2-year old and they had plenty of water safety devices for all ages. On a side note, it was wonderful to see how genuinely excited Willo was about Lake Travis once again having a healthy water level after several dry years. In terms of our experience on the lake, we got excellent advice on where to travel based on our team's interests and after following his directions it felt like we had arrived on our own private lake. We probably only saw a handful of other boats during our 3-hour excursion and that was only in passing. The boat came with a Garmin GPS that made it really easy to retrace our steps. For those wondering, there was excellent cell phone service out on the lake and we were able to use our phone GPS, make calls, and stream music. The boat had some nice integrated speakers with Bluetooth connectivity and we were able to jam out to our own tunes. There was also a cool flotation device attached to the back of the boat called the Aqua Lily Pad which we unrolled after anchoring, we had multiple adults laying on it without sinking into the lake. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and we would highly recommend booking with Float On.

Get to the dam parking lot early as it took about 15 minutes to pay and find parking on a Saturday afternoon. $5 entry fee for each person, not vehicle. Disabled vets get in free. Was about a 20 minute ride to devils cove. Take in the views and add some sunscreen! There was a pretty large cooler available, however we did have a couple of our own too. Driver, Michael, was great to ride with. We ended up parking next to a group throwing around a football that hit our stuff and made a mess. Michael was great to get the other group to stop and get it cleaned up. Bathroom was available for an extra $50. Was like a little pop up tent. Bring a designated phone to play music on the boats speakers. Pretty decent sound, just had some bots docked around us that were obnoxious. Lilly pad was a huge plus to help stay afloat in the water. Fit 6 people comfortably, 10 was a bit tight. Overall a great experience. Pretty big party scene at devils cove during early June.
