We got two pizzas delivered for my family. They were perfect for dinner after a day of swimming. Love the stuffed meat lovers so much

I used to love this place, but our last time wasn't so great, pizza with no sauce? I asked for extra sauce and got what appeared to be none. I called, Supposedly they drizzled it on top? That was not helpful, she said I could bring it back and they would remake it... I picked it up on my way home from work, not convenient. We made some pizza sauce .

Stuffed slice from a previous visit. Favorite!

Giant portions of everything from pizza, stuffed pizza, Stromboli, garlic knots, pepperoni rolls... I had the chicken and spinach Alfredo roll this time and it was awesome. The stuffed slice is my absolute favorite. Friendly people, piping hot delicious food, and always clean. I will continue to visit Italiano's often. Their giant pizzas are also great for a crowd.

Awesome NY-style pizza! By-the-slice and boy are they big! Italiano salad was great, too! Definitely recommend for their pizza and calzone!

This restaurant has excellent food, especially the pizza. We eat here as much as our waist lines let us. Reasonable prices.

Why We Loved It: * The Food: The pizza is excellent. We always get the Durfinator and add ground beef--it is so good! Even when the place is packed out, the food comes out incredibly fast because of their brick oven. * The Drinks: The beer selection is solid. It's a great self-serve setup where you just set up a tab at the front to get your beer card and order your food at the counter. * Family Friendly: This is the real game-changer. They have a closed-in playground on turf that is incredibly clean and fun. It feels very safe, making it an amazing place to go as a family. * The Vibe: It's super relaxed. It is one of those rare places where you can actually enjoy a drink while the kids burn off some energy. Bottom line: Great food, efficient service, and the perfect setup for parents and kids alike. We'll be back for another Durfinator soon!

La Riv is a great dinner spot for a nicer, celebratory meal with family or friends with locations…read morein both Temple and Georgetown! It's pricey for the portion size but has nice menu offerings for an Italian steakhouse. It was nice to try but I don't plan on returning. NOTES: - Reservations: available online through OpenTable - Parking: free lot in front and next to the building - Happy hour: Tuesday to Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm - Closed Sunday and Monday THE HIGHS: - Beautiful interior and comfortable seating - Attentive servers and food comes out quickly - They will split salads for you which makes it easy to share - Wood fired pizza is AMAZING! - Chocolate cake for dessert... one of the best pieces I've ever had! THE LOWS: - Expensive for the portion size - Server was super friendly but she came to the table too often... it kept interrupting our conversation and she would ask how the food was before we had even taken a bite - Bucatini al' La Riv... the pasta was house made and cooked to a nice al dente but the dish lacked flavor and was very bland - Some of the menu items don't have prices listed (golden beets salad which was new and the chocolate cake slice which I think was a special) THE PRICE: Expensive for the portion size (good quality but not justified by the price) - Tea ($2.75) - Garlic ciabatta bread ($6) - Grilled wedge salad ($18) - Golden beefs salad ($18) - Pizza Bianca ($22) - Bucatini al' La Riv ($24) - Ravioli ($28) - Short rib pappardelle ($36) - 2 chocolate cake slices ($16 each) The total was $202.16 after tax ($15.41) but before tip. BEST BITES: - Chocolate cake (moist, fudgey, and rich in all the best ways) - Pizza Bianca (delicious sourdough crust with wood fired char, fresh ingredients, and the perfect size for a meal or sharing as an appetizer) - Garlic ciabatta bread (getting 4 pieces for $6 feels like a steal compared to some of the other menu items... it was a perfect appetizer to share) THE VERDICT: This was my first visit to La Riv and I enjoyed my meal overall. We were celebrating my mom's birthday and there was no acknowledgement... I kind of wish they had made the dinner feel a little more special. With how expensive it is, I don't think I'll be returning and probably would only recommend it to others if they really want to splurge and don't have any other options.

