Cavatelli and broccoli in the garlic oil
Jessica F.

Stopped in for a quick bite on a Sunday night. Place was pretty empty for the most part, which means good service and fast food! Which both of those were received. Served warmed bread and garlic knots to start us off. I ordered cavatelli with broccoli in the garlic butter oil. Was cooked well and not over done to where the broccoli turns to mush. Definitely was craving it and fulfilled my cravings! Everything was delicious!

Love this place! I love their pizza, eggplant rolls and salads. Their food is always fresh and delicious. I have eaten here, ordered to go and gotten delivery. I highly recommend this place!

Lots of options and huge portion sizes. Tried a variety of the appetizers which were all flavorful. Some of the food was cold by the time it got to us. The garlic knots, fried mozzarella and calamari were all cold. The service was good as they made sure our wine glasses were never empty. The pizza was the best thing we tried. Great combination of meats of veggies

Chicken "Alfredo"

Food was bad. As you can see in my pic I ordered the chicken Alfredo. Guess the sauce wasn't included. There was some at the bottom of the dish but no where near enough to coat the pasta and it had no flavor. Basically got a pound of cocked penne pasta with some chicken.

Headed out to this restaraunt for a Sunday lunch for a birthday party. We were a party of 11 and no one had been here before. I was surprised at how large the inside of the restaraunt was. However, it was not very full given the size. It appeared to be a place where larger parties like to dine- very laid back and casual. We started off rough as we were seated for about 20 minutes before getting menus but the waitress quickly apologized and stated they are usually left on the table. She dropped off bread & our drinks to start. The menu has a lot of options (more than listed on their website). We ordered mozz squares, eggplant rollatini, calamari, chicken tenders & Bruschetta to start. Everything was very tasty- the eggplant was a little cold but the taste was still good and the portions were all very large. The bruschetta was actually the size of a pizza which caught us all off guard but there were tons of leftovers! For dinner I ordered the chicken picatta with spinach instead of pasta- the waitress was very accommodating for substitutes. It wasn't the best that I have ever had but it wasn't bad. The portions again- HUGE! We literally had about 12 togo boxes between all of us. The family had cheesecake for dessert so that we could sing happy birthday and everyone seemed to like it. For a group of 11 we were there for about 2 hours which seems normal- there was no rush and a very lax atmosphere to the place. I would likely go back- the bar looked like it had great potential but it was empty. Maybe happy hour is a little more enticing!

The most amazing penne a la vodka! Enough for four people.

The Italian Pavilion has quickly become our family's go to stop on the drive back from NYC. The atmosphere is inviting and the food is amazing! I have only had the chicken parmigiana and penne a la vodka on multiple occasions and both dishes are delicious. You will never leave hungry as the portions are enough for at least two people (which makes it perfect for sharing!) I highly recommend coming here!

This place used to be in the Ansonia Mall, and i loved getting slices there as a kid. Unfortunately it's only second rate greasy pizza now.

The food easily earns a 9/10 overall. The service was great, but the dishes were the real stars of the night: Chicken Milanese: Absolutely excellent. Easily one of the best versions of this dish we have ever tasted in Connecticut. Veal Meatballs: Incredible texture and flavor. Truly stand-out quality. Gorgonzola Pasta: Incredibly unique. If you love Gorgonzola cheese, this is an absolute must-try. Pizza: Good crust and flavor. The complimentary bread was just average, but everything else completely blew us away. We highly recommend checking this neighborhood spot out!

The waitress didn't check in much but the bus boy was sweet and extremely attentive. I hope he got part of our tip! We ordered the burratta appetizer to share which was covered in tasty pesto. My friends both got the fettuccine Alfredo which they described as creamy and delicious and one of the better ones they've had. I got the carbonara, which was good but I wasn't blown away. I was torn between this and another choice and I think I will have to come back and try the other option.
