I can't say enough good things about George and my experience with his business. Being a college student, I've had my fair share of laptop issues in the past. I've also had my fair share of bad/mediocre computer repair service experiences in the past. George and his business ITGuy Solutions was quite the revelation for me this weekend. To get to my story, in October of last year, my Lenovo laptop crashed. Despite all my attempts, the laptop would not work and I thought it was as good as a paperweight. Cynical of taking it to another over-priced repair service in and around my neighborhood (Jefferson Park), I opted to buy a cheap serviceable laptop to hold me down for the rest of my semesters and left my old laptop in the corner. When summer came along, I researched the best IT services in the area and was impressed with ITGuy Solutions. Honesty, fairness, trust, dependability, communication, and skill were all recurring qualities which were present throughout all the reviews and all qualities I believed were paramount in selecting a good repair service provider. George not only met the expectations of these qualities, he exceeded them. I called him late Friday afternoon and he made himself available immediately. I met him in front of his place of residence to discuss the problems with the laptop (inability to boot, unresponsive startup repair, complications with the BIOS system, and possible hard drive damage). During the whole meeting, George was very caring, patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. He even did this while standing out in the rain. Afterwards, he immediately got to work on my laptop while keeping me posted on the progress of its repair through text and phone calls. He diagnosed the problem soon thereafter as corrupted files. The next day he ran further tests and found that there was damage to the hard drive. He kept me posted through the whole process and had the laptop fully repaired on Sunday. He then personally delivered the laptop to my work. What impressed me about my experience with George the most was that he always kept in mind the customer's best interest. George offered valuable advice on how to prevent future computer complications. He also installed anti-malware, cleaner, and handy office applications for better computer performance and protection. He also replaced the damaged hard drive within my computer free of charge from the original repair fee. He went above and beyond and is definitely an IT specialist I will recommend to my family and friends from here on out. Even when I have any questions, I can shoot him a text and he will be there to answer. Very positive experience. George came to the rescue when I was locked out of my laptop during finals week and moreover, a week away from my graduate dissertation and portfolio review. As a design student, my laptop was an essential appendage and despite having backed up most of my work I would have been unable to complete and fulfill the requirements needed to graduate in time. With no time to spare I was referred to George and I am so grateful! I don't know if anyone would have gone so above and beyond to ensure my pending presentation. One moment I was so happy and feeling prepared and then before I knew what had happened my Sunday whirled into an 80's sitcom nightmare montage...thankfully, my hero, George came to the rescue and directed the nightmare montage into a Rocky-themed success story! ITGuy provides a professional IT Service at a reasonable price for your home and office IT needs. Two months ago I called ITGuy in a rush to fix some computer problems that resulted from an overnight power outage. I spoke to George about the problems and he was very knowledgeable and accommodating in scheduling a next day appointment. We were in a huge bind because we could not operate properly without the internet. And calling Comcast was our last resort considering the poor services that they have provided to us in the past. The next day George showed up on time and within an hour or so had the problem resolved. There was a problem with our wireless router which lost the bridge connection to the Comcast modem in the power outage. George was quick to identify the problem and make the fix. He also ran diagnostics and clean ups of all of our computers, and made suggestions on how to improve several of the computers that were running slow. We called George a second time a week later to fix a problem with our office printer, and to install more RAM on the computers that were running slow. I used ITGuy last year to look at a couple things for me. 1) A micro SD drive from my Android phone that somehow lost its data. 2) A 2nd hand diy gaming pc that wasn't working. Neither of these things ended up being really fixable, but, I was happy with the service I received nonetheless. SD cards, once their data is lost, it's lost. In my case it didn't seem to be retrievable because it had nothing on there, which the Walgreens photo guy also said. The PC needed at the very least a new video card, which George purchased at MicroCenter (the best place for pc & other electronic stuff). He tried to get the pc to work, but it really just needed a complete overhaul including a new HD and memory, which I suspected anyway since I only paid $150 for on Craigslst . The 150 covered the case & the other parts which were, at that point, older anyway. Since then, I have also referred to ITGuy for recommendations such as his thoughts on anti-virus (paid or free). He has always replied back to my emails & texts very promptly (sometimes immediately). He came to my door to drop the stuff off back to me, and probably would have come to pick up as well, though I opted to drop off so I'd know where it was going. After the past month I have had between the having to find an appliance repair person to fix my fridge and a repair shop to fix my car and then to have my laptop get hit with some very serious malware that shut me down cold, I am thrilled to have found George the IT Guy. He quickly removed the malware infection from my computer remotely and had me drop by his place to repair all the damage that had been caused by it. George is the best and saved me tremendously when I needed an urgent repair. I spilled lemon water all over my MacBook Air work laptop on Sunday and was unsure I was going to get ahold of anyone to fix it given we are all in quarantine. George answered my message on Yelp within ten minutes and I had an appointment to drop off my laptop the next day. The track pad and internal mic needed repair and everything was complete within less than 72hours! He sent me a video of it working before I came and picked it up. We had an email emergency a year or two ago I want to say it was the day before new years eve (it was definitely a holiday weekend) where nothing was coming or going and we had to put in some serious orders that were time sensitive. We got on Yelp read the reviews of a few but George had the best.... we called and he came through late at night to help us. Since then he is our "IT Guy"! Very reasonably priced (don't tell him that!) especially when we can call or email and get an immediate response to either remotely fix our issues or if its serious in person. I can hands down say we are not easy customers and his patience is greatly appreciated especially when we call him panicking at 6 at night. I just used the ITGuy when my hard drive melted down. He was quick and responsive in trying to diagnose it. When he realized that there was a larger issue with the hard drive that needed additional technical expertise, they directed me to a different outfit (free of charge). Their recommendation was spot on and this other company that specializes in hard drive recovery turned it around quickly and successfully. And when I got the external hard drive back, ITGuy helped me locate on it important key files I needed fast access too. Their fee was minimal for all the leg work they helped me with. And they saved me a lot of money with their outside referral (local folks were triple in price). I would recommend them and use them again. read more

I normally don't write reviews but I feel that George deserves a five star, more if it were possible. I was having trouble with my network printers. All the printers were working fine except from one computer out of four. My wife figured my frustration was about to boil over and suggested IT Guys. Normally I have a distrust for computer gurus because of earlier dealings. By the way, this happened on Friday and Saturday and I figured I wouldn't get a response until Monday. George also installed software and recommended great products to use. I called ITGuy Solutions, for a HP AMD Quad Four PC that has a fried motherboard. The guy I spoke to was 'Jose' if I recall the name correctly. He was honest in telling me that a 5 year old PC is 'Not' worth repairing and even told me that I could save my Internal HD. George worked tirelessly to fix the problems on our computer. We had malware and viruses which were insidious and difficult to get rid of. George was awesome! Best Buy had diagnosed my new laptop I bought there as having a multitude of virus' and in turn wanted $200 to fix. George logged in to my computer remotely and verified that there were no virus' and narrowed down my actual problem which I was able to have Best Buy resolve at no charge since the computer was only 2 weeks old. We are a small office that works 100% online. Our Comcast service was in and out for about a week. We talked on the phone with Comcast, hired a different 3rd party technician, and had our in-house IT working on it as well with no solution in sight.
