Parking is limited but seldom full. Service was quick. I got the Black Tonkotsu Ramen per my server's recommendation and it was super satisfying. Issho Ramen came up in a Yelp search the other day when I was needing a quick lunch spot close to my work. They had a great online menu and their website was easy to maneuver through. Preparation was very quick and was told 15 minutes. I walked in the door at the exact ETA given and was pleasantly surprised all was ready to go. The transaction was extremely smooth, to say the least. Now for the important part, the food. I had the Chicken Katsu Curry. It was nicely assembled, so the chicken could remain crispy until consumption. The curry was tasty and a generous amount of chicken was also very tasty. This spot have potentials for sure! And there arent many ramen spot in Issaquah. Service was great; server was very pleasant and the food came out in timely manner and i think its reasonably priced as well. The foods has potentials and deff should be develop further. What we got: Black Tonkotsu Ramen (3/5) I think it needs to be more rich and garlicy; need that black garlic punch. I think its either the tonkotsu broth is too light or the "tare" is too weak. This ramen could pass as a regular tonkotsu ramen. Tempura udon (2.5/5) The dish as a whole looks great. The tempura was oke; its your usual tempuras you can get anywhere else. The udon was mehhh; need to work on for sure. Its very basic and at one point it feels like we are eating instant udon noodle soup. Maybe develop the broth further for a deeper flavor and more umami. Chicken Kaarage (3/5) We have a mix feeling about this one; it looks good for sure; but i think the chicken needs more flavor. Its very basic. Yakitori Chicken (3.5/5) For what it is; it has good flavor. Did not expect it to be ground chicken tho; i thought it would be chicken pieces. Flavor was not bad. Overall Its a very Well priced menu and good service. I think the food have plenty of room for improvements and they have the potential to be really good. I didn't find the broth to be as seasoned or flavorful as I'm used to. It was very clear tasting, but not as rich as some I've tried. We noticed this newly opened ramen place while driving in the area last week and came to try it over the weekend. We ordered a chicken katsu curry and the classic tonkotsu ramen. The curry had actual potato and carrot chunks in it and the chicken katsu was crispy and the egg was beautifully done. We only wished there was a little more curry sauce in the dish. Solid Ramen shop with a wide selection of Ramen flavors, like black garlic, and green king (pesto!). Nothing to write home about but good to have in the community and I look forward to coming back periodically. Service is efficient and friendly. This place gets a 2.5 star(rounded up because of positive service experience). Love the decor that they have. Black ramen - broth is okay at best. There are definitely better ramen places around like Jinya. Mentaiko cream udon [DO NOT ORDER THIS]- this is possibly one of the most awful item I've ever tasted at a restaurant. It straight up tasted like mayo mixed in udon. I didn't eat more than one bite of this dish(more on this story below). Chicken katsu curry udon - this was good but it just tasted like the block curry you get at the grocery store. The server came by after noticing I haven't touched the Mataiko udon. After finding out I didn't like the dish, she asked me to choose something else on the menu and I ended up with the curry udon. Overall service was 10/10! This is still a new restaurant so maybe there are still some quirks to iron out with their recipes. read more

A relatively new place in a small strip mall off the East Lk Sammamish Parkway. Restaurant itself is somewhat small. I felt a bit confined. We ordered takoyaki, spicy tonkotsu ramen for my self and wife had beef udon. I was disappointed. My spicy tonkotsu was not at all spicy. Noodles were cooked OK, but it seemed to me that toppings were inadequate. I thought takoyaki did not deliver the ingredients reflective of the price, meaning very little octopus. My wife did enjoy her udon, but she's never critical as I am re Japanese food. Ha! There is not much in their ordering and delivery process to rate their service level. They seemed friendly. As with traditional Japanese style, the sliced pork is meant to be soaked in the soup first--warm, tender, and melting in your mouth. The curry chicken cutlet is excellent as well. The Japanese curry is mild rather than spicy, with a smooth, well-balanced flavor. The chicken cutlet is crispy, and the fried egg is soft and silky. There's a weird taste in the watery pork-based soup broth that is hard to describe... The noodles is pretty standard affair and nothing interesting. The half boiled egg was cooked ok, however seems to be marinated in soy sauce for way too long. Rice bowl portion was too small even for my wife's small appetite. Lacks color / green and looked unappetizing. Price was ok but can't make up the poor quality. Note about the first two reviews for this restaurant: One of them had a picture of udon but commented the ramen tasted great and gave it 5 stars. 2 lifetime reviews. I really wanted to love this place. Issho Ramen just had their grand opening, the interior is nice, and the server was genuinely kind and attentive. I came in excited for a great ramen experience -- unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. I don't like leaving negative reviews, and I know no restaurant is perfect -- but this one genuinely missed the mark. We ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen and black tonkotsu ramen. Both were honestly some of the worst ramen I've had. The pork belly came out cold, the broth lacked depth and flavor, and the noodles were overcooked and mushy. I ended up sending back the spicy tonkotsu because I couldn't finish it. I also tried the katsu curry. I finished the katsu curry because I had nothing all day --but the curry tasted like instant curry, and the katsu was flavorless and seemed frozen rather than fresh. I'm leaving this review not to be an a-hole, but as constructive criticism. It's a shame because the space is nice and the staff is friendly, but the food just isn't there yet -- it's actually very far behind. I truly wanted this restaurant to be good, but based on this visit, the food was simply bad. I hope they improve. read more

The broth is so well balanced and tastes better than places akin to Menya Musashi and Kizuki (my personal opinon).
