Showed up on time and did a great job in a timely fashion. The only thing is that I wish when I hire companies they can live up to the quote that was given to me. I was quoted $199-250 but ended up paying close to $500.. I understand that it was maybe a harder job then expected or maybe I was misquoted or both but I sent a picture of my safe prior to the appointment. I see a first customer discount offer but that wasn't offered either. Anyways, you guys still get a 5 star from me for getting it done. Edit: you guys misquoted me, and I paid double, but that's not reason enough to offer a 10% new customer discount that's being advertised on your yelp? Your app asked for a 15-20% tip from an inflated $450 charge.. do you realize that's a $90 tip to total $540 from an original quote of $199-$250. I ordered two smart locks from Amazon. I attempted to install one of the locks, but my original contractor didn't drill the holes to standard... I needed a professional. I emailed Isle Locksmith and got in touch with Shai (owner of the company) pretty quickly. Shai is a super cool guy. Very chill. Very professional, and he comes with a lot of the aloha spirit. Upon Shai's arrival to my home, he took a quick look and informed me of the work that he was about to preform and if I had any questions. Shai went to work and even made security suggestions. When it's your birthday, all you really care about is having a good time....that is until you get locked out of your apartment. To be honest, isle locksmith wasn't my first choice of who to call. I actually called another company beforehand and their customer service wasn't that great. Then I called Isle locksmith and they immediately answered my call and took down my information. Within 30 minutes, Danny arrived to the rescue. It took couple tries but Danny was able to get me into my apartment and I was so relieved. My husband unknowingly took his keys in the water at the beach, the fob stopped working--alarm wouldn't go off after manually opening the door with key and key wouldn't start ignition. Reached out to a few locksmiths via yelp and Isle Locksmith responded the fastest with the most affordable rate (didn't mention travel/ delivery fee). The car was in Kailua, Shai responded via yelp giving me 2 appointment options 9am or 11am. It was 720am when I got back to him and picked the 9am appt time in which he was very punctual. Shai was friendly and informative, explained everything he did and gave me options. He tried to work quickly since I had my 2 kids with me. The whole process took less than an hour. I spent about $380 inc tax: -a new fob with alarm for $250 -an extra transponder key $75 (50% off second key special, norm $150) -Travel service fee of $40 -Another extra key to open the doors if he lock keys inside, but won't start ignition & can take in water with you lol (was nice enough to throw it in free with the set). In the end i wish I had seen the "call for 10% off" special they were promoting, could've saved $30+ (with 2 kids I'll take any savings I can get).. I'd say it was worth the convenience and I definitely recommend Isle Locksmith if you want expedient & friendly service at affordable rates. I didn't need to purchase the extra $75 key, but figured it was a good deal at 50% off & was worth it if something like this happens again.. They take cash and credit/ debt card--available 24 hours a day. Side note: Hopefully I never need to use this kind of service again, however another business--Gem Keys just responded to my yelp inquiry and quoted $200 for a transponder key and a fob key with alarm.. We had lost our only key to our 2004 Nissan Titan and called Shai (the owner) to have our car rekeyed. When my wife messaged him he quickly responded back, gave us a solid quote, was up front with fees and even gave us a reasonable window of time to service us. Minutes before he arrived at our house (what do you know) we found the key. However since he made the trek all the way out to our house we asked if he could cut and program a 2nd key for us. To be honest I paid a little more than I wanted for a 2nd key but Shai was such a professional...he was honest, upfront, personable, informative and understanding. When I told him initially when he arrived that I found our keys, he didn't snap or become condescending, he asked if we needed anything else and if not he was going to another call. I was totally expecting him to lose it or be upset (and if he did, he did not show any signs of it) and so I sort of braced myself but nope, he was completely composed. That reaction alone is why I decided that I needed to support this small, local business and not save a few dollars and go have a 2nd key cut at a bigger store.
