This was a really bad pizza. It was like what you'd get at a grade school cafeteria bad. I was shocked upon opening the box and reluctantly trying a slice. It tasted like what it looked like. Lukewarm garbage. I stored the uneaten pizza in the oven and waited until trash day to throw it out. I didn't want to even risk someone else in the house seeing it in the fridge and trying it. I work close-by to here and have been eating Kroger sammies in my car lately. That gets old. I noticed the Kroger strip has a Chinese and pizza place. I walked into the Chinese place and it was a dump and nobody greeted me after 5 minutes sooo pizza place it was. It's a small area inside (they have a narrow seating area and bar top seating up front). I opted for the lunch special (two slices of pizza and a drink). Their slices are huge! The cheese pizza I got could have used a tad more red sauce but the cost for the drink & 2 slices was cheaper than getting just a sammie at Kroger. Their sweet tea is SAAAAWEET. Service was friendly and prompt. Aside from the annoying guy near me playing his laptop speakers, I'd recommend this place for a quick lunch. read more

So this place is just off. The ambiance is weird. None of the decor matched, which is fine just weird. There is ONE guy taking orders and seating people and cashing everyone out. He was rude . I know he was rushed but his customer service was not acceptable. He would hold his finger up and say "give me a minute" . The food was not it. Chicken Alfredo had an inch of oil below the pasta and the chicken was bland, no seasoning . The tiramisu ? Was frozen solid . Couldn't even take a bite and a pathetic excuse for tiramisu. Just realized I never wrote that update! First visit - Five stars! My chicken philly was hot and tasty. It comes with chips and a pickle. It comes with white American cheese, I asked if I could have provolone or mozz instead. I got provolone. I asked if I could get fries for an upcharge, but there was some sort of misunderstanding - so I wound up with a family sized order of fries (lol) and potato chips. I dined in and took the rest for later: My Chicken & Sausage Carbonara (Carbonara with Roasted Red Peppers and Bacon In a Creamy Parmesan Sauce Over Fettuccine) was good, but not super filling. I didn't try the accompanying garlic knots, but I made a salad to go with it. My Margherita slice was delicious. I ate a cold, for lunch at 4am the next day. The Stuffed Meat Pizza (Pepperoni, Sausage, Meatballs, Mozzarella, & Tomato Sauce Stuffed Between Two Layers of Pizza Crust) was great. J had a friend drop by unexpectedly and though they rolled their eyes at first, after one slice - they were impressed - and stuffed. Two men, 1 teenage boy and 1 teenage girl - could only eat half of this monster. This pizza is no joke. Super heavy and super filling - even without the marinara. I did not try the marinara, but J said it wasn't spicy enough. He dumped all 4 containers in a bowl and added coarse pepper, garlic paste and all sort of other spices. I only had one bite because I was occupied with my chicken carbonara but I did eat a slice the next day and I wasn't able to finish one slice in one sitting. Second visit - 4 stars I ordered the chicken philly, with provolone instead of white American again and I asked for fries instead of chips - but I remembered the mistake from before, so I told the owner 'never mind' - that I would just take the chips. She told me she would charge me for a half order of fries, no problem. I ordered a medium Stuffed Meat Pizza instead of large. The pizza was amazing just like before. I will say this - even the 'medium' is massive. Regarding the chicken philly - I didn't realize that the chicken philly is just chicken and cheese. There's a charge for onions, charge for mushrooms and charge for peppers. I added all three. The fries are typically $4.50. I got a half order of fries - but was charged $3. And I was not given any chips at all. So I wound up overpaying. I would have been better off just taking the chips home to J and paying for the family fries. I asked about small order on the first visit because I hate being wasteful and I can't eat that many fries in one sitting - and 'family' sized order would get cold before I made it home. I think it's kinda odd that they have hot subs and don't offer a small order of fries as a side. Cold subs and chips, yes. But I don't typically want a hot sub with chips. My french fries weren't great today. But I think it was just because the oil needed changing. They were dark, so I think the cook pulled them too quickly thinking they were burning, so I had some undercooked, limp greasy fries and some dark brown fries mixed in. They cooked another batch and they were better, but still not great. The only other thing I find odd is they don't give you napkins - you have to get your own. I guess the regulars know this - but I think it's unusual to give a customer a stapled brown bag with sandwich or salad and not include a napkins in it. Maybe it's a pandemic / supply cutback thing. Customer service. Final note. I saw some of the reviews about customer service and I think, perhaps, this place might be under new ownership because the customer service is great. The owner is a woman. We had a long, fun conversation on my first visit and she was warm and welcoming. When I entered the establishment yesterday, I was placing my order & I was looking at the sizes trying to make sure I ordered the correct size - instead of just moving on to people behind me ... or forcing the people behind me to wait - she ASKED me if I minded if she took care of the people behind me right quick because they were picking up, and I said, 'of course not.' I know that might not seem like a big deal - but it's little things like this - that seem to have fallen by the wayside that make me want to patronize a business. read more

