I had planned to have it for lunch the next day, taking time to crisp the edges in the air fryer before devouring the source of those smells - but alas, it was too great a temptation and I tried a small piece when I got home. Small, meaning like TWO OUNCES that had fallen apart from the main rib into the mound of pasta and chunky red sauce. Sliced garlic, chunky tomatoes, and the essence of beef all through it made for a pretty tasty side dish that I ended up giving to Tiff. I was saving room for the MEAT. So, that little piece that dropped off to tempt me was eaten and savored. It was soooo good. Still, I managed to save the rest of the rib for lunch the next day - I crisped that beautiful short rib up, as promised, and shared the pasta with Tiff - we had a delicious meal and both gave thanks for the food, for Leo and for Ashleigh, the awesome server who packaged the boxes up so beautifully and made sure we were well taken care of even though we took it home. I had their chicken Marsala, which was prepared in the traditional style and was tasty. My wife had their signature muffuletta, which although unusually prepared on French bread, was good. Salads were somewhat wilted, but iced tea was quite good. Mandina's is worth your attention and we will return to try some other Italian favorites, including their lasagna, which I hear is excellent.

We typically try a new app or two along with a salad. Their salads are always changing but the flavor combinations they come up with are awesome. We had a salad one time with Gorgonzola, apple, shallot, candied pecans and a vinaigrette that was one of the best salads we ever had. Their desserts also change and some of them are seasonal. We found that Fazzio's has an old school casual elegance, is home to many traditional Italian favorites, has an excellent wine and cocktail selection, and features a warm ambiance and welcoming service. Tonight, Amanda took very good care of us. We enjoyed mixed green and Caesar salads followed by chicken piccata and chicken Marsala entrees. Both entrees were savory and delicious and portion sizes were generous. I think the Marsala was especially good and it overflowed with the mushrooms I love so much. We didn't save room for dessert this time, but the tiramisu is said to be quite good. We look forward to returning.

Located in a beautifully repurposed home in downtown Covington, this charming spot exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly shown to our table in one of the restaurant's small but thoughtfully decorated dining rooms. We started with the house-made whipped ricotta at our server's suggestion. Lightly topped with rosemary honey and served with grilled ciabatta, it was absolutely delicious. For our entrées, my wife ordered the Chicken Molli while I chose the Pork Cheek Marsala. Both dishes were phenomenal. Unfortunately, we didn't save room for dessert, so I guess we'll just have to return, which I'm sure won't disappoint my wife in the slightest. When we received the bill we were both surprised because we had expected it to be significantly higher than it was based on the service and quality of the food. The attentive staff, inviting atmosphere, and excellent food all help make this place stand out. We're already looking forward to our next visit.
