We've driven past this restaurant countless times and finally decided to give it a try for my son's birthday, as he specifically requested Italian. I am so thrilled we did! We arrived with a party of eight, and though the dining room was bustling (in the best way possible), they impressively seated us in just 10 minutes despite quoting a 25-minute wait. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy; even with the close quarters, the staff navigated the room flawlessly. We started with warm bread served with olive oil and balsamic. The kids' menu had wonderful options, while the main menu featured all the classic Italian favorites. I ordered the Chicken Piccata and savored every single bite! The staff went above and beyond by surprising my son with a slice of chocolate cake and a candle--a sweet memory he will cherish. Our waitress, Sierra, provided phenomenal service with a warm smile, ensuring our drinks were never empty. Adding a wonderful personal touch, Chef Jay came out to greet us and made us feel right at home. While the rest of my family enjoyed dessert, I was completely stuffed. Amazingly, as we were leaving, Chef Jay handed me a slice of peanut butter pie to take home, completely on the house! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. My family eats at this place atleast once a week, and we loved them. So much that they know our order and our name. Tonight I decided to go in and place my order. My pasta is a $30 pasta alone. After we ordered, i heard the cooks scream out "fucking Larry!" We've never met these people before. It made me very nervous, and I asked for my money back and left. I can't go back. Ordered to-go through the phone and it was ready in 25 minutes like they said when my partner picked it up. Ordered a 14 inch medium size pizza ($16.99 base price) and customized it to have bell peppers, garlic, basil, and sausage. Pizza already comes with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese supposedly. The Kid that took my order didn't know much about the cost and the food/menu itself so he had told me it was unlimited standard toppings for the pizza, but per the menu it's $2.25-$2.75 per topping! It's ridiculous that they would charge that much to add a topping as simple as garlic. At least on Wednesdays they offer a special to get the medium pizza with three toppings for $16.99. Other than that the pizza itself was good and the dough was crispy. Still think the Dough House Pizza Co. has the best dough flavor in town. Sausage was good, had a little kick. Also had the garlic bread appetizer ($4.95), which was very crunchy, but decent flavor. Served with marinara sauce. Apparently it's homemade bread. I would skip this appetizer next time. For entrées had the lasagna napolitana and eggplant rollatini (served over cheese ravioli) ($18.95 each). They were both good and I would order these again. Containers were wrapped with Saran Wrap since apparently the lid didn't fit on perfectly. Came with 3 small pieces of bread. The lasagna napolitana came with an abundance of sauce-sauce had a tinge of spiciness. Desserts were available (cheesecake, brownie, etc)- they are not made in house. read more

Actually my favorite place that's local! They have the best pizza in Wilmington, great salads, amazing appetizers . When they've been confused on an order they immediately call and ask for clarification rather than assuming! Clean and nice on the inside as well! Definitely recommend!! read more

Fantastic! Quaint (adorably decorated place), but BIG flavor. I tried the spaghetti with meatballs and a pepperoni pizza. (7.8) The marinara sauce wasn't too acidic, just great flavor and perfect with the all beef meatballs which the consistency is just right on. Pasta cooked perfectly. I thought it was supposed to come with bread but I was never served any. I'll ask next time. The pizza!! My new fave. Great undercarriage but it lacks any crunch. The rest makes up for it. The actual crust has crunch. Tasty cheese and sauce. Not greasy. Could have more flavorful/different pepperoni but these are okay. I prefer the little cups. The service was a bit distracted at first but very friendly and ended on a good note. They have a take out counter when you walk in but if you're dining in, don't order there. This review is based only on IB pizza to go. Pizza to go needs to be ordered special to avoid being too flaccid and soft in the center. I have been told the boxing of the pizza causes condensation which takes the crisp out of the center of the pie. (talk to your order taker for possible solutions) The taste is excellent!! The outside perimeter of the crust is excellent. Might be best to enjoy your pizza eating in. read more

It's a small place with pizza and pasta dishes. They don't have a liquor license yet so disappointed I could not get a.glass of wine with my meal. The waitstaff was pleasent and quick. I got the caprese salad which was ok. Husband had a pasta dish which was average, nothing outstanding. I probably wouldn't go back , but I would get carry out sometime. So many other items on the menu we would like to try. The server was excellent and helped us make great choices. Nice bunch of people there. Dinning environment is good. Some of the main dishes are good unless main chef isn't there. The pizza it's like chucky cheese pizza the day we had it but both owners weren't there so not sure if it's any better. We are from NY and there are a lot better places for NY style pizza. Just ordered a pizza after reading the reviews and sorry to say, not very impressed. I had extra toppings put on it, pepperoni, not worth the price, barely had any on the pizza. I will be honest and say that the pizza is worth the trip. Priced very reasonably, it is served hot which is my main requirement. As for the veal parm, there's a whole lot left to be desired. For $17 you would expect a piece of veal bigger than 2 silver dollars. The sauce was tasteless, even after dousing with the flaked peppers and cheap parmesan. The linguine was overcooked and not hot. Our server had to handle the entire place, so she was overworked but attentive. Don't think I'll order anything but pizza from now on. read more
