We order the turkey club, hush puppies, cream of crab soup, the charcuterie board, fries, and fried oysters to share. The turkey club was the star of the show. It had nice layers of avocado, the chicken was cooked well, and the bacon added a nice touch. For drinks we stuck to the margaritas and they were perfect! I would say you can skip the fries, the seasoning was great the batch of fries we had seemed like they might not have been fresh. Although the food and waitstaff were excellent, the overall experience was disappointing. We arrived early for our reservation and were promptly seated at the worst table in the restaurant: the only table with no view, the waitstaff work area directly behind the table, and constant foot traffic behind us as well. We immediately asked the hostess for a different table. She told as that the three booths and the six other two-tops were all reserved. She left us with no attempt at an apology and promptly put reserved signs on all the open tables. When we left an hour later, one booth and 4 two-tops had never been used. Much to our dismay, we saw people seated outside even though we had received a text before arriving saying the patio was closed for the evening. To add insult to injury, even half empty, the noise level was so uncomfortable since everything was tile, marble, or wood that the alarm sensor on my smart watch sounded because of the decibel level. I had the pleasure of eating at Loch Bar twice on a recent work trip. Both times I had excellent service! The food was very good, especially the crab cakes; however $66 for crab cakes is kind of outrageous. The drinks were also good and I enjoyed doing an oyster shooter with friends. It's very lovely to be able to sit right by the water but wish they would let you out there even if not eating. I tried to go for a 3rd time just to have drinks on the patio but was told by the hostess that we couldn't sit outside unless we were having a full meal. I thought this was very strange especially since it was at an off time. Ultimately they lost business over that because we went somewhere else. We were only in Baltimore for one night and leaving town right after this meal so I wanted some authentic Maryland Crab. Yelp helped with my decision with choosing Loch Bar. I didn't catch his name but he was about 6 ft tall, slim, African American, and maybe late 20's/ early 30's. Very friendly, attentive, and professional. We ordered several items from the happy hour menu but I really wanted to try the crab cake so I ordered that, which came with either a salad or fries. Since we ordered the Old Bay fries, I went with the salad. Our food came out not too fast and did not take super long, it was great timing. OMFG again! EVERYTHING WAS SO FRIGGIN AMAZING! The crab cake was the freshest and most flavorful I have ever had! The fries were perfectly seasoned and not over fried or greasy. The salad was fresh and the dressing was perfectly balanced! AND THE CRAB SOUP!!! It was the best I ever had! It reminded me of my absolute favorite lobster bisque from a restaurant I grew up on that closed. Well, now I know what I have been missing all these years! I had drinks at the Loch Bar several years ago but had never eaten there. What a fantastic experience on a warm Saturday night. The service was excellent and the food out of this world delicious. It's hard to find hushpuppies around this area so when I saw them on the menu, I had to try them and they did not disappoint. I also love lamb, so I ordered the Grilled Lamb Kebabs. The lamb was marinated and came drizzled with an incredibly tasty chimichurri sauce. OMG. They were so tender and flavorful. The portion size was perfect for me to enjoy them all over again the next day as leftovers. I will definitely be coming here often now that I have experienced Loch Bar Baltimore. I really want to love this place but the truth is, it's overpriced and underwhelming. I go to all Atlas restaurants and this one personally just doesn't do it for me. The Brussels sprouts are definitely a high point. The crab dip is tasty but again, not good enough to negate the price tag on them. A bowl of French fries is 10 bucks and I have to say, I have had better fries. The Chesapeake was good but I'm ok if I never have it again. The outside space is a nice place to hang. I chose to dine at one of my reataurants on my Yelp "To Go" list. This selection is in Harbour East with Harbour view. There are seats available inside or outside. I chose inside due to the numerous Lantern bugs crawling and flying around outside. I made the decision to go here as it had NFL being aired on tvs at the bar and oysters. We ordered drinks Orange crush and Beachcoma. Then we decided on a 2 each of a selection of 4 different types raw oysters. The oysters did not wow me. They did not touch my satisfaction button. I also ordered Rockafella oysters which they took them off the check as we tasted them. The waitress was cool and told us that many people send them back. The oysters were a tad warm, we noticed the ice started to melt quickly. The mussels visually seemed that the broth should have flavor but it a bland and thin there were also quite a few closed mussels in the serving so missed out on those because I won't eat bad seafood. It was a beautiful night, and the string lights helped to set the mood. I enjoyed the smith island cake (its a bit smaller than it was previously making it not such a shareable portion for $14). After checking out a speakeasy, we were on the hunt for a bite to eat and ended up at Loch Bar--what a great choice! It was getting late, and the kitchen was about to close in just fifteen minutes. Most places would have turned us away, but the hostess suggested we order from the bar to speed things up. Came to grab drinks with a few of my friends after a conference in the hotel right near Loch Bar and I hate to say it, but I will not be back. While the drinks were good, the service was so bad. To start there were maybe 5 people total in the restaurant and we decided to sit at the bar since it wasn't busy and we just wanted drinks. The bartender was rude. The menus were tossed at us, waters were given to us after he put his fingers into them to hold them and he acted like it put him out to give us waters. We never even asked for water! When we said we were just going to have a few drinks another huff from the bartender. Again, we were the only ones at the bar. My friend got a glass of wine, another got the ring of fire, and i got a slushie. My slushie was a mess when brought to me. After that we decided we would finish these drinks and leave.