I have been driving by this place for MONTHS after a tornado ripped thru this part of Temple. After…read morerefurbishing I heard they changed it up a bit so I suggested to the hubs that we try them out for date night - and MAN were we Supremely happy we did!! This little place is completely redone inside to look like a high class bar and dinner venue!! We stared w the Ahi Tuna Crudo - super fresh Ahi tuna beautifully presented with a surprising and refreshing arrangement of pickled celery, and sweet Italian peppers, served over a delicate avocado puree and tiny dots of citrus ponzu. The plate was Beautiful! Our next adventure; lightly charred pieces of octopus atop slightly pureed cannelloni beans. Now this is an unlikely and unusual pairing, but it WORKS!! SPLENDIDLY!! And again, the presentation is beautiful Generous portions of octopus with a char that gives it a slight smokiness and perfectly cooked to make for a tender bite and with the puree? Not since Italy have we been so amazed!! The saltiness with hints of chilis in the background, the texture of the beans, the slight chew and smoothness of the octopus; an elevated flavor combo that knocks it out the Park! As we wait for our main courses the restaurant fills with patrons and I'm gazing around, noting the Huge pizza oven. It's rustic and beautifully made; tiny tiles overlaying its upper surface making for a gorgeous and impressive visual in the midst of the bustling kitchen. I love that it is used as a WALL of sorts on its outer edge. I also love that one has a view of the kitchen via a smallish viewing glass next to the oven. Another site is the bar! Now mind you. This is TEMPLE. But this bar, and really the entire inside of this establishment is something you'd expect to see in the bigger cities like Austin or Dallas!! It's Truly a class act!! White linen clad tables, servers dressed black and white, beautiful decor. Not something you would expect in this area!! Our awesome server Austin takes excellent care of us; taking the time to stop in often to chat and share with us his wanderings, life experiences, and Menu Expertise!! We love the interaction! And then Austin brings out our MAINS!! And OH MAN GUYS.... First up is the Osso Bucco. I've had Osso Bucco in many places; I've MADE Osso Bucco. This is PERFECTION. Not too much demi which is almost ALWAYS the case, in stead of Drowning in the sauce this dish gives just enough so that you can scoop up perfect bites of light and creamy polenta. Not a trace of its gritty source this polenta is airy and buttery smooth promoting mere corn to another level altogether. The Real Star here tho is the Veal Shank. We are presented with lavish portion - the shank bone is served with a tiny bone fork alongside; given to scoop out the unctuous velvety richness that is the inner MARROW!!! And when I say wow? I mean WOWWWWWWW The flavor of the shank is a consume of beefy richness with hints of herbs As much as I LOVE LOVE LOVED the veal tho? The homemade pasta stole it for me honestly. Now, my hubs and I are blessed enough to go to Italy a couple times a year, and we have YET to taste pasta like this!! La Riv makes their own pasta in house and GUYSSSSSSSS we tried the Pappardelle with beef rib; Gorgeous braised beef chunks swimming in a delicate jus and herb ricotta to mix in. The beef is melt in your mouth tender while the Pappardelle has a slight bite telling you it is FRESH!! I LOVE the texture of this pasta. It is my favorite of the pasta cuts and I just could not get enough!!! But I had to hold myself back so I wouldn't eat ALL of hubs dish!! We absolutely Love this little Gem on W Adams in Temple. It's unassuming but I Guarantee will knock your socks off!! The staff are wonderful, and your taste buds will be treated to a Real Italian Flavor Adventure!!

I came in a large party of nine, and we had to wait a good 30 minutes in person to be seated even after calling in advance to get our group on the waitlist. This was a Friday evening though. For drinks, one coke, one diet coke, and one coke zero, were ordered by people at our table, and all three people were given the wrong drink as the server mixed them up. I got the strawberry-passion fruit limonata, and I really liked it. It was very sweet though. Like juice/fruit soda. I was impressed by the unlimited breadsticks. The problem was that I was already starting to feel full after eating two. We got the calamari and shrimp fritto misto for appetizers. They were okay. I couldn't really taste the shrimp or the calamari because I could mostly just taste the fried breading. I had to leave early, so I ordered immediately after sitting and asked to get my pasta in a to-go container. My ravioli carbonara came pretty quickly, and I was happy with that. However, the side salad never arrived. They brought two giant bowls of side salad for the table, and they said they would bring me one to go. I waited at least 20 minutes after I got my pasta for my salad, but it did not arrive, and I had to leave. I just put some of the salad from the big bowls into my container. The pasta was pretty mid, to be honest. And I really like pasta, so I have a low bar for it. The salad was decent for a side salad.
