As my daughter says, "It was just mid." Service was great. So were the Honey Drizzled Croissants. The Potato skins were good. My lightly breaded shrimp - not so good. Wanted to take pics of menu as there weren't any when we looked here on Yelp.

This is my family's favorite restaurant in Wilmington! We visit very frequently. We love the shrimp and grits, chicken tenders, and the Mahi sandwich was great! We will be back!

Had lunch with some friends. We were told it would be fifteen minutes but in less than two minutes we were seated. Our waitress, Clarissa was friendly and attentive. I had the chicken salad croissant. $10.99 This is my regular dish I always get. It came with a side and I picked the coleslaw. My sandwich was tasty but I was disappointed in the coleslaw. it was very wet and vinegary. My friends had the chicken salad and the Texas burger with bread. Both enjoyed their meals. We like Rucker Johns and will be back. 6/24/22

Three of us had lunch recently. It was our first visit. We were out shopping and came upon the place, so we decided to try it out. It's very large inside and it looked dated. We had excellent service by our young waitress. I'm sorry that I don't recall her name. I ordered the Little Italian Flatbread, which had roasted red peppers, Italian sausage, mozzarella and a marinara sauce. For a flatbread, it was quite tasty. It could have used more sausage, as the pieces were pretty small. The other two items that were ordered were the Texas burger, no bun and fully loaded with all sorts of goodies; and the seared tuna salad with a raspberry dressing. My friends were very happy with their food. The tuna looked great! Overall, we were happy with our food.

Always good food and service. Love the potato skins, burgers and the calamari. Eat there often because it is consistently good.

Depending if your dine in or carry out! Most restaurants give small portions for carry out- vs- eat in but still charge $$$ amounts.

You walk into Fish Bites hoping it's still the same place you've trusted over the years--and I'll…read moresay it right up front: it is. Maybe even a touch better. The Food We went straight for what matters. * Chilean Sea Bass -- cooked right, flaky, moist, and seasoned without trying to show off. That's how it's supposed to be done. No nonsense, just good fish handled properly. * Fish Bites (house specialty) -- lightly battered, crispy without being greasy, and paired with both Thai chili and tartar sauces. That combo works. You don't fix what isn't broken, and thankfully they didn't. * Ponzu Tuna Tacos -- these were the standout. Fresh, flavorful, balanced. The ponzu brings just enough bite without overpowering the tuna. If you're going there and skip these, that's on you. Sides held their own--fresh vegetables with a good sauté, and coleslaw that didn't taste like it came out of a tub somewhere in the back. Service Our server, Kali (K-A-L-I), did things the old-school way--attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake. That's getting rare these days, and it's worth mentioning. Value Two people, solid seafood, no corners cut: $67.15 total. In today's world? That's not just fair--that's impressive. Final Take New ownership can sometimes mean a place loses its identity. That didn't happen here. Fish Bites still delivers what made it a favorite--fresh seafood, straightforward preparation, and consistency. If anything, they've tightened things up just enough to notice

No through traffic of wait staff or customers. We ordered drinks and started off with small house salads. Salads are a good portion for smalls. However, we were just barely finishing salads, bread had just come out, then entrees. I guess we thought putting in orders together, food wouldn't come out so fast. Server took our salad plates and handed us our entrees. We both ordered shrimp scampi. So delicious but I took half to go. When food comes out too fast, I just can't finish. I will think to wait on ordering entrees. I really don't like food coming out one after the other. I understand the kitchen makes the food as it comes in, but the timing could have been better. Food and service is always good here. Wouldn't mind waiting a few extra minutes for meals so we don't feel rushed out.

The flounder was good, hot and crispy. The fries basic. Cole slaw tasty. The hushpuppies were not good. Small, over cooked and dry. The food came out fast. The service was great. They had good dinner specials and bar specials too. I will be back. It's a good neighborhood restaurant. 3.5 stars. But sure it will be a four next visit.

It is an unassuming little place in a strip mall that serves Maine lobster and all the ways you can have it. Our fave lobster roll, it's the epitome of Maine, what I love most about visiting Maine. They offer it four ways. I love the Rockland roll. Bits of chopped onions, celery with huge chunks of lobster meat stuffed into a buttery top sliced New England bun and toasted. This option is cold lobster and you can taste the freshness of the meat. You get a delicious side of Cole slaw that is so fresh. I can't speak for too much of the menu other than the chowder, so delish. The rolls come in three sizes. The bun remains the same, it is by the weight of the lobster meat that changes: half, whole, hearty. I have had the Mainah which has the bit of mayo on it, the half portion. I do enjoy the crunch in the Rockland. That is my recommendation, but try each and decide. I haven't tried the dessert or the bowls, but I imagine they are amazing too. The one thing I don't leave without is a whoopie pie. There is a huge freezer case of them in various flavors. From Maine, of course. Overall, great experience here. The shop itself is tiny with only a few tables, and because the food quality is so good, it's definitely a popular place. You may have to wait a bit, so maybe not the best choice if you're in a big hurry. The couple running the shop were incredibly sweet and made the experience even better. I had the Portland Lobster Roll and loved it. Next time, though, I definitely want to try the Stonington Roll -- lobster warmed in butter. My daughter ordered it and it looked absolutely amazing. I will definitely return the next time I visit Wilmington!

The Chicken & Waffles were the standout. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and paired perfectly with the sweet syrup and smoky bacon. A great balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Spinach & Swiss omelette was light, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The spinach and melted Swiss worked well together, and the home fries were nicely seasoned with peppers and onions. The English muffin was a simple but welcome addition. The bird & Brie sandwich was another winner. The brioche bun was soft and buttery, while the brie added a creamy richness that elevated the sandwich. The arugula brought a fresh peppery bite that kept everything balanced. Overall, the food was fresh, portions were generous, and everything was cooked well. The home fries were crispy and flavorful across all the plates.
