Unfortunately, I can't go higher than 2 stars at this point. The space itself has been transformed into a fun venue. There's a long bar to the left and many smaller tables along the opposite wall. The color scheme fits nicely and the decor is on point. However, that's where the appeal ended for me. I ordered the eggplant parm sub (as did two others I was with) All three of us were disappointed. The eggplant was cut too thick, as though it were a cutlet. Yes, the eggplant was breaded, but because of how thick it was cut there was no taste and nothing special about each bite. The cheese was barely melted and the sub as a whole was served on sesame bread. Thinly cut eggplant with melted mozzarella on a more suitable bread could have changed the experience. I can't speak to the pizza, but my friend did order one and had positive things to say. I will probably try again, but go with pizza. Hopefully the experience won't be a miss. read more

Saturday Night Pizza Fever! Stopped in for a 10pm pizza after a late arrival into Baltimore. First impressions were funky decor, great lighting, cool car stuck in the wall, overpriced drinks, music way too loud, but stayed because it smelled delicious. I ordered a beer but was tempted by the proseco on tap. Wines ranged from $8-13 per glass, which full disclosure, is about what I usually spend on a bottle at home. Anyway. The $9 Hysteria Bicycle Institute IPA hit the spot and quenched the Disco Inferno. Service was prompt and friendly. The complimentary breadsticks tasted stale and chewy, not freshly baked. Maybe trying a little too hard on that I Will Survive number. The $6 garlic bread from the app menu, on the other hand, was definitely hot and fresh, topped with parm, butter, and loaded with a Boogie Wonderland of fresh garlic. Beware, you will taste that garlic when you wake up in the middle of the night. But it was worth it and oh so yummy. Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough! We also poured on generous amounts of more parm and crushed red pepper. Young Hearts Run Free and so do those little glass flavor shakers. The garlic bread comes with a tiny cup of marinara dipping sauce which lasted for about the first 3 bites. Fortunately, our server was kind enough to bring us another cup. Do yourself a favor and just ask for extra marinara at the get go. Margherita pizza was ok for $14. The crust and sauce were great, and house made mozzarella was melty and cheesy. The few pieces of wilted basil were a little depressing and it definitely could've used more. It did not pass the pizza strength holding test and immediately flopped over, but still tasted good eaten with hand or fork. We'll call it Stayin' Alive. The 12" size with 6 slices was perfect for sharing. Came here and sat on their small outdoor patio for dinner shortly after their reopening (due to social distancing for COVID). Overall, it's a nice casual place to come for a filling, tasty meal. Location/parking: Located in Harbor East, across from Whole Foods and right beside Tagliata. In fact, their patio is basically the same as Tagliata's patio and is only separated by a few planters. Parking can be tricky in the area, but we were able to find street parking easily on a Sunday night. There are several parking garages nearby (Whole Foods across the street has one). Food/Drink/Vegetarian options: We started off with a glass of wine, which I honestly feel could have been served in nicer stemware. They have a small cocktail menu as well, with cute drinks like the Pink Lady. There are plenty of vegetarian options here - from appetizers, to salads, to the pizzas and pastas. We had their mozzarella sticks and garlic bread to start, both of which were slightly oily but very tasty. For my entree I had the simple margherita pizza, which was delicious - their sauce is very good! The food is overall solid, not exceptional but delicious! Service: They weren't very busy but our server was very attentive. She made sure to bring over an extra table because we wouldn't have enough space on our small tables for all of the food and drinks. Italian Disco has always been one of those places that I drive past and am interested, but never actually try. Well, on a random Wednesday (a.k.a yesterday) I finally tried it out with some friends who are regulars there. From that experience, I will be going back. I ate the mushroom veggie burger (with french fries, of course!) and it was a nice change from the typical black bean burger or veggie burger. I'm not personally the BIGGEST fan of mushrooms but the flavor was awesome, and I would have it again. I definitely recommend anyone to try whether vegetarian or not. To finish the meal I ordered some gelato which was great! It was also karaoke night (always an added bonus with good food). Food alone 4 stars. With service, it comes down to 2 stars. I came here with a couple of friends because of we heard that this pizza places turns into a disco at 9 PM. The concept of this place is cool but execution fell short... We got seated promptly because it was pretty empty despite it being a Friday night at 8:30 PM. We got a basket of garlic sticks (free) - the piece I grabbed was stale and hard but others said that it was soft. Maybe I just got a bad stick? We ordered 2 pizzas: 1. Funghi Misti ($17) - Maitake, Shiitake, Cremini, Fontina, Pecorino, Thyme, Truffle Oil. This pizza was actually really good. The dough was nice & chewy and there were so many mushrooms!!! The savory/umami flavors of the mushrooms was quite nice with the sharp & smoky flavors of Pecorino cheese. 2. Pancetta ($18) - Mushrooms, Black Garlic, Mozzarella, Pecorino, Tomato Sauce, Basil. Something was wrong with the dough... it kept falling apart and it was so soggy!!! But there was an abundance of topping and I love Pancetta so I might be biased about this one. My biggest problem with this place was the service. I ordered a glass of beer and was enjoying my stout when our pizzas arrived. Our waitress was having a hard time finding space on our table to place the pizzas so I tried to help her. I accidentally tipped my glass of beer over and spilled it everywhere and this is when I started getting annoyed: 1. The waitress just stared at me and did nothing. 2. The waitress did not offer me any additional napkin or towel to try and soak up the spilled beer... and it was just dripping onto my dress and handbag. I had to ASK her for a rag. 3. The waitress did not come back with another beer. The LEAST she could do was ask if I wanted another beer. I mean I did spill it because she was looking for space on our table to place the 2 pizzas. Alas, clock hits 9 PM and this DJ climbs up a spiral ladder to the top, dims the lighting, turns on the disco ball and amps up the music volume. Don't get me wrong, the concept was cool but the music can get pretty loud... I could barely hear my husband who was sitting right next to me. Overall, good pizza but terrible service. Maybe I will stop by in the future and see if I get a better service but I rather go to Iggies, Joe Benny's or Isabella's for a more delicious pizza and proper service. read more