This has been one of my go to spots for pizza for years, but the last few times I've ordered a simple margherita pizza and they seem to leave out the fresh mozzarella. There is less consistency depending on who is making the pizza here. I'll have to remind them how to make a classic margherita if I order from here again. I discovered this spot recently and love the pizza. My lackluster 2 stars is because of the customer service. I ordered from a menu online. The fast talking lady took two separate orders for me over the phone. In my first order I not only got pIzza, but also an Italian sausage (bowl). Comes with the sausage, grilled onions and peppers, and cheese. Not on a pizza, not on a roll. In a what I'm calling a bowl. When I get there she tells me she has no idea what I'm talking about and that I ordered that as a pizza when I know for a FACT that I did not! She nor the man there was willing to even hear me out, correct the order or refund the money for the mistake that was hers. Also the menu online is different from the one in the store. Best Spaghetti and Meatballs I've had at a restaurant in a While! Went in, sat down, asked for some Spaghetti and Meatballs, then BOOM! A Huge, Delicious, Piping Hot plate right in front of me within 5 minutes (burnt my tongue a little on that first bite, but worth it!) It came with 2 small garlic knots but I was told If I wanted more just let them know. It was actually perfect. The noodles were Al dente, which is how they should be cooked in my opinion. The meatballs were fresh and the sauce was sweet, savory and garlicky all at the same time, with big chuncks of garlic hiding out between the noodles like little Garlic Assassins ready to attack. I loved it! The chefs and staff were really nice and welcoming as well. Saw some people eating Pizza and Salad which also looked really good. Came here on a Saturday late afternoon with hardly no one here. Food was 5 stars but service was 3, thus the 4 stars. Service was okay, but could have been better. It took way too long for the pizza to come out considering it was empty at the time. Also the lady at the front register for to-go orders kept coughing, which was not good considering coronavirus! Ordered a 14 inch pizza with four toppings. Loved the crust, the fresh ingredients, and the taste!! The toppings were ample and the Mediterranean salad was also delicious!! I found and tried this place from Yelp. I had my order delivered which arrive faster than expected. I ordered the dry rub wings which were horrible. A complete waste of my money. I also ordered a delux pizza and added a few toppings to it. The ingredients seemed to be fresh and pizza was average in taste. I am really unsure why this place has such good reviews, I cannot speak much about the food, but I can about the customer service. I went there on a busy day and wanted to sit in and eat. This is y first time here. I ask the woman at the to-go place what do I do. She said- just sit and they will Take your order. I waited patiently (over 30 minutes) to be acknowledged. It wasn't until a family came in after me, was sat and their order placed- did I get upset. I then asked for my order to be taken. They take my order (other mishaps, but not pertinent). My pizza finally comes out (I had been there an hour) and it was in a to-go box. I had ordered garlic knots and they were on a plate. I ordered Door Dash from here, which BTW I have ordered from here before. I couldn't customize my order online, but immediately called the restaurant and asked for light sauce. They said no problem. Well, as you will see from the post below, it was EXPLODING with sauce. When I called to complain today, the young woman said I should call Door Dash as it was not their problem, but when I insisted on speaking to someone, after first telling me to call back in 20 minutes, she said call back tomorrow. I read her the text from the Door Dash delivery person and said I would post on Yelp unless I could speak with someone today. She said, "go ahead and post in Yelp and someone will respond there." I can live with the extra sauce, especially since most of it unfortunately ended up in the driver's car, but the attitude - no. PS a cannoli soaked in unwanted marina is not good. Today we ordered Luceanna's Sicilian pizza cor take out. The description states " A Fluffy thick 16" square. It was not fluffy at all. The dough was so heavy and thick it was not appealing at all. If I was closer I would have taken it back. I know what Sicilian pizza should look and taste like as everyone has the own expectations. wasnt looking for perfection, BUT... if you advertise fluffy in your menu, that's what Sicilian is fluffy and crispy, that's what the customer should get. I have eaten there one time before and the dishes were very good. Maybe there is a new cook but today's meal was not very good at all. The people who are giving this sad pathetic pizza place over 1 star, just don't know what real SHOULD taste like and have probably never left the state of Georgia, OR they're friends with the owner. I'm from NY and like a thin, crispy crust, and so that's what I asked for... the bottom was still soggy, so I asked again to pop in oven to get it crispy. When I received it the second time, the edges were burned which is fine by me, but the bottom was still soggy. And when I say 'soggy' I mean still foam-like, doughy and STRETCHY. Not only was it unacceptable the second time, but he scraped up burned scraps from the oven. The level of care and attention to detail is nonexistent. I asked how old this pizza was and they kept insuring me it was 'fresh.' It wasn't palatable, I could maybe get down 3 bites. When checking out the owner goes, "You're from somewhere, but not from NY," which as an Asian, it was clearly a racial remark. "You don't know what good pizza is. You're wrong. Are you having a bad day or something. You are the only customer to ever complain. Everyone raves about this pizza. You're done here, leave and don't come back." Gladly, I won't. As other people have mentioned, the ambiance is 'off' and they all clearly hate their lives, not taking accountability for their product and putting the blame on the customer. Who does that? I felt bad for the cashier who seemed embarrassed on the owner's behalf, getting the impression that these interactions happen often. They should be embarrassed calling it "Italy's Pizzeria." It is the furthest thing from authentic Italian. Not sure how they're averaging 4 stars, but if you want disappointing pizza in a dirty looking place, that'll stroll a Kroger shopping cart through the narrow shop and disturb you while trying to eat, come here!
