She was so friendly, yet professional, and she cleaned it and wrapped it and gave me advice on how to ship it and what to charge for selling it from her professional opinion! ... And she did it all while I waited! The best part was that she charged me a VERY reasonable price for all of that. Took no more than maybe 20 minutes. And, her home is just darling! She has Macaws who were "speaking" to me!!! On top of that, I had her check our this silly little toy to see if she could fix it, so she took a look at that and was honest, and said she could not because it was just old circuitry. Absolutely horrible service. I dropped off my clock to have it repaired and I was told it would…read moretake 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I went to pick it up during the posted business hours and no one was there. I called the phone number and I heard a message that tells you they're not there, and to not leave a message. I tried calling several times during the day, and no one picked up until about 15 minutes before the posted closing time. I told him what I was looking for, and was told that he had not gotten to it yet, and to try again next week. I advised him that I wanted to pick up the clock and take it somewhere else, and asked if he would be there the next day, which he said that he would. I am now sitting outside of the store during the posted business hours, and once again no one is here. How can they run a business this way? I rarely write reviews, but if you need to get your clock repaired avoid this place at all costs.

When I arrived home, the clock no longer ran when plugged in. I called the store and was told I could receive a $35 credit on the $350 next cost of fixing the clock. The clock has sentimental value to me, however the original cost of the clock was less than $10 long ago. I recommend asking the repair price before the repair work is done. I paid the $35 and would have been satisfied if the clock continued to work, but I would not have agreed to the initial $35 repair cost if known before the 2 minute repair and I won't be returning For the next $350 repair.

There was someone there already getting a watch battery replaced. So, while waiting, I walked around admiring their clocks and watches. They have quite a selection - great if you need a nice clock for yourself or as a gift. I took some pictures and a short video and posted them for you to see. When it was my turn, he took the watch and went in the back. It didn't take much more than five minutes for him to return with the watch working again! And the price was very reasonable, under $20. One I had acquired about 40 years ago in downtown Chicago and the other a relatively cheap clock of which I was very fond. It turned out that there was nothing wrong with the older clock (please don't ask me to explain my stupidity) but the gentleman pictured cleaned it and told me all about its history. I was able to take it home immediately and he charged me a grand total of $8 for that very kind service. The other was a much more modern clock, one of four that I owned. It actually needed Far more work. Again, he explained its history. I received a call that I could pick up the second clock and a young gentleman whose family has been involved in the business met me with charm and graciousness. Both clocks are now perfect (and spotless). It almost makes me want to break a clock. This was a wonderful experience.

I'm always a little reluctant to hand that watch over to anyone not just because of the type of watch it is, but it does also hold sentimental value. They allowed me to stay onsite and hang out while they serviced the watch. While the watch was being serviced we sat and chatted about the history of watches and the future of quartz and digital, really a great experience all around and I would highly recommend going here with your time pieces. Something worth keeping in mind, especially during the pandemic, a lot of factories supplying parts for our watches and clocks are running much slower with production, so if your timepiece is held onto longer than you expected, you can bet it's supply chain issues and not this location.