Came here with my 5 yo daughter on a Tuesday evening for dinner. Heard about kids eat free Tuesday! If you order $20 of food, kid gets a free margarita pizza!! Everything we ate was really good and service was great! I ordered the cauliflower app, beet salAd, and caccio peppe pasta!! The beet salad was a little overdressed with vinegar but still yummy. The cauliflower was well seasoned and crunchy with sweet raisins . Even my daughter liked it!! Her pizza was over salted in my opinion but my husband liked it and so did my daughter. We visited this place mostly to wait for a table at Elk Room next door. Their cocktails were ok; nothing that really stood out for us. The ambiance is really fun in terms of the DJ playing disco combined with some song requests from the 70s through the early 2000's. The fun part was being able to text a pic that would be featured on their TVs while also submitting your song request. You'll see all sorts of random photos. We actually coincidentally realized our friends were here by seeing their faces on the screen. Since we were there for over an hour, it did get a little tired posting pics after a while. Decided on two things: the spicy vodka pizza and the meatball appetizer. Being an Atlas restaurant, I knew what I was getting into price wise. Paid a little under $20 for the pizza and $15 for 3 meatball appetizer. The one word that comes to mind - underwhelming. Ordered the pizza "well done" and it barely looked cooked with little to no coloring on the crust. The pizza was not even in the slightest bit spicy and lacked flavor all around. The vodka sauce barely tasted like anything. However, I wish I could say the same for the sauce that the meatballs came in. The tomato sauce was so acidic it made it hard to eat. It tasted like tomatos straight out of the can with no seasoning. The meatballs were dry, hard to cut through, and lacked any and all flavor. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things? For our last night in Baltimore we stopped in for dinner to this fun Italian bar and restaurant. This place was cool with neat lighting, plenty of televisions showing football and lots go tables and space. They hand make pasta right on the restaurant floor which was pretty neat and they've got a long bar with a list of fun unique drink ideas. The food was pretty good! I ordered the blackened chicken pasta and it was so good. The chicken was Cajun spiced and I could have eaten twenty more pieces! The pasta was fresh and flavorful and came with a light cream sauce! My buddy ordered an absolutely nassicd ground beef calzone which came out with a heaping cup of red sauce. Yummy food and fun atmosphere! I'd highly recommend this place. read more

On a Wednesday night at 9:45pm there's not many choices for a late dinner and drink, but we could hear the music from the street so we went in. Wednesday night is karaoke night and no matter what else was going on, this was a good time. A good mix of people, disco fries were yummy as always and entertainment that ranged from Frank Sinatra to Linkin Park had everyone's attention. I came here for happy hour with my husband on a Friday night. Upon walking into the door, the place gives off a 70/80s disco feel. The place is small with limited tables inside, but there is also an outdoor area and a large bar. The happy hour menu was amazing for food with an array of options from small plates, shareables, and pizzas all in a range from $4-8. My husband and I split the stuffed peppers, meatballs, and primavera pizza. I was so stuffed and the food was breathtaking. The peppers were perfectly stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella. The meatballs seasoned to perfection and plated with a delightful sauce. Then the pizza was the main event. All the food was phenomenal and I can't wait to come back to try more food. The only downsize is that the drinks are overpriced. Even for happy hour, I paid over 10 dollars for a glass of wine and about 7 for a beer. This was my first time at this place and it was really delicious! The outdoor seating is small but on a less busy evening (I went on a Wednesday) there is plenty of space. It shares the outdoor alleyway with Tagliata next door so you get the similar ambiance for a less expensive menu. We ordered the calamari which was good, not too greasy. The pieces of calamari could be bigger but that's just me being picky. I got a half portion of the pasta and it was still a huge portion so I highly recommend getting the half portion which is super reasonably priced ($7 for the penne) and it still was plenty of food and I brought half home for leftovers. I also added the shrimp which was actually the star of the meal it was cooked perfectly and had this amazing crispy crust that had an amazing seasoning as well. For dessert I got the affogato which was fantastic. Really love this place. The service was nice and it's a quiet less busy place during the weekday. read more

Went to Italian Disco for a date on a Friday night and had a blast. Started the meal with the cauliflower - super tasty, but it is small and is served cold (which caught me by surprise). The Cacio e Pepe was amazing. I only got the 1/2 size and there was more than enough for an entire meal. Service was slow. The pizza was fine; the crust was good. But we seemed to wait a while for it after our other dishes already came. The chicken parm sub was probably the best item of the night. Unfortunately, the spaghetti which came with the meatball entree was really bland. No flavor at all. The vanilla shake didn't work either. I would work on the marinara and the meatballs.
