A small little Italian Deli/Market. They have a handful of items for sale (like capers, olives, pasta, ravioli's) in addition to a sandwich menu and family meals-to-go. We opted for some sandwiches. My husband ordered the Reuben and I got the Sicilian which was loaded with thinly sliced meats & layers of cheese. It was a really good sammie. The only knock for me was that the roll was a little drier than I would've liked. The service was outstanding though, super friendly people!

The staff was amazing and very helpful. I've past this place many times and decided to get a sub from here today. They sell all sorts of pastas and everything smelled so good.. you can get hot or cold subs.. I got jimmys sub and it was packed full of deliciousness! I got a small but I sware on normal that would be large anywhere else! You can get already breaded veal cutlets which is good to know because can't find veal often for veal parm! I will definitely be back..

I was hosting an Italian dinner for some friends and decided to finally make my way to the Italian Market here in Hampstead. I had heard nothing but good things and quickly realized why. They have a very nice market side with fresh produce, any type of pasta you can image (some made in house). They also have any type of ingredient you can image that you would need to make some homemade sauces. They also have a deli side and some bakery items. I went ahead and got some Italian cookies for my guests and they really enjoyed them. (one even said it reminded him of his childhood because he himself was raised in a New York/Italian household). I also saw a woman ordering from the deli and everything on that side did look delicious, however, I did not explore that side of the market yet but will be returning to do so. Overall, super cool spot right here in Hampstead.

Service and food were great. Definitely worth supporting local and getting some yummy loaded sandwiches with a smile.

Conveniently located in the center of Topsail Island, it was a 15-minute drive from our 2022 Airbnb stay. With our stay at Saltwater Suites in 2025, the drive was less than 5 minutes. With four mornings between the two stays, we dined in at NY Corner Deli four times. It had everything we wanted. My son and I are sticklers for routine. In every visit to NY Corner Deli, we ordered the same thing: 2 scrambled eggs with toast & potatoes for me, and pancakes for him. Orders were placed at the counter. Then we went upstairs to the dining area and waited for the orders to be served. There were no issues with the order, food or service in the four visits. In both 2022 visits, I had coffee; in both 2025 visits, I had Mountain Dew. Refills are free for both coffee and soda. My order tasted better than a similar one at Tick Tock Diner in NYC. It was great value for money. I always felt that I ate enough to last me through lunch. There was no reason to try anything different. Unlike Tick Tock Diner, NY Corner Deli did not have any TVs in the dining area. We go to the beach to get away from the world. TVs keeps us connected to the world and the negativity that comes with it. Furthermore, there weren't many people in the dining area whenever we were here. I had only seen up to two other tables that were occupied. If you like a decent breakfast and a quiet atmosphere, NY Corner Deli is the place to be. I'll be back the next time I'm in the Topsail / Surf City area.

The walls are covered in black-and-white prints of the Brooklyn Bridge, sepia-toned yellow cabs, and metal street signs screaming Broadway and 5th Ave. The seating is divided into two thrillingly average, non-beachy options: Upstairs or Downstairs. Both levels feature the exact same standard-issue, wobbly metal diner chairs, with vinyl tables upstairs. The menu is an everything menu, nothing specific, no specialties, consider this a one stop shop for anytime of the day. It serves up a breakfast that is heavy, completely unpretentious, and designed to fill you to the brim. Like the rest of the menu, it doesn't aim for culinary innovation; it aims for maximum density and they are open when everyone else is closed. By the time you scrape the plate clean, you are utterly, heavily full and ready to take on the day. Cheers!

I ordered the chicken parmesan sub sandwich, which was good but it seemed mostly bread. The chicken pieces were small and also breaded. Too much breading for me. The red sauce was excellent. DH had the sausage and pepper sub, which he really enjoyed. We had a choice of a size ,so we both ordered the macaroni salad. Not my favorite, as it was a little too sweet. They sell meats, cheese, cured meats, olives, canned goods, various pastas, sweets, etc. Having read the reviews here, I may try the Reuben sandwich next time we are in the area.

Small store with good dry foods selection, dedicated to sauces, pasta, frozen Italian dishes(I'll get to that) cookies etc...in back, is take out magic (selections are frozen too, great choices/prices) ...sandwiches choices make it hard to pick one...I chose an Italian classic. It may seem pricey, BUT the small sandwich is piled high with meat and trimmings, the large is absolutely huge, would end up with 3 servings for me...I would say stop by this place every week or even twice a week for a sandwich AND pick up a frozen main dish for dinner...you'll love this place, it's quality, taste, and value for FRESH made Italian!!!!
