This review is almost a year late, but I still absolutely LOVE my carpet as much as Day 1. I had to replace my bedroom carpet and knowing nothing about design or carpeting Nicole helped me find exactly what I wanted. I had a very specific idea and Nicole listened to what I was trying to describe and only showed me samples that matched what I wanted. I have cats and she made sure the padding was pet proof and the carpet wouldn't stain and was easy to clean. Every friend that steps in my room audibly sighs or comments on how soft, fluffy and cushiony it is. They all are so jealous. The color is just perfect and has survived almost a year of the cats, including a hairball within 1 hr of installation. I am so happy with my carpet and am very thankful to Nicole for finding exactly what I had been dreaming of! Highly recommend this store, all the ladies who were there each visit were knowledgable and very helpful. You wont be disappointed. I LOVE my carpet from here! I had a large downstairs living room type room that needed to be covered and didn't know where to start because the room was kind of uninviting. Debbie the owner helped ask me a lot of questions about how I want to use the space and looked at pictures of it and asked about colors, and came up with the PERFECT carpet that totally changed the whole room. The carpet is so nice, the room feel so good and different now, and it never would have occurred to me to even consider the carpet we ended up with. I have been getting my flooring (carpet, hardwood and laminate) from ADC for at least 10 years. ADC is the best place to purchase all of the above. Their installation services are excellent. I read the review below re: the women that work here, and was shocked. They must have accidentally commented on the wrong business. The women here are AMAZING! They are so helpful, down to earth and friendly. They make my job so easy. I come in with a vague idea of what I am looking for, and they immediately pull out several options that are all great. All I have to do is pick one. The women are so considerate. I can tell them what my budget is, and they are always able to find me something I love, that also fits in my budget (which is often quite small). I rarely write reviews but I wanted to share what a great experience we had working with Nicole, Mary and the team at ADC for our new carpets! The shop is small and you would't know it was there unless you were directed to it and we were, by our painter. The shop has an amazing array of great, high quality product for both carpet and area rugs and is in fact, used a lot by interior designers. We found the staff to be helpful, "hands on" and very responsive and in addition, the product and price were excellent. We saw the same carpet at two other local places and the pricing was nearly twice what ADC offered us. Now it did help that the one that we actually liked best was one that they keep in stock which helped keep the pricing low but still...nearly twice?? We also felt that their contract installation guy did a great job and it went very smoothly and quickly. Will definitely use again for rugs and carpets. read more

I haven't written many Yelp reviews but felt so strongly about my experience with Architectural Designs that I felt I needed to write them a review. As part of our remodel, we needed to replace the carpets in 5 bedrooms. I originally went to a big name carpet store but wasn't that impressed by the service, so I researched other places and found Architectural Designs. From the first minute I walked in there, I was greeted cheerfully and the staff spent over an hour with me figuring out what my options were based on my preference for something durable and easy to maintain with three children. Samples were ordered, arrived in a timely manner and after much hemming and hawing, my husband and I picked out a carpet that we really liked. Architectural Designs has the same prices as other stores, but their service is superior to any I have ever experienced! Only two rooms were ready for carpeting. Pretty much from the get go I didn't like the carpet....it was lighter than I thought it would be and seemed like it was going to show everything, not to mention it made my son's room look like a doctor's office! After deliberating for a bit, my husband and I decided to cut our losses and choose a different carpet. I feel SO lucky that I was working with Architectural Designs. They immediately set to work trying to minimize the cost to us. Debbie, the owner, used every resource, favor, and connection to try to get the restocking fee waived (and ultimately split it with us) and were so patient and understanding about our desire to change carpets. Debbie was adamant about minimizing the cost to us saying repeatedly "we want you to love your carpet!". Every step of the way, they have been supportive and helpful, and we now have newly installed carpet that we absolutely love. I am normally not a high maintenance person, so deciding to change the carpet was huge for me and made me feel very uncomfortable. But everyone at Architectural Designs totally put me at ease and again, made me feel comfortable with my decision because they really DO want you to love your carpet especially since it is something you will have to live with for years. I have no doubt that had I gone to another carpet place I would not have gotten this kind of service. The installers have been efficient and polite, and moved some very large heavy furniture to install the carpet in our master bedroom. I couldn't be more pleased with Architectural Designs and have already referred several of my friends to them. If you need new carpet, go to Architectural Designs and you will not be disappointed! read more

We had a very tight window in which to re-carpet our newly remodeled master bedroom and closet. Architectural Design folks not only helped us with a quick decision on materials, but had the carpet rushed from the mill in LA. The first roll of carpet came damaged, which sent us into a panic, but they had replacement carpet 'hot rushed' as well. They requested that their installer pick it up at the crack of dawn at it's arrival spot in the bay area and it was completely installed before noon on a Saturday morning keeping our timeline intact.
