If I can give 0 star i would overpriced and bad after service. we bought $300 glasses for my daughter and go back for repair and they ask another $105 for repair when they sell them he was telling us that glass has no glue on it so it's easy to fix and that's why it's expensive. and then we went there for ordering broken parts he said they have to glue them and it needs special service and thats going to be another $105 dollars also we bought emergency glasses since her old one got broke so i ask cheapest one he showed me $39 frames and soon as my daughter pick one he said "Oh that actually is $59 frame,you have very good eye for a picking design!" and charge extra $20 dollars and another $45 for eye check up since it;s been a year so total we spend $170 for CHEAP glasses I been going back cuz it was our first optometric center but we had enough so please check out few more different places when you buy your glasses I learn my lesson read more

When I asked him about it and offered to give him my bag so I could be left alone, he just walked away and sent a different person to continue following me!? I came in for an eye exam. They have great service from the moment you walk in the door. I didn't have an appointment but they saw me very quickly. Maybe it's because I went in on a Friday afternoon? Idk. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. The technicians did whatever exams are the usual and then one of the doctors took me in and did the rest. They were all super helpful. Best optometrist I've been to in a WHILE. Definitely recommend. As far as far as parking they have a private lot out front. read more

The previous reviewer is incorrect. The exams are NOT free but discounted upon an eyeglass purchase. I recently bought eyeglasses so I know. I was referred there by a friend who has been there several times as well and never was the exam free. It is actually illegal to provide free exams in the state of California. You can google the Board of Optometry for the state of CA and easily find out that my statement is correct. If you did indeed get a free exam I would not advertise it. I recommend this place for their large selection of frames, including the high end Swissflex and Kawasaki. They also have great customer service. After my visit I was reading a very detailed, bad Yelp review about Italee Optometrics and the employee called out was Chris Park. It was then, I realized I was also assisted by Chris Park when purchasing my glasses, but did not experience any of the issues mentioned. I got my glasses at italee and was able to pick up my order fairly quickly. The problem is that the eyeglass pads were put in upside down! Since I live far from italee, I went to another place to have them adjusted. That's where I was informed the eyeglass pads were placed upside down. After l wear the glasses for a long time, I get a headache because the glasses become very heavy. I've never had this problem before with my prescription being filled at other places. It's probably the "glass" material they use for the lenses, as the frame itself is of a light material. For the price I paid for the glasses, I would expect better quality of service. Best glasses shop in the US! My fiancee loves Swissflex glasses and has been wearing them for years, so when her current pair broke we decided to stop by the shop during our trip to LA. We gave the store a call and they said they could even ask the lab to expedite our glasses and get them done the same day if we got there early in the afternoon. Kevin was extremely friendly and helpful and offered to let my fiancee test out glasses in the new prescription she got from another store which we speculated was too high for her eyes, and since we asked Italee to ship us the glasses he made sure they were adjusted to fit her face ahead of time. The glasses were also mailed to us in excellent condition. My fiancee really likes the selection of frames there as well, so we will definitely be coming back!! read more

I got high-end glasses and when I picked them up, they fit PERFECTLY. I came here with my friend to help her choose glasses. She had a particular style in mind and certain preference. When we got there we were greeted immediately but then followed around the place. The employee kept watching us and pacing behind us making us feel pressured. I could already tell my friend was starting to get anxious and she has this thing where she doesn't like to be followed around in a store because it makes her extremely uncomfortable. Because she had an idea in mind of what glasses she wanted her choices in the store were very limited but she did manage to find two that she sort of liked. We proceeded to discuss whether or not she should get one of the two or keep looking. I told her I knew there was another place we could check as well but she was a bit hesitant and she told me it's because of the employee who has been following us. She knew that if we didn't pick something there then he would get mad. Judging from all the pacing he was doing he was clearly getting impatient with us so she started to pick up the glasses again but before she could the employee confronted her and asked her what she was doing in a really annoyed voice. He then told her to try more glasses on. My friend explained that she was debating on two of them but that only made him even more upset so as soon as he walked a few feet away from us we left. The reason I insisted that she try another place was because she didn't seem 100% committed to the glasses at the store and with the high price tag I thought that she should measure her options more carefully. Throwing around $340 for glasses plus another $200 for lenses you "sort of" like is careless. We will not be coming back here. Maybe the other people working here are different but this one in particular completely ruined the experience for us. You just lost a customer. read more

This place is great! I went there 2 years ago with my previous prescription from an outside doctor. I can't remember the name of my salesperson, but he was terrific! I dropped off 2 pairs of the Kawasaki frames I had purchased at one of those hoity-toity Beverly Hills stores AT ALMOST TWICE THE PRICE Italee charges! I also discovered that the Beverly Hills store sends their Kawaski frames to Italee for lenses because Italee is one of a very, very few optic companies (I couldn't find any in the area) that is able to work on that line of glasses. Boy, was I angry with the B.H. store & with myself for going there. Anyway, the service, lens work, and prices at Italee were outstanding! So I took the frames back a month or two ago with my new prescription. This time I worked with Thomas, who was magnificent! He was patient, helpful, and a genuinely nice person. Because of the customer service I received from him (although I have always found the store staff to be most courteous), I decided to buy a new pair of SwissFlex frames from Italee. (They have many smart-looking frames in addition to the two lines I have mentioned.) The price was good and Thomas was again helpful (and right!) when I asked for his opinion on color. I will return to Italee in 2 years with my new prescription, and two years after that, and every time I get a new prescription from my doctor. And I will ask for Thomas. I recommend him, and the store, highly. I only wish I had found them sooner! read more

