The past 2 Sunday's ordered Xtra cheese slices with pepperoni & sausage On Top. Although they didn't put the toppings on top of the cheese, they were 10x better than months ago! On the plus side, the toppings were plentiful and fresh and the price point was solid for a gluten-free. I'm not sure how a crust can be undercooked & mushy while also being charred on the bottom. It was doughy and pastey to the point that I ate just the toppings but the kids ate the crust. It heated a tad better in a pan the next day to get the consistency desired, but not one that I will go back for. The lettuce in the salad was not chopped, just had slits in it where the attempt was made, so there was a little reconstructing that was needed before serving. Again, the pizza review is only for the gluten-free pizza, so keep that in mind with the criticality of the review. read more

I hate leaving a bad review, esp. for a small, family-owned place. But after going to dine in at Rosa's today, I'm going to speak up. Ordered and paid for pizza & drinks dine-in. Sat down & got our salad quickly. 40 min. later, after watching DOZENS of pizzas go out the door, we're still sitting there, no sign of our order. Teenage girl comes to pick up salad bowls, & not a word spoken. Husband asks politely if she can check on our order. It had been over 30 min. She says OK. 15 min. later, it finally comes out. She drops pizza on table & tosses a biz card on table w/handwritten "$10 off order" w/o a word, and walks away. Rude, dismissive, couldn't care less. Pizza was piping hot--obviously our order WASN'T EVEN PUT IN until we asked her to check. No apology, no manager coming out to explain. Note: the restaurant was EMPTY...only 2 other tables w/patrons eating in. 20+ years we were customers. Always dining in. Not anymore. My husband gave them their $10 card back. Great family run neighborhood pizza joint serving up good pies with a smile. Have picked up orders from here a bunch and it's always ready quickly, hot and just as ordered. Toppings are generous and crust is great. Stop in for the lunch special during the week. Love all the heros--especially the chicken parm. Not my fave, yall. Ordered delivery via doordash (which came promptly!!) but the pizza was just not good. The crust and dough were unpleasant - thick, doughy, kinda under and chewy. Not a fan at all. Also, the cheese and sausage topping we got was super bland - we had to put some of my homemade chili oil just to get some flavor out of it. Yum It's like a mom & pop Fellini's but some would say yummier. I dont know why we had not been to Rosa's before, but we decided to try it one day after my husband went by himself a couple times. It's great for the family. My kids are "ok behaved" in restaurants and I didnt feel like I was bothering their clientel with my hooligans. We ordered at the counter. I LOVE their White Pizza (slice). It still has the red sauce on it but I think it makes it tastier. The tastiest part is the LOTS OF ricotta it has on top. SO GOOD. My husband likes pepperoni and feta. My kids like pepperoni. My daughter who usually eats two slices of Marcos pizza can only eat one slice of Rosa's...it's big. BUT that is a good thing. Their salads are chock full of "stuff" not just lettuce. Covid-19 Update Happy to report that staff wear masks, seating is available outside, and indoor tables are off limits for the time being. As far as the pizza ..... three stars. People tend to like what they grew up with. My husband who's from Smyrna, GA would consider this NY pizza. I would disagree. The crust is thicker than what I know from Brooklyn. This lacks the telltale floppy fold when held, and let's not forget the grease -- yeah! that's a good thing -- which'll slide off when you hold the pointed end down. Cheese? Our pizza could've used a bit more. With our $2 coupon, we paid $16.27 for a large pie. My three star designation connotes decent pizza, but not the best. read more

I'm our search for a pizza place near our home, Rosa's is becoming a front runner. We have ordered here twice already - once for takeout and once through Uber eats. We ordered the exact same thing both times and were equally pleased both times. The prices were slightly higher through Uber Eats which happens - below are the takeout prices. We had the following: Calzone ($6.50) add Mushrooms & Pepperoni ($1.25 each) Large Hawaiian Pizza ($18.75) This is really solid pizza. We ordered it well done and it was cooked perfectly. The entire slice held up nicely and there is a generous amount of ham and pineapple. The crust is on the thicker side - probably one of the only reasons this isn't my absolute fave. I like a thin crisp crust and this one is much more dense than other NY style pizza I've had. Getting well done helps - but doesn't quite make up for the thickness. Of the various pizza places we have tried in the area Rosa's is still at the top! The calzone was awesome. It was not really cooked enough when we got it home so we popped it in the air fryer to finish cooking and give it some color. The flavor was so good though we didn't mind having to continue cooking it at home. The second time we ordered it, the cook was a little better but we still ended up browning it a bit more. We will absolutely return to Rosa's - and you should give them a try, too! read more

