Several visits and the only problem I've ever had with this place is that I eat too much candy. One thing I love about this location is that almost always have scotch kisses (NOT scotchmallows, scotch kisses, they're better - don't buy them all now that I've shared the secret) available. Other than the manager, it's new staff pretty much every visit, but they're always courteous and knowledgeable about the chocolates. read more

I think these are the worst chocolates ever sold. I've tried See's many times and I wished I enjoyed it each time. I think if you love chocolates and are picky with the quality, this is not the place. It's overly sweet and really doesn't have a smooth taste like Godiva or Laderach. But, the prices are steep as if it were premium quality. I would skip it and go over to a great chocolate shop that has quality chocolates since you're already paying a lot. I'm also not sure why this store is not as friendly as I remembered it to be. I went inside to buy a Christmas box and the staff didn't seem as friendly or welcoming. They are all behind the counter and if you have a question they don't offer to help you locate what types of candies you are looking for. So, I was randomly choosing different chocolates to buy and felt rush since there were people behind me and so I just chose any milk chocolates just to fill the box for a gift. I didn't feel like it was a great choice to be there in the first place. I would try a different store or location. While it was convenient, it lacked customer service. read more

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am so impressed by how thoughtful, helpful, and kind the staff here at the Sees Candy is. I walked in with immense curiosity and I was helped by the awesome Thuan. He offered me some chocolate samples and they were all rich + delightful. I was very impressed that Thuan could tell me the name and ingredients of any chocolate I chose. A professional chocolatier? Very cool! Thuan helped to guide me to my preferred selection and also showed me great sales they have on leftover Christmas theme candy's. This was my first time shopping in Sees Candy on my own so Thuan definitely was SOOO HELPFUL and made a lasting impression. I was also helped by Christine at the register and she is so lovely! Christine was very kind, nice, and helpful. You can definitely tell when people genuinely love their jobs and these two people made my Sees Candy shopping experience GREAT. I love how Sees Candy has such a cute and colorful Valentines display up! It definitely gets you into the loving + romantic holiday spirit. They have sooo many different Valentine's Day options it hard to choose because everything looks SO GREAT lol. I really love all the cute new Valentines design they have this year. It's also super helpful how they have photos above the Valentine's Day box displays to show the contents of all the boxes in the photos with written details. I love it. :) Also it has the perfect amount of Sees chocolate to snack on throughout the week. I love this location because they have soooo many easily available parkings upfront and it's in a perfect shopping center location with great stores around like Ulta, Ross, Starbird Chicken, Nail Kitchen Bar, and an awesome sushi place (forgetting the name). Sooo many great stores nearby so it's the perfect last stop from shopping + nails to some yummy chocolate desserts. Mmm mm! Also this location is absolutely PRISTINE, it's decorated beautifully, well lit, and everything is super clean + organized. While looking through the selections in front of the glass case, another staff asked if we would like to try any of the candies. Bought some blueberry and bordeux candies and a gift card for Secret Santa. I like the nut clusters the most especially the almond. They have the Holiday specials so will be going back for those. Tricia greeted us as soon as we walked through the door, and of course, offered us a free sampling of chocolate. While my friend was choosing a birthday card from the spinning display rack up front, Tricia walked out from behind the counter with a big round box of chocolates and proceeded to describe practically each individual piece to me! I was impressed! She knows her See's chocolates!!! The store is bright, clean and beautifully merchandised! There is candy for every season, holiday and any age group! And even something for your dog! They had a cute stuffed chew toy shaped like a box of See's chocolates! Walking into the store brought back memories from my youth when I always bought a signature See's Lollypop. These Lollypops were delicious and lasted a long time! My favorite See's candy though is the Molasses Chips! While my friend was still choosing a birthday card, Tricia proceeded to get the birthday candy box my friend wanted and put a birthday slide over the box! It was such a nice added touch! Great people work here with amazing customer service. However, It is TOO hot in the store. I went in Monday and I grabbed a bag of chocolate. (Yummy pecans buds, but could not take them after this) Within about two minutes the chocolates started to melt. This is ridiculous, this has never happened before in any candies store! Even in the summer time! I could barely shop in there for 10 minutes without starting to feel super hot. I asked the workers if they can change the temperature and they said they weren't in charge of it. I hope corporate changes this because it's unbelievable. My candies did not look good anymore and the workers looked uncomfortable. But overall the people there are nice. Store is located in a friendly area. And looks pretty and clean. read more

