Frankie's Review - 3/5…read more While in town, we decided to visit Frankie's after it was recommended to me by my boss, and this time I had my husband and 12-year-old son with me. Overall, it was a nice way to spend time together as a family and gave us something fun to do during our visit. Frankie's offers a good variety of attractions, and my son especially enjoyed the rides, including the claw, roller coaster, and zero gravity experience. We also played putt-putt golf, which was enjoyable, though I personally found the course a bit less challenging than similar places I've visited before. The road course was also on the shorter side, but still fun for what it offered. One thing I would note is that the pricing felt a bit high, particularly for the arcade games and rides, especially considering some of the experiences are fairly brief. We also found the pizza to be a little overpriced, so we chose other food options as well as their burger and Philly cheesesteak. Unfortunately, one part of the experience that stood out in a less positive way was the customer service around some of the attractions. Several of the attendants seemed very nonchalant and disengaged, almost as if they were not very happy to be there. That kind of energy can affect the overall atmosphere and, for me, made it less likely that I would return or recommend it. We also had to wait for attendants to assist with some of the more interactive 3D-style games, which interrupted the flow of the experience. That being said, one of my personal favorites ended up being the carnival 3D shooting game, even though we did have to wait for an attendant before we could play. Once we got on, it was definitely one of the more enjoyable parts of the visit for me. On the positive side, it was not crowded during our visit, which made the experience much more relaxed and enjoyable. I especially enjoyed spending time in the arcade with my family, and that ended up being one of the highlights of our visit. I also want to mention our experience in the bar area with Olivia Jackson, who provided such warm and pleasant service. She was courteous, attentive, and truly showed genuine Southern hospitality. Her kindness and professionalism made us want to stay longer, and we ended up enjoying our food and family time even more because of her. She was definitely one of the bright spots of our visit. Overall, while I have visited similar entertainment venues that I personally enjoyed more, Frankie's still provided a decent family outing and a different experience while we were in town. I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars.

Well I can say that ate and played more games than drank. The food here was surprisingly really good. I ate at the Chill Lounge Bar area and the bartender provided such amazing service this night. It's too bad I cannot remember this man's name but he was awesome. My friend and I ordered chicken quesadillas, French fries, and a slice of pizza. The bartender told us the food would be really good, but of course we expect some bias. He wasn't wrong! And the portions are pretty large btw. We could have shared the quesadillas. We both took half of them home and shared the fries. Everything was fresh and hot and I will certainly return with a group. Of course the games were a blast. Had an amazing time with ALL ADULTS btw playing laser tag and go karts lol we were like big kids again. Laser tag was so much fun. As soon as they split us up into teams and let us into the area, it was like kids on a playground again. Overall, it was an awesome time. I'd even suggest team-building activities for corporate here if possible.

With temperatures soaring, it felt like the perfect place to spend the afternoon, especially knowing the kids could cool off in the park's interactive water features. From the moment we arrived, it was clear why Gipson Play Plaza has quickly become one of Raleigh's most beloved public spaces. Spanning 18.5 acres, it's the largest adventure playground in the Southeast, thoughtfully designed with climbing towers, imaginative play spaces, gardens, public art, and sweeping views of the Raleigh skyline. Parking was plentiful, making it easy to start exploring. Our first stop was the beautifully restored House of Many Porches Market, where you'll find snacks, cold drinks, indoor restrooms, and a welcome escape from the summer heat before heading back outside for more adventure. The children loved moving from one area to the next: running through the water play features, climbing, exploring, and discovering something new around nearly every corner. One of the most memorable moments of our visit was feeding the fish, a quiet pause that became an unexpected highlight amid all the excitement. One thing to note is that on especially hot days, some of the metal slides may be temporarily closed for safety. While completely understandable, it can be a little disappointing for children eager to experience every part of the playground. If I could change one thing, it would simply be adding more traditional swings on the playground. That's purely personal preference, though, and certainly didn't take away from what is an incredibly well-designed space. Gipson Play Plaza is more than just a playground: it's a place where families can comfortably spend an entire afternoon. Between the thoughtful amenities, imaginative design, and variety of activities, it's easy to understand why it's become a destination for both locals and visitors alike. Despite the summer heat, we had a wonderful time, and I can already picture how beautiful it will be to return on a crisp fall morning.

Daniel and Taylor were our guides and they were wonderful and patient with the gazillion questions our grandkids had. They were very professional even when my husband tried to do more than he should have and they had to reprimand him (he had been zipling on the "Green Bull" in Puerto Rico so he thought he could push the limits). The grandkids loved it and said it was their favorite part of the trip we were on. Anyways we will definitely be back to try the many other adventures they have. If you decide to go, make sure to ask for Daniel and Taylor!

My answer came with Ethan. Nominally he was our referee and babysitter. But in reality... in reality he was our gunnery sergeant; our centurion from days of yore! He filled our air, fixed our masks, and marched us off to chow! He taught us the ways of paintball and we taught him a little about life. A member of my communal living space encouraged him to incorporate a slogan of his own design into his everyday work script: "have an extreme day". How novel! Yes Ethan. Yes.

Urban Air.. more like Urban Utopia…read more This Urban Air was the best in all of the trampoline parks I have ever been to. Firstly, the ball pit was an absolute BLAST. You could jump in there for at least 300 times and still want to jump in. Next.. The Lifeguards, the lifeguards were super nice and told me how to use specific attractions. In fact me and my friend invited a lifeguard to jump with us and we all had a great time. Then.. there was the Trampolines, there are trampolines with CRAZY jump force. You jump.. You're basically Avatar. I had a good time with the trampolines. Finally.. The Price, the price was pretty solid. For me and my brother, it was probably at least $22.14 (I don't want to get anyone mad). Overall, 5 Stars. Go here like if your life depends on it.. JK but do recommend going here

After I bought the tickets a friend told me that she did not have to pay to get in when she brought her kids. So I asked the lady checking us in about it and the manager overheard and said that she was happy to refund my money because the website is confusing and if I was not going to play I did not have to pay. That was very kind of her because they had already let me in on the ticket and she could've just told me "well next time you know. " She also allowed me to keep my wristband and told me that if I wanted to play today to go ahead and do so. So.... shout out to CiCi the manager on 14 July, 2026 for being attentive to her customers and going above and beyond. Her kindness has not gone unnoticed.
