salad bar and froyo by weight...
    Hen A.

downtown sonora...after dinner and looking for some ice cream for the children...kids were immediately drawn to the fro-yo shop...just seeing one staff...some tables near the entrance and the center dominated by a large salad bar...wasn't expecting to see a salad bar in a fro-yo shop...just seemed odd...didn't see anyone eating salad...couple other customers eating fro-yo...going to the fro-yo pumps and just 4 flavors...the consistency of the fro-yo wasn't great...little watery and mushy looking fro-yo coming out...moving on to the topping station...definitely a large variety of toppings...endless boba selection along with candy, cookies and more...pay by weight...it's pricey...quality isn't great...thought it was a little odd how quickly the staff locks in the weight the second you place the fro-yo on the scale to get the price...no others in line...

    This cost $5.04

Highway robbery! Go here if you want to have an authentic experience of being robbed in a gold Rush town. Outrageously expensive! Two medium to small containers of yogurt cost $16! This attached picture of a tiny bit of yogurt in the smallest container cost $5.04! They have four flavors to choose from and lots of toppings. But they are outrageously expensive and nickel and dime everything. I would not recommend going here unless you're a trust fund kid.

I used to go to Yo Good all the time when I was younger-I loved the selection of toppings and variety of flavors they had. However, I just recently went back with my friend- and there were only four flavors to choose from- chocolate, vanilla, cake batter, and sour apple. My friend informed me that these have been the same flavors the past several times she has gone in the past year. They still had a selection of toppings, however all of the candy toppings- the gummies, brownie bites, candy pieces, etc- were stale. The berries were dry like they had been sitting out for days. The restaurant smelled like an old sewage house, and it was very humid and hot in there. The staff however were attentive, but the only thing they had to do was check us out. Overall, this place has gone down hill- while the idea is there for a self serve yogurt bar, they just need more variety of flavors and fresher toppings.

Very clean with a helpful staff. A bit disappointed with only four flavors. Cool idea to have a baked potato bar!

Tried the loaded baked potato, chicken tortilla, clam chowder, and a grilled cheese sandwich. The soups were great - no complaints. My least favorite was the clam chowder, it was a bit peppery for my liking but still good. They're not the best I've ever had, but super satisfying and I'll definitely be back to try more! The grilled cheese was the surprise winner of it all. Cheddar on sourdough - simple but amongst the best I've ever had. It didn't need all the extra fancy stuff, I liked it simple. Nice strong cheddar flavor on a yummy bread :). Prices were reasonable considering inflation . $5.75 I think for a cup, $10.50 for a bowl and $13.50 for a bread bowl. I should've asked the price of the flight because I definitely want to try that. The bread bowl filled me up for lunch, but idk that the soup alone would have. Location is inside Glazed and Confused donuts, to the left of CVS. It's a bit hidden - a true hidden gem. Service was good. Order at the counter. We got the food to-go, but there are about four 4-person tables inside to eat at. They also have an arcade type game and small kids area with some random play stuff and books.

I ordered a bowl of the Chicken & Dumplings, and my wife had the Vegetable Beef & Barley. We also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. My Chicken & Dumpling was a thick creamy soup with chunks of chicken and dumplings that had great flavor. It was very filling. My wife raved about her Beef & Barley. The grilled cheese sandwich was awesome and a great compliment to the meal. We will definitely be going back to try some other flavors. I see that they have added a selection of fries....gotta try the poutine....hopefully, they serve it old school without battering/deep frying the curds. Would definitely return and recommend.

The other location in Buellton closed a while ago so I think this maybe the only one left. Could be the original but I'm not sure. Just off the 5 heading north. We stopped by for a quick bite before heading back on the road. Mid week which wasn't that busy. It's been so long ago that I didn't remember what the inside looked like. As we had our little pup with us, they were able to accommodate us. There's three entrance from the front area. Main being the one that leads you to the restaurant. Another is from the gift shop side and we also noticed people coming in from the side of the bar. One side is the restaurant which we looked at but ended up at the bar section. Which happened to be happy hour happening. Didn't know they had that to offer. Bar area was pretty quiet when we were there but it did pick up. There's also patio seating right outside there. Main menu pretty much has as everything but we just opted for some happy hour bites for now. Drink special was offered both for draft and bottle as well as cocktails and wine. Food menu, they were limited on that but the usual were offered. Both cup or bowl of the famous soup was available. Half order of the potatoes skin, onion rings and wings were available as well as the quesadillas. Soup was decent but could have been hotter. Onion rings, and the wings were ok. Good nothing major to rave about. Both served with ranch sauce. I also picked up some dessert from the counter which looked great. Happy hour items were decent for the price. The service for the whole place was great. All The staff and waitress were very friendly and helpful. Our waitress who was also the bartender was a major doll. She was very sweet. As well as all the ladies on the restaurant side. Very accommodating to us. Overall, it was a cute stop off for a quick bite. Cute gift shop that's worth a wandering around. Plenty of parking available.

Outside there is a photo op and the building looks really cool. Inside, you can find all things Danish. However, I was sad to find the shop was so much smaller than the pictures on Yelp show. Everything is connected inside - the shop, bakery, restaurant, bar, and restrooms. The restaurant is huge and there's also an eating area at the bar and a back patio, although it was dusty and cramped and I don't think many people use the patio seating. They are dog friendly and the bartender allowed us to sit in a corner of the bar with our two dogs for our dinner. We also were able to walk them around inside the shop. Split Pea Soup 3.5/5* The soup itself is boring. There's a grainy texture, good flavor, but blah. You definitely need to order the toppings to go with it, which is a weird combination of stuff that somehow makes the soup so much better. You get cheese, sliced ham, bacon, scallions, and croutons but the crunchy green onions and bacon are what makes the soup pop. It feels like eating a healthier version of chili. Country Fried Steak 2/5* Not your typical country fried steak. The batter on this is thin and isn't very textured with crunchy edges. It was like a sad limp piece of fried patty. The steak had good seasoning but the batter really did it no justice. Hashbrowns were average. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and English Muffin was perfectly toasted. I do like that they give you a whopping amount of whipped butter for your toast! The bakery had some good looking pastries. The whole experience reminded me of a piece of Solvang. Great rest stop for something different. Plus, the bathrooms are huge and clean.