I had been a customer here for years, but no longer. The customer service is lacking and I will be moving on to find a more convenient and efficient option for an eye exam. I wear hard contacts, and called in over a week ago to confirm how long I should take them out for before coming in for a check-up. I was told a week. I also asked about appointments, and they said to just come in, no problem. (They do not take appointments). So I wore my glasses all week and came in on Saturday. An older man, whose name I believe was Thomas, greeted me and I told him I needed an eye exam so he asked me to take a seat and fill out a quick form, which I did. He then took the form from me and said to hang on. I was waiting for several minutes when I got up and asked another associate how long the wait would be as there were a lot of customers in the store, but none of them seemed to be getting eye exams--just shopping for frames or picking up lenses. It was only then that I was told that the doctor was out to lunch and wouldn't be back for another half hour (!!!). Not only that, but there were three patients ahead of me in line, waiting to see her. Basically it would be at least another hour before my eye exam. It would have been helpful to know this walking in, or at least have some sort of idea that this is their standard operating procedure. Their lack of communication in this regard was incredibly frustrating. When I expressed my frustration about this, the associate brought it to Thomas' attention who said, 'well too bad, she'll just have to wait', in Korean to him, looking away from me instead of addressing me directly, which I found a bit condescending--I guess he didn't think I understood him, but I did, loud and clear. Don't worry Thomas, I won't be waiting for an eye exam at Italee ever again. read more

My family has been coming here for about 28 yrs or so. I visited the main location in the middle of Korea Town on Vermont. I think they have 2 retail locations (one located in the Korea Town Plaza) They have a HUGE selection of designer frames but I came here in search of a hard to find brand called Face a Face which is a super comfortable French brand. It can get a little pricey but you get exactly what you want. My dad came with me this time and the manager helped us. They are never pushy and they let you take your time to try on as many pairs of frames as you want. You don't need an appointment to get your eyes examined either. The staff speaks both English and Korean (Konglish for me) and you might be a little bit intimidated when you first walk in but the staff is very nice and attentive to everyone. True that they are a fairly large optical center with many different posh designer glasses. Their selection is huge. I would agree that they do cater to the Koreans more as their English speaking may not be the best. The only non-Korean people I have seen being helped are those accompanied by a Korean. I have not been impressed by some of the staff here as I bought some Masunaga glasses and the man assured me I would get the best deal in K-town about a year ago. After I had paid I went to the market and in passing stopped by another optical center that beat the deal by $40. So when I return I told the man I had found the glasses with prescription for cheaper but he pretty much didn't give two cacas. Went in there again today for another pair of Masunagas and this other male staff seemed clueless and I even asked my friend, "does he even work here?" There was a certain style I was looking for so he went to look it up in the database for their other branches and said there were none. However, I ended up finding it in their Koreatown Plaza branch... what the jack. Service here is not the greatest. If you choose to buy never pay sticker price as you can ask what the best deal is and they'll come back with a lower offer. Shop around before you swipe your card here. There are many other optical shops that carry posh name brands that might not be as big but still have what you are looking for maybe even cheaper or in my case exactly what I was looking for. read more

I really love this place! Very affordable and super high-tech eye exams that are done quick without any hassle. Then an amazing selection of high-end frames - no cheepies here! Bad experience. It's second time here. First time, they made a mistake and told me new lense will be put in. Found out year later, all they did was grind the corner and bend my $1,000 frame to fit it. On 8/15/17, I've decided to give them a second chance. It will be for sure to be ready by 8/18. No calls! Called 8/19 morning, said they decided to close early because of lack of customers. Now, the sales person told me, they made a another mistake so they need to fix it and will not be ready until next week. MISTAKE AFTER MISTAKE, EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. Angel helped me, he was very efficient and courteous. I ordered progressive lenses ( $ 250 savings from same place in Beverly Hills) which should be ready in a couple of days. I wanted to like this place as it was recommended to me by a friend. However, I went there to get my glasses and my contact lenses done. First they quoted me a certain price over the phone. Then, when I arrived they said they did not have that price but I had already seen the doctor so I went ahead with it because they promised me a discount when I got my contacts done. But then when I went to pay for them, they denied that they ever said that. They then said it must have been a misunderstand and said they would give me a discount on my glasses. I just called, and no discount even though I've had both my lenses and my doctors appointment there. And all along the way their attitude has been extremely condescending. A real bait and switch. The only good thing i can say for them is that the doctor there was very nice and seemed pretty competent. read more
