I'm not sure what made it acceptable for an employee to curse at a customer. She seemed very tired, and we were the only group in the store. Assuming they were about to close soon, we hurriedly picked out our items. On my way to the counter, I noticed some chocolate that caught my eye, so I briefly stepped past her to grab it. To my surprise, I heard her say, "What the f**k" right in front of me. I was shocked and uncomfortable with how I was treated. I brought my cousins here, who were visiting from overseas. When I left the store, it was 9:01 PM. I understand how tiring it can get, trust me, I've been there. But this kind of behavior crossed a line. I haven't been spoken to like that since high school. Retail is tough, but that doesn't excuse this kind of behavior. I hope management addresses this issue, as customers should never be treated this way. read more

Love taking my kids here as a treat, they love picking out the candy from containers which I've noticed a lot of candy stores don't do anymore. Great place to find gifts for anybody with a sweet tooth IT'SUGAR has a huge variety of candy and snacks you can't find in a regular grocery store. I came here during a family vacation with my sister and niece to explore what San Jose malls have to offer. It my sister and I several times to find this shop as the San Jose mall is huge. Once inside you are in Candy heaven. I always wondered how they keep the candy fresh people are constantly letting air in yo grab their candy. I sampled quite a few...there wasn't a sign that said customers couldn't...but even if it did I would still sample before I load up my candy. My niece and sister were going candy crazy in the store. They had candies from different countries which I thought was cool. They had LARGE Reese cups and other huge name brand candies. I am not really a candy person these days as I am trying to cut back on my sugars. Therefore, I didn't leave the store with a bag of candy like my niece and sister. Anywho I got joy of making them happy and dealt with their sugar rush back to the hotel. Definitely, a must stop for sure if you want to go candy crazy and your kids! Most of it is sold by the pound and its easy to rack the price up as candy can weigh a lot. Staff is friendly and on top of things overall. Again, I don't want to spoil too much of the surprise. A bit pricey, $35 but it's too cute to pass it. A friendly staff told me they had a piggy version(costume ) too but got sold out. With covid , the shipments have been slow and delayed, he said. While doing a spot of shopping in the Mall this place immediately caught my eye and naturally seeing all the rows of candy the kid in me just couldn't resist and I just HAD to go in and have a look. They have a decent sized selection of goodies, Pez, Pop Rocks, M&M's, Jelly Belly, Jolly Rancher and Nerds to name a few. There's also bins of various candies and chocolates where you Pick and Mix your own but the quality?.. Gah! Pretty damn nasty if I'm completely honest. Very cheap ingredients (despite the price tag) and texture is either rubbery or like wax. I've been to this store a number of times and None of my visits ever stood out... Not untiL today. I came in and was greeted by a warm smile. The employee was standing right in the middle of the store and made sure to acknowledge EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO WALKED IN. As I made my way around the store, I noticed her offering patrons samples and asking if anyone needed any help. There was another worker who stood behind the cash register and didn't bother to say hello or even fake a smile.... The typical customer service that is given here. Womp womp womp. I'm bummed that I didn't catch the nice asian girl's name but this place can thank her for the extra star!! This is the only candy store that I know of that sells giant sized tootsie pops, nerds, sugar daddy suckers, red vines, Hershey's chocolate syrup, and the worlds largest gummy worm and gummy bear among other super sized sweets. They also have giant sized lip balms in candy flavors as well as regular sized lip balms and glosses, candy pillows, t-shirts, funny notes, magnets, and other cool items. It's located on the upper level of the mall. There are lots of bins filled with gummy candy flavors that most places don't have such as giant snake gummies which are big and really tasty. You can find both old and new candy here such as ring pops and candy purses. They also have mugs and ice cube trays shaped as castles and chill pills. The tins of mints they have are really cool. Now they sell soda in sleek tin bottles too but the selection is limited to mostly Coke products. There are even small Chinese takeout containers in various colors to put your candy in! The glosses and balms are cool looking but tasteless. I got a package of laffy taffy lip glosses and one Betty Crocker vanilla frosting lip balm and they were all flavorless. That is my only main complaint with this place. If you love candy, you'll love this store! read more