Nothing beats walking into a See's candy with a kid. The immediate scent makes any kid smile. This location is tucked into a very busy shopping center. It's got a lot of foot traffic and sometimes parking isn't what you'd like it to be, but that's only on the weekends. Walking in we were greeted. The back door was open to the stock room & you can see an employee sitting in the back enjoying their break. It was kind of an eye sore to see as there were many people waiting in line. I like the idea of customizing different boxes. A hint for those trying to do that, do your research ahead of time. There will only be 1 person helping in the front & you will hold up the time. I understand you deserve great service, I understand you shouldn't feel rushed. I have to give this See's location five stars for a couple of reasons. I came here on a business trip to pick up 125 of their 1 lb assorted boxes for Christmas gifts for my department. For some reason that was not explained to me, the form of payment for these given me by my manager was a stack of *many* gift cards. The amount of time it took to individually scan a sufficient number of these to pay for the boxes amounted to just over an hour. So, I had all that time to just hang out in the store and wait. And what do you do when hanging out in a See's with a staff and manager who are grateful for the largest transaction in the store's history? Unlimited chocolate samples. How many could you eat? I thought they were small enough I could sample as many as I could fill up on. Haha, not so. Not so at all. I reached 5 and had to bend over and stand back from the counter. The manager kept telling me "you can have as many as you want, here try this one..." I choked down a sixth one and asked for some water, which they don't serve. So, after begging the ice cream shop next door (sic) for ice water and sitting outside for 20 minutes or so. I came back in and the guy behind the counter asked if I wanted to try a Rum Raisin Truffle with him. We did it like a shot. I barely escaped a sugar coma. The chocolate is good. The assortments definitely vary and are high on mystery. The curiosity / reward of discovering what's in center of each is like a yummy game. I prefer the creamy, fruity varieties typically. The store itself has a classic feeling. Everyone who enters is offered a sample or two. And it really is very much like being a kid in a candy store to be handed a sampler tray and offered to pick any piece you want. Total throwback. I have a See's Candy gift certificate that I won last year at a company raffle. I'm not much of a chocolate person so it's not a surprise that it took me so long to redeem the gift certificate. What's good about the certificate is that it does not have any expiration date. The certificate is good for 1 pound of chocolate. So last weekend, me and my daughter went to the store in Brokaw to redeem it. The lady in the store told me that my gift certificate can be used to any of the chocolate that is priced at $21. I can either get the one big box or get any variety that equals the said amount. If the total goes over $21, we just have to pay the difference. What a sweet deal! What I got: a small box of limited edition eggnog truffle, A small gold box of various truffles and See-gar chocolate (cigar shapped milk choc) all for a total of $22.15 so I just paid $1.15 extra! I'm a huge fan of See's Candies no matter what time of the year it is, but admittedly there's an influx of See's Candies visits on my end during the holiday season. This See's Candies location couldn't have opened up at any more of a perfect time in the first week of November. I also happened to stumble into See's Candies on its second day of the grand opening. Lucky me! Thankfully this location is an easy and accessible spot for North SJers. I would have to go all the way to the Valley Fair Mall's store or Eastridge Mall's pop-up store for See's Candies. I had such a pleasant experience with customer service. The associate who helped me was extremely kind and personable. The sales associate gave a great idea of using the Scotch Kisses for candied yams on Thanksgiving! She was also very patient with me while helping me fill a 1lb box. I ended up spending more than $25, which entitled me to a promotional free, small box of assorted chocolates. I love the quality of See's Candies. The Scotch Kisses, which are the soft caramel covered marshmallows, are my absolute favorites. They're essential in every box or bag I create. My favorites of the chocolates include the Marzipan, Divinity Puff, Milk Chocolate Vanilla Nut Cream, and Beverly. The rocky road is very good at See's but would love to see them come out with some type of s'mores chocolate in the future. read more

I highly recommend this location for their excellent staff. My cravings for white chocolate has intensified as I cannot have any milk or dark chocolates. Being a Sees fan for decades, I knew they had white chocolates to offer me. I was just at a different Sees location and they didn't have one of the options I saw at this location. It was the mint truffle. I got that as well as polar bear paw, divinity puff, scotch kiss (the only non white chocolate option I got), birthday cake, strawberry truffle and apple pie truffle. I got them in a bag and I should have just gotten a box. I don't know the price difference but it was hard to distinguish between the truffles which flavor was which. I got the menu but I was also lazy to look when I just wanted to indulge. The staff working offered me a sample but I declined as it was all milk and dark chocolate. She offered to get me a white chocolate sample instead and I was so excited. I got a polar bear paw. She made my day and I left with my haul of white chocolates. read more

I like that she gave me time to look around and only talk when I had questions. I was looking for a Birthday presented package but the choices I got were not in the Birthday package. What Christine did was to offer to gift wrap them for me and meticulously made them pretty while still being attentive to other customers. Awesome, my first time ever seeing!! They needed a bigger giant scissor, but that was fun to witness and experience! Lots of happiness in the air ^_^ I received a free tote bag since they were giving away to the first 100 people whom entered. Grand opening and ribbon cutting happened at 9:30am. A lady said friendly words and along with introducing everybody. Then, the doors with balloons swang open. I've been to this location before and had a wonderful experience it was some time ago. It was a young lady who helped me and I don't remember her name but she was absolutely fantastic. Such a kind and helpful young lady. Now fast forward to yesterday my mother and I went in now that they're open. Thoung (I believe is how his name was spelled) he was outstanding. He had great suggestions and also recommendations on what would be the best deals. He was very knowledgeable about the candy and even the history. I simply asked if they had a particular flavor because the sign was out, his response, "no we don't have that, is the dish out"?
