I had a crack in my iPhone 4s screen for months and never got around to getting it fixed. I went in to iTech and got a very reasonable quote for the repair, and a good discount for getting a few other things (volume button and new battery) done as well. He was done with all of it within an hour and even stayed a few extra minutes after closing because I was late. I hope I do not have any more repairs for the 4s, but if I do I would not hesitate to go back to iTech. read more

So on Sunday I was running up my basement steps and my phone fell out of my jacket pocket, thus cracking my iPhone 4S front screen. Frustratingly, I only had four more months to go until I was due for my upgrade. My brother suggested I check out iTech Cellular which is right up the road from where I live and I thought, why not. So the next day, I called up the store and explained the situation to them. They told me the screen could easily be fixed for $85.00, which I thought was reasonable as I a) did not have warranty, b) did not want to spend the money on a new smart phone and c) did not want to cut my fingers on the broken screen. I asked the person what time they close, as I work in the city and typically get back to Dumont by 7:15pm by bicycle. He told me that as long as I arrived by 7:30pm, their close time, he would stay late if he had to to complete the work. (IMO, not many places operate like this, so this was a breath of fresh air) I arrived by 7:05pm and promptly greeted by, I assume, the owner (forgot his name). He took the time to explain to me the process and was upfront about the details of the screen changing, so as to mitigate any surprises. He noticed that I rode my bike and even offered a bottle of water, which was certainly appreciated. Long story short, iTech cellular went above and beyond what I expected from a small business, and was light years away from the service I normally receive from large corporations. I had an IPad and IPod with broken screens. It was too long of a drive to get to their office so I decided to mail the devices to them for repairs. I needed my iPhone 4 battery replaced. They were able to do it for around $40 (including tax). The Apple store would have charged nearly $100. They did it in less then fifteen minutes. The down side? The manager Jun was a wee bit snotty, but other then that, it was great and I would recommend. read more

For $120, cheap PLASTIC iPad screen not acceptable Cracked my iPad 4 screen, needed a replacement right away. Chose these guys over more expensive options including Apple which offered a brand new replacement for $300. #Regret Looked at my co-worker's iPad who fixed it himself and is the same exact screen you can buy for $20 on Amazon and fix it yourself for another $7 or so. Which means it costed these guys about $10 for the parts. I'm willing to pay outrageous markup if it's good materials but this is not so. The plastic hurts my fingers upon first touch. Yes, first touch. My fingers are a bit more sensitive than most but only a bit and I have zero problems with the original iPad screen as well as any other tablet no matter how long I use them. When you tap on this plastic with your fingernail it sounds and feels like tapping on an airplane window (the inside part) maybe a bit less hollow. If feels slippery, like there's a permanent coat of oil. Aside from the poor feel this iPad's re-sell value is almost nil because no one wants plastic. Was suspicious when I called as the answers to my questions were so terse and monosyllabic that I had to ask if he was busy, to which he replied no. In contrast, talked to another local repairer who charged $60 more but talked for 10 minutes and even mentioned "replacement GLASS". In retrospect, see why answers so brief, they're not lying per se but they know you're expecting the same glass for that price. But I needed my iPad right away so gambled. And lost. read more

This place is great ! I use to work around the corner from them but never had a reason to bring anything to them. Until one day after my iPhone 6 falling on a wood floor and the top of my screen literally hanging out of the phone. I went up to see if they can fix it and the guy said he was able to. They did a fine job on replacing my broken screen. I have a Nexus 5x which is somewhat uncommon so they had to order the part. The part came in when they said it would and the finished repair is perfect. It looks good and has been working fine for over a month now. I had water damage to my MacBook Air and went to Apple for pricing and they were asking almost $800 and itech was offered about $145. It works good but there are some noises that are alittle iffy whenever I use my speakers. But overall the laptop works great and it's way better than $800. read more

Do not come here. I was here earlier (Monday) at around 3PM and the person who worked at that shift was very very rude (guy with a beard). Very unwholesome person who should not be in this kind of business. He almost threw my iPad which I wanted to be repaired. He shouted many times and almost turned violent. After some discussion with the owner they rechecked the phone an realized their was an issue with the LCD that was not identified at first. They repaired the phone back with a replacement lcd and screen with any additional cost. The response of the owner showed how important his customers are to him.... Very satisfied now. read more

Another service well done. I have brought in my boyfriends Iphone with missing screen and pieces, it was honestly garbage but I knew he needed the information in the phone, and a phone. So the screen on my iphone 5s cracked and the touch screen stopped working. I was told to go to itech cellular from a friend that had high referrals for this place, and I wasn't disappointed. First, they were very helpful and willing to answer my questions. And second, the repair wad very fast. Maybe 20-30 minutes. It came out to 99.99 not including tax. I brought my ipad in to have the screen repaired. They quoted me a competitive price that was consistent with the competition and promised to be able to do the repair in about an hour. I cannot comment on the quality of the work, but I am commenting on the helpfulness and honesty of the establishment. As I handed the IPad to the technician, instead of performing the work and taking my money, he informed me that I my warranty made me eligible to return the IPad to Apple and receive a new one for only $50. I always appreciate a business who places the customer's needs above all else, and would highly recommend this establishment as an honest, fair and reputable business. read more

About a year ago, a friend of mine had told me about how she went to iTech Cellular to get her iPhone fixed. Recently, I spilled a drink on my computer and not only did it stop holding any charge, but the CD drive was broken too. I went to an Apple Store near me and was told that it would cost $800 to fix but then I remembered the place my friend had told me about. I immediately thought to at least TRY iTech and see if they could fix it for less - it ended up being less than $100 and the guys who worked there were SO helpful. The screen on my Samsung galaxy was cracked so I had them replace the screen on it. They were really nice and very helpful; however, I had to go back about three times because the corner of the screen keeps tilting up so I can't use the screen in the one corner. Bit off more than I can chew custom configuring my Galaxy S4; and ran into rooting problems. It took Jun less than a day to get it back to pristine condition - even avoiding reverting it back to factory settings and salvaging all my contacts, messages, etc. Do yourself a favor and avoid the extra couple hundred dollars buying a new phone and have these guys take care of your problems. I dropped my iPhone 4S and needed to get the screen replaced. So I went with then because it was the least expensive place around. I decided to go with the red color and when I picked up my phone everything was fine, until the ride home. I realized that the phone had a gray ring around the corners. I called them back and they told me to come the next day to have it looked at. When I arrived they told me that it was a software problem and nothing they could do about it. The owner advised me to go to apple after they put on a black screen and have apple replace it. I was uncomfortable with this so I refused and just left. Just this weekend I have my phone tested and found out that the screen was defective. The screen did not fit and they held it on with Tape. Very poor on their part I would not recommend anyone to go there. They will cheat you and when you call them out on it they will advise you to con your way into fixing the problem they caused. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! I called them to have the power jack fixed on my laptop. I was told they could do it in 4 days. It was an easy simple job. I called on the third day, got answering machine. I called on the fourth day and was told that they couldn't order the part in time, I said ok, they said they would expedite shipping and have it done. Weeks went by with no word, I called in between those weeks and got no answer or an answering machine. Finally four weeks later George I believe his name was left me a text message Stating that the LCD screen was broken and did I want to fix it. I called straight away and he gave me the run around like the other phone calls. He had to hang up but did call me back, he stammered when explaining that the screen was broke, lied and tried to tell me that I brought a laptop in with the broken LCD when he himself inspected it when I brought it for the Jack repair...it's on camera that he opened it up and looked at the screen. I am currently taking them to court. This is the worst experience with a business I have ever had. George is a liar, shady businessman and a crook. read more