I loooovveeee candy, especially if its gummy, sour or lollipops! I always have trouble find Chupa Chup lollipops but they have them in stock here and you can choose the flavors you want instead of buying a bag of them and being stuck with flavors you don't like mixed in with your faves. There's so many different kinds of candy and novelty candy such as Harry Potter chocolates and bean bozzled jelly beans! There are also a lot of character merchandise such Hello Kitty, Boo & Pusheen! Great place if you're a candy fiend or even if you are looking for a gift for a friend, as you are not bound to the option of just buying candy here. One of the boxes was labeled Swedish Fish but after a friend of mine bought it it was not even the real one! The flavor was off and the candy was stale. Love their gummies! Soft, chewy, classic gummy candies in a variety of colors and pretty much every flavor imaginable. Tried some of their regular as well as more exotic flavors: watermelon, grape, strawberry, pineapple, chocolate covered gummy bears and the chili pepper... All were good with the exception of the chili pepper - ughh! Though their gummies are sweet and soft with better quality than most gummies I've tried, they are very overpriced at $13 per pound. I love candy stores, soooooo much. It's hard to give them anything less than 4 stars because I love them so much lol, but sadly this particular location is extremely over priced. Contrary to sweet factory, they charge almost twice the amount. I still ended up getting a little bit of this and that from here, and my grand total was only about $4, which wasn't bad. But you really have to take in to account how much you are buying, because you can get seriously carried away! Other than that, I was stoked to have my gummies and chocolate. The store is pretty big (much bigger than sweet factory), so there's tons to look at. I like that they have other things besides just candy (i.e. novelty items, toys, knick-knacks, cups, etc.) They really went with a positive, colorful angle. And that's why I give them 4 stars! Good vibes at this place with the staff too. They seem to not hate their jobs, which is a plus in any retail job, since most staff seem to hate what they do and let you know it lol. Try the huge gummy worm or the gummy bear on a stick. I love gummy candy and found both fun to snack on while strolling through the mall. You might turn a few heads when you are gnawing on a three foot gummy worm but who cares... you have a 3 foot gummy worm hanging out of your mouth! You can find all sorts of candy like supersized Nerds to classic M&Ms. The thing that bothered me the most was that there were 3 employees working at the time of my visit and not one of them greeted me during the 15 minutes I was there. Also, as a warning to those who have young children. There are some 'erotic' themed items like edible underwear for both men and women that were easily seen by my 5-year old who quickly asked " Daddy, what are these?", candy cigarettes and hand sanitizers with erotic messages on the label to name a few. If you find these items offensive, then make sure your children don't visit the back corner area by the coke fridge. How do you not walk into this store? It's colorful, lures you in with cutesy items, and actually smells wonderful once you get close enough to the goods. I was immediately drawn to the back wall where they have special treats from Japan like exotic Pocky and KitKat flavors and even the Crave Japan box that has a surprise assortment of tasty snacks from Japan. They had a special Sour Patch Kids section that had giant boxes, special edition ones, and even Funkos of the different characters. Now I'm not going to lie there was a brief moment where I considered if it was edible but upon further inspection it is definitely just a Funko Pop. The middle of the store has a bunch of self-serve containers where you can pick and choose different candy. There's a huge selection and they seem to have a deep variety of gummy bears. The only thing is that kids love a good candy store and when they see candy they kind of go crazy. There were a lot of hands grabbing straight from the bins so I would recommend getting prepackaged goods if you're squeamish about that. One other thing I love to check out is what Pusheens they have in season. This time they had extra large plain Pusheens, the normal size mermaid tail Pusheen, and some little key chain ones as well. One of them was holding a chip bag that actually crinkled like a real chip bag.