After months of quarantine and cooking every meal, we finally decided to order out. We made a great decision picking Rosa's. They serve NY style pizza here. large thin and foldable pizza slices. Since this was our first time ordering from here, we looked online to see what speciality pizzas they had. The website had no description for their speciality pizzas. While some were self-explanatory, others we had no idea what they would be. Instead of calling and asking, we just wanted it to be simple, we called and ordered two large two-topping pizzas. Even though my wife favorite type of pizza is mushroom and sausage, which we did order, our favorite pizza was the chicken with hot cherry peppers. The chicken was thinly sliced breasts and were so tender and juicy, I could have just eaten that. Well seasoned and perfectly cooked, I was surprised at how quality the chicken was on the pizza. Then, while we wanted jalapenos, they didn't have any, so we went with the hot cherry peppers. They were very flavorful and the perfect amount of spicy. Plus, it was great to mixup the kind of pepper we had. I thought the ratios of everything was just the icing on the cake for me to make each pizza a great choice. Not too much and not too little dough, cheese, and sauce in every bite. The employees were nice, the pizza great, and the orders on time. Lunch pizza review. I need pizza. I crave it and have a gluten intolerant husband, a 3 year old and parents from NYC so that combo makes finding good lunch NY style pizza a challenge. I need a place that is family friendly. Has good lunch specials by the slice (a must) and is good. Oh. And beer helps. This place has been here forever and I have never been. My loss. Disappointed. We've visited Rosa's for years and used their pizza as the standard against every other local pizzeria. In two recent visits, we've had low quality pizza and lackluster service. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza on the first visit, and the dough was raw and uncooked. The staff offered a replacement, and that was also undercooked. Three weeks later we visited again and ordered a simple cheese pizza. Again, it arrived undercooked, doughy and mostly raw. I'm a loyal patron, but can't support Rosa's unless something changes. The only positive I can offer is that seats are plentiful, even on a Friday night; we overheard another patron express "where is everyone?". Please improve. read more

The best thing about Rosa's is the amount of support it shows the community. They are always willing to support local youth sports. I can't lie however. I'm not a fan of the food or the ambiance of the restaurant. The dining room is dark. It looks like a bar that was converted into a family pizza joint. Let's start off by saying that I love pizza and have eaten at a lot of pizza places. Rosa's never dissapoints! The pizza is always hot, fresh and delicious. I can't speak to the restaurant itself because we have always ordered pickup. But the staff working at the counter have always been friendly. I really appreciate that they are willing to do the double-cut. It is super helpful with little ones so they don't have to try and pick up a large slice. The service at Rosa's Pizza was disheartening. My family and I walked in to place an order. 2 employees in the back playing with dough looked and us and did not acknowledge our presence. Both employees looked several times an laughed and continued to roll the dough, because that was more important than acknowledging your customer. That was a clear sign we were not wanted. I've passed by this place numerous times as they're in the same plaza as a Home Depot that I occasionally get my home improvement needs from, but I never really considered them since I have my go-to places as far as local pizzerias go. But when coronavirus ran wild on the world and forced intelligent people to hunker down and stay home, we look for alternative means to eat out, which is to say, summoning delivery services. Rosa's Pizza showed up in Uber Eats, whereas some of my other go-to joints did not; and when the wife and I want pizza, it's try some place new, or settle with mediocre chain pizza. I think we made the right choice going with Rosa's. I can tell you that Rosa's is located at the corner of Sandy Plains Rd. and Shallowford Rd, inside a large shopping center that houses a Home Depot and a Publix, but I've never been inside, nor can provide any other details than location, and that it's a pretty easy-to-get-to place from East Cobb, Roswell, or Woodstock. We've only ordered pizza from them, and they've never really disappointed us. They have pretty solid New York style in the sense that the dough is thin, easily foldable, and the centers sag, and there's just enough greasiness to them that they're savory but not too guilty. However, I will say that in my opinion, the centers of them have consistently been too soggy, and not very well sliced, and enough times to warrant mentioning, have been those instance where you try to pull one slice, but then end up ripping half of another slice off because the cuts weren't very thorough. A trite and petty critique, but if we're being honest, it's obnoxious to have to stick my fingers in the center of the pie in order to ensure I get one slice at a time. Overall, I'm happy with Rosa's. Quality pizza at competitive prices ($30~ for a large pie, garlic bread + cheesecake, and a tip). Kudos to them for teaming up with Uber Eats, as they're kind of my household's go-to when it comes to at-home food service, and by doing so, they've reached customers like me. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants pizza and wants to get away from Papa's Dominos Hut and get some decent local, NY-style pizza. Hopefully they weather the storm of coronavirus, and then I can go try them out in person someday. read more

After doing an Uber eats delivery for them I decided to check them out. I ordered2 sliced one pepperoni and one with mild sausage The pizza was quite good. Nice thin slightly crisp foldable ny slice as I was hoping for. One issue though. The sausage. It tasted like they used breakfast sausage crumbles instead of Italian sausage. Had to pick them all off. Why ruin a perfectly good ny slice by putting Jimmy Dean sausage on top? ‍ Other than that I will definitely come back and would recommend as well.
