When people say, "Let's go to Islands", you immediately think hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and fries...Times haven't changed and it's been quite some time since I set foot in an Islands restaurant. Expectations are pretty much the same. Service is on par with what a good server should do...nothing more, nothing less. The hamburgers were big enough to share. The teriyaki sauce is actually quite good and reminds me of Yoshida's. Fries were fresh-cut and the Islands seasoning is so much better on them, than just plain salt. I have not been to Islands in years (15 years ago?) and came to this location for a quick lunch during the workday with my husband. It's been so long I don't remember how the food tasted before but used to frequent this chain back in high school and college. The decor is still exactly the same as before, though this isn't necessarily a bad thing. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The burger I ordered was delicious and so were the fries. I highly recommend the Kilauea burger, which is jalapeno and & black pepper-crusted. It's flavorful but not spicy, and is one of their recommended menu items. Both the regular fries and the parmesan fries were great. The service was fantastic as well - ordered their bottomless lemonade and the waitress gave me a refill to go (we didn't order any refills during the meal). That was a nice touch. Sometimes, it's the little things you remember. Planning on bringing the whole family back now that we have young kids and it's also a good spot for a quick workday lunch with the hubby. read more

Had a wonderful visit tonight 11/12/24. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were sat quickly. Our server Cheyenne was great! She was attentive and friendly without hovering but was quick with any request made. The young man who brought our food and young lady who cleared our table were so friendly as well. Our food came out swiftly, was hot and looked just as good as the menu photos. Kudos to the cooks!! This was the best Islands visit we have had. Well it's been years since I've been to this Islands Restaurant. I honestly avoided it for so long because I didn't think they had many vegan or vegetarian friendly options. I came here tonight with a friend who likes this place. We ordered drinks to get the party started haha I ordered a rum and coke and daaaang man they made it STRONG. I gave it to my friend because it tasted like pure rum. That's too much for me. I like it to taste sweet and not really taste the rum at all. So I ordered another one and my friend drank my extra strong rum with his beer. He didn't drink them together lol Just he handled my strong drink for me since I'm a pu$$y with the taste of alcohol lol I ordered a "beach bowl" without chicken. And my friend ordered the same thing because he was trying to be polite and not eat meat in front of me since I'm a vegetarian. How nice is that? We both enjoyed the veggies beach bowls. Honestly it was really tasty with teriyaki sauce! My friend is a carnivore and he enjoyed it too. So win for everyone! read more

Disappointed. The food was just disgusting. I wish there was a nicer way to say it but hats just what it is. No flavor, the buns were gross and tasted stale, the fries came way after our burgers, the quesadillas cheese was hard like it had just been sitting there, we ordered light ice on one of our drinks and when someone brought the drinks we asked which one was with the light ice he said "I don't know, but it looks like this one has heavy ice." That doesn't even make sense, but okay? Then we ordered a fries well done and when they brought out the fries we asked which one was well done they said "I think they all are." Uhm okay? We ordered well done burgers and they were all pink inside. The only thing their was at our table that was decent was the guacamole. Luckily, we had a server that was so kind but overall the food is not worth the money! Just gross. We have gone to a different location and the food was the same. Literally worst experience here ever. Never had so many problems. First we ordered Cadillac margaritas. The absolute worst. Looked like water-downed lemonade. Sent them back and the replacements were just as bad. Something was changed in their recipe or they were running out of sweet and sour mix. See photo. Then their salads seem to be half kale now. What the he**. Nobody ever said let's add kale to a salad. Islands is being cheap and trying to stretch their lettuce and save money by adding awful weeds to the salad. This is my local islands, & unfortunately I will never be back. My visit last Saturday was a big disappointment. The service was bad. 3 different waiters waiting on us, slow service, & sub par food. Our appetizer came out after our meal (nachos) & at that point nobody wanted it anymore. Me and my husband have been coming here for years. We went for dinner on 12-26-24. We ordered a chicken quesadilla for appetizer. It came without chicken. Had to send it back. I ordered my hamburger without mayonnaise and got it wrong and had to send it back. I waited more than 30 minutes and finally got my food and had it to go. So about a month ago we decided we were going to go to Islands restaurant for an early dinner. We arrived about 3:30 or so. We went up to the front counter and no one was there to seat us. No bell to ring, so we just waited and waited for someone to help us. Still nothing about 7 minutes of standing there, I decided to call the restaurant. After about 3/4 rings they answered and I said "is there anyone that can seat us, we've been here for over 7 minutes. They sent someone out and we were seated.
