They have half off bottles of wine on Tuesdays, and had linguine and clam sauce on the menu, so we went back. I'm very picky about my pasta dish... but had to try it. It was AMAZING!!! Chopped clams in the sauce and whole ones on top! My husband had the chicken piccatta and again, AMAZING! Went for a third time and ordered their Italian combo...wow, wow, wow!!! Their pizza can be so good however, it's not consistent, which is disappointing. We ordered a pie to be delivered. They said an hour & 20 wait, no problem. When they dropped it off it was clearly sitting around for 45 minutes - cold and hard. Not the first time. We also ordered the rustic salad, which is flavorful but this is the second time they didn't add pecans. If that's no longer part of the salad, remove the verbiage from the menus. It does make a difference! I didn't call to complain because it was a Saturday at 7pm - I've worked in this industry, not the best timing. Might just rethink our next order and go elsewhere for $50 bucks. read more

I recently moved to North Carolina and my friends were raving about the Italian bistro. So we were out one night in Wilmington, and we stopped in for dinner. What an amazing little spot with so much charm. There was no wait for a table, we were immediately greeted by a very pleasant waitress. She brought us waters and took our orders. My friends ordered their usual's: veal Parmesan and chicken Parmesan, and I ordered the cheese tortellini with pesto. The amount of food you receive is enough to feed a family of four! We had leftovers for days - not a complaint in any way shape or form! The prices were incredibly reasonable and the atmosphere was extremely pleasant! Four in my party. Two liked their meals, which were hubby who got Chicken piccata and friend who got the stuffed manicotti. Loved the sauce. One in my party got Stromboli and said crust was not that good. I needed gluten free and i've eaten here before and got good pizza and even baked pasta in the past but they told me last night that their gluten-free pasta is cooked in the same water as their other pasta. I love this little restaurant! While it sometimes takes awhile to get a table because it's so small inside, the wait is always worth it! My boyfriend and I went for dinner a few nights ago (shout out to places serving the night before Thanksgiving!) and enjoyed yet another deeeeelicious meal. We shared the calamari which was filling with just the right amount of breading on it. He ordered his favorite, chicken parm, and I ordered the chicken Gabriella (for me it's always a toss up between this dish and the eggplant parm). Both were absolutely fantastic! I have now eaten at this restaurant two times and had pasta with their sauce. The sauce is very heavy in paste. Definitely not authentic. Also tried the Bolognese. This sauce to be authentic shouid be started from a vegetable base called seufreto and tomato and cream sometimes sugar is then added. The staff is always friendly, always. They are busy and you will end up waiting, but the food is very very good. Final tip, the tiramisu is amazingly wonderful. The prices are kinda high but I still really enjoy their pizza. I also have their cater a lot of events for me for work. I was not impressed tonight by the website telling me my pizza would take 90 minutes for pick up. I called to cancel and they said it would be only 30. My friend and I had lunch here recently. It was in the late afternoon, so we didn't want to order a large lunch. They have a Pick 2 lunch special. I ordered a slice of pizza with sausage along with a cup of their tomato bisque soup. My friend had a slice of pizza with mushrooms and a Caesar salad. My soup was excellent! 04/17/20 A couple of weeks ago it was my son's wedding anniversary and we offered to buy them dinner and they suggested the Italian Bistro, since they delivered, we decided to get dinner from them also for ourselves and we have been ordering Friday dinners from them ever since. The meals have all been delivered hot and as ordered. We have been ordering the same meal each time. For appetizers we start with and order of Mozzarella Sticks - Hand breaded and prepared in house and an order of Calamari - Hand breaded and served with a spicy or mild Marinara sauce. The Calamari is the best I have ever had, and they are very generous with the amount they give you. Our second course is a Caesar Salad - Romaine lettuce, Caesar Salad Dressing, Croutons and Shredded Parmesan. The side salad version is more than enough to satisfy. The lettuce is crisp, and the dressing is delicious. You can order the dressing mixed in or on the side. For the main course, my wife orders their Lasagna Napoletana - Layered Pasta with seasoned ground beef baked with their homemade Marinara sauce and blended Italian cheeses. I order their Veal Parmigiana: Veal served on a bed of spaghetti covered with Marinara sauce, Mozzarella and Parmigiana cheeses. They serve some of the best Veal that I have had, and each meal contains enough for two meals as the attached pictures show. To drink with dinner, we ordered a bottle of their Biagio Chianti from Italy: Intense and characteristic bouquet, fruity with a violet fragrance and a slight hint of cherries. It is a particularly good chianti. On our fourth delivered meal we switched things up, I ordered their Seafood Fra Diablo. The dish consists of Mussels, Clams, Calamari and Shrimp Simmered in a Spicy Marinara served over Linguine. When they say the Marinara sauce is spicy, they mean it. It would be far too spicy for my wife. My wife had their Baked Penne. Penne Pasta smothered in Marinara sauce with Ricotta and Mozzarella cheeses. We shared an order of Garlic Knots. Dough rolled and tied into knots, baked, and then tossed in Garlic and Italian Spices. When the Stay At Home order is lifted, I am looking forward to visiting their restaurant, but until that time, I highly recommend their Take Out/Delivery service. read more
