I had two very expensive Persian rugs that needed cleaning. After reading the stellar reviews, I decided to start out with one rug. The proprietor estimated a 2 week turnaround. When 3 1/2 weeks passed and still no rug I became concerned, needless to say. A friend was even whispering that perhaps they'd lost the rug. Eventually the call came in that my rug was ready. When I went to pick it up they apologized profusely, saying several workers were out sick, delaying my order. And to make amends, though not asked for, they comped the cleaning - no charge! I was stunned. Needless to say I took the other rug in to be cleaned and they got it done in a week! I love the large family room rug because it magically looks just a little different almost very time I walk into the room, depending on the exterior light. It's a treat each morning I come upstairs to see what "mood" it will present. But the amazingly soft and smooth beauty next to the bed is also a treat each time my bare feet slide across it. Ogi did a wonderful job bringing a few of our selections to try out in our space and even added a few to consider that he picked based on our descriptions of our home and the rugs we thought would work. Our dark red Turkish hall runner needed cleaning and fringe repair. Greeted by Ogi T (owner) and an associate. Quite an out going and friendly guy. Rolled out the runner, Ogi inspected it, told him I wanted it cleaned and the fringe at one end repaired. No problem. Just fair warning, this place smells like mothballs. I want to put that out there before anything else because it surprised me as I walked into the room. That first step aside, this place is AMAZING. The place is ginormous, a great big open space with a selection wall to wall and stacked on the floor. Everywhere you look there are beautifully made pieces of art laid out or hanging. I was bouncing around like a pin ball looking at this piece and that piece trying to look at it all. I think they have one that can fill most people's whole living room. They said it took 4 year to make and it was impeccable. The detail on the patterns were exquisite. I'll try to make sure to load the video of it. It's a bit too big for our space but WOW! I went to Istanbul Rug to see if they could repair a growing hole in a small rug I bought in India. The carpet is a bit rustic, but it has deep sentimental value to me, and I've had it for 25 years. Istanbul Rug explained my options, which were to re-weave the entire section (very expensive) or try to patch the area. I chose the latter, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I just knew I wasn't ready to give up on the carpet. Within a few weeks, they had repaired and cleaned the carpet, and I can't believe how great it looks! It was so much better than I anticipated, especially since I went with the less expensive approach. They are funny and of course trying to make a sale but they genuinely care about getting you the rug that's best for you. They came to deliver our rug and brought three other rugs that we liked, just so we could see them in our home.
